I’m Completely Happy with Clinique’s Complete Happiness Fragrance Set for the Holidays

November 26th, 2011 by Karen 13 Comments

clinique complete happiness (3)

’tis the season for sets of tiny perfume bottles (YAY!), but not all of them are created equal. This year Clinique has one of the cutest and most practical sets in town.

Each of the five travel-size 0.24-fl. oz. bottles in the new Complete Happiness Set ($37 for the set) fit easily into most makeup bags, and all of them have — wait for it — a spray top spritzer! 🙂

I know it’s a weird thing to get fired up about, but I collect mini perfume bottles like these, and most of them just have an open mouth on the bottle. I’ve had a couple of those pop open in my makeup bags over the years, spilling perfume everywhere, so a small touch like an atomizer top makes these from Clinique that much more practical.

But what about the scents? Well, I’m glad you asked.

clinique complete happiness (1)

Complete Happiness comes with five bestselling scents from Clinique’s Happy family of perfumes — Happy, Happy Heart, Happy in Bloom, A Hint of Citrus, and A Wealth of Flowers.

Officially, the names of the fragrances are supposed to have a period (.) at the end, like Happy in Bloom., but my inner punctuation nerd wanted me to leave the periods out. Period. 🙂

I like all five of these scents, which all take cues from the sparkling citrus notes in the original Happy, the matriarch in the clan. They generally feel youthful and uplifting to me and last a good long while, even through an entire work day.

A teenager or college-age daughter, or a niece, other family member or friend of any age who loves bright, citrusy floral scents might like enjoy this set a lot.

Individually, I also think they’d make great stocking stuffers.

PRICE: $37 for the set
AVAILABILITY: Available now at Clinique counters and also online

I used to wear the original Happy all the time when it first came out. This set sounds great, although these seem like fragrances I would wear in spring and summer. I’m all about the warm and cozy scents this time of year.

Are the bottles made of plastic? They look really nice with the cap on, but look so cheap without it.

    Karen,
I’m PUMPED for these (pun kinda intended)! I have Happy Heart and Happy In Bloom in their OG bottles and a dual ended rollerball. The rollerball is awesome because it’s fragrance on one side and a lipgloss on the other, perfect for travel and purse stash. I haven’t smelled the new ones. Don’t like OG Happy, way to orange!!! Do you like anything else Clinique? Oh and I only buy Clinique when there’s a GWP!!!

Man, that brings back memories! Back in the day that was my favorite perfume. I went through at least 2 big bottles of that stuff in high school. Not to mention all the gwp bottles. I might have to get this. It has been a while since i have smelled this.

Oh wow this is wonderful, I saw this set but skipped it because I couldn’t tell if the bottles had spray tops! I know I won’t really use it unless I have a sprayer! Thanks I gotta get this now!

This is such a cute set.

I like miniature perfumes too, but I rarely use them all. So I don’t buy them.

I used to love the original Happy because it was a very unique scent: citruscy with a touch of wood. It was one of my BFF’s signature fragrance, too. She does smell good with it and we used to wear it during the wintertime to keep us happy 😀 Ah, this brings back sweet college memory and I’m glad they have a set for it now. Yay!

I haven’t tried any Clinique fragrances before. This little set looks cute, and it’s a great way to try out the various scents before committing to a large bottle.

I am a sucker for anything small and cute. I have never tried these fragrances. I am a loyal Givenchy Very Irresistible and have been using it ever since high school.

I have this set and I love it! The bottles are glass like the normal sized bottle and the sprayer is so much more convient than having to pour the perfum in you hand, like most mini soze fragrances. Loves Clinique did a great job!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
