I LOVE the miss fortune eyeliner! And at $14, that’s a real steal! How big are the bottles?

    Hi Ms Britt,

It’s a normal length pencil. AND girrrrl… they don’t budge. I swear I still have those swatches on my hand, and I used a makeup removal wipe and have washed my hands about five times since I doing them earlier today. LOVING ‘EM!

I didn’t get to swatch Miss Fortune when visiting the counter today 🙁
The swatch shows it looking kind of lilac-y??

    Hi Daya,

Yup, it’s purple. I think it looks extra violet on me because my skin tends to bring out those tones.

Have you tried your Cremesheens yet?

I think I like the liners more than I like the shadows. What kind of finish do they have?

Also, I wish there was a really dark black liner in the collection. Like, Feline dark, but with more staying power…

    Hi Elle,

The shadows are sheer and seem to be a bit chalkier than usual. I will have to work with them more… I’m a bit undecided about them at the moment.

The Pearlglide liners were LOVE though. They felt really smooth and had lots of lovely, shimmery pigmentation.

The shadows aren’t that exciting to me – although I like the packaging. Reminds me of old school Clinque:)

The liners look cool – but they aren’t something I’d usually go for. I think I’ll save my dollars!

Chanel Holiday!! I already got my hands on the beiges de chanel quad and I’m itching to see the rest:)

I’m really not that thrilled by the shadow colors, but if the liners have good staying power, I may need to bag me a wolf! 🙂

    Hey Karen,
Im loving the look of the Spare Change liner it looks really nice and rich!!
Im not too taken by the shadows though, ive never really been a fan of duos, Sweet Liason looks nice but I think I have too many similar colours already!
How smooth and easy to apply do the liners feel? Im really loving my Power Khol in Feline at the moment it just glides on and the staying power is surprisingly good for such a soft pencil!

I have been longing for those eyeliners! They all look amazing (and I love eyeliner). Butbutbut I’m moving in a week and shouldn’t be buying new things… (but eyeliners are small, right? They won’t take up that much packing space…)

    Hi Laurie,

Oh yeah, the liners are very cool. I was surprised with how much staying power they had.

Did you get the European version of that quad with the round half domed shadows? I picked that up as a birthday present to myself in June and DAG NABBIT I can’t find it. *tears*

    Hi Glosslizard,

Yeah, they have great staying power… I’m looking at my hand right now and I still see the swatches.

Le sigh, the funny thing is I walk around all day practically dripping in glitter and nobody says anything about it, LOL!

    Hi Elle,

Well, they aren’t as emollient as a kohl liner, for sure, but they are definitely soft and pretty smooth for something with shimmer in it. They aren’t as chalky as the MAC glitter liners from last year’s Holiday release, fo’ sho.

    Hi Holly,

They do have shimmer in them so they aren’t as smooth as a regular kohl, but they’re pretty soft and they glide on easier than other shimmer/glitter liners from MAC that I’ve used in the past. I really like the subtle nature of the shimmer, too. It’s not gritty or in your face.

When I was at the MAC counter on Tuesday, the girl working there told me about the new lines. She said I should come back on Thursday…she was right!

    Those Pearlglide Eyeliners look TO.DIE.FOR.!

She also let me in on a secret about a formerly discontinued product that will be coming back. She said she could get fired for telling me.

    I hope she doesn’t!

That’s probably the online launch date. Counter launches are usually the following Thursday, which pushes up the date 9/2. Gahh! So much MAC!

    Hey Lady!
I just wanted to report back to you – I did end up buying Smoke and Ash at the Bloomies MAC counter – the girls there rock – they babysat my daughter while I paid for my shadow! I can’t wait to play with this duo set – $15.50 for two shades – so worth it!!

MAC is evil – they seem to know when to release new colors when I’m trying to save my money!

Then we strolled (literally) to the NARS counter – bought Gothika gloss – LOVING it!

I went beyonf my budget to get these new eyeliners, and let me tell you, they are sooooo worth it! They are so beautiful with fabulous staying power. They don’t move, smudge, budge entill you take them off. Yet they go on so creamy smooth. I love all the colors, and I did get all 8, plus I got a couple of sets, since they are a limited edition! Wish MAC would keep them on as their permanent product. Get these you guys, they are gorgeous!! I’m not too much into eyeshadow, but wear liner everyday, and mascara. These by far are the best eyeliners MAC came out with. LOVE THEM!!!!!!

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a.
