The new $42 It Cosmetics Superhero Palette should just put on a cape and soar across the sky already.
Like the next summer superhero movie…it’s coming soon! — to the It Cosmetics website (August) and Ulta (September), and its superhero power is allegedly that it has the ability to help lids look as though they’ve turned back time.

In addition to the nine incredibly smooth powder eyeshadows in the main row, which are divided among Nudes, Neutrals and Liners, the palette also has three larger Eye Foundation shades, which are good base colors for your entire eyelid.
I think my lids look really smooth with these shadows, and the formula is also supposed to help lids long term, thanks to anti-aging collagen, silk, peptides and antioxidants.

If you don’t like it when your shadows settle into your fine lines, these powder eyeshadows are totes on point. They’re soft, super buttery and look uber-smooth on lids.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
The shadows look really pretty and smooth but I am used to a little bit more pigmentation.
Btw, this palette is already available at ulta.com if anyone is interested!

Thanks for the heads up, Agata!
Love the nudes, and the eye foundations
Hey Icequeen,
How are you and the baby doing? Good, I hope!
Hi Karen,
how are you and Connor?
I am fine, the baby is doing fine , still waiting for his arrive.
We’re doing well. Connor’s going through a growth spurt so she has her “high needs” days but today she’s in a good mood so she’s happy and talkative.
Can’t wait for you to have your little one! 🙂
Is so cute when they are happy, so happy for you.
Thank you I cant wait to meet my baby.
You’re going to do great. Do you have your hospital bag packed and ready?
Yes, I do , weeks ago.
This looks like a perfect one stop shop! I love the look you’ve done, Karen – really lovely!

Thanks, Becky!
I like the idea of keeping lids looking young but the finish on all of these seems just a tad too frosty for me. 🙂 Of course, they’re lovely on you!
Hey Kim,
I was worried about the frost at first, too, but once I got the shadows on my lids it wasn’t too crazy. For some reason the shine mellows out the end result is lovely.
I think you’re able to pull off a wide range of finishes – that’s YOUR superpower. HAHA!
PS Have you checked out Stranger Things on netflix yet? I couldn’t stop watching last night. 🙂 I think you’d like it. One of my boys kept telling me I had to watch and he was right. I think it has pretty general appeal (age wise). Though he got the raised eyebrow for language. 🙂
You’re skin looks so good and glowy in these pics!
Thanks, Rachel! I think it’s because of the foundation. I’m wearing the new stick foundation by Hourglass; it’s great!
I’ve read the palette is made in China, so it appears to be overpriced for what it is.
It’s indeed made in China, but I think the quality is still there. Give it a try, you never know if you’ll like it.
Happy Friday!
The shadows look nice, but superhero? I would have expected crazy pigmentation and more color, to be honest.

I think it’s supposed to be a superhero in that it helps lids look smoother, which it does. 🙂
Lovely palette it is, especially for travelling. Very convenient ?
