The Bronze of Champions Kit

  • New from Benefit, this $32 kit dresses up eyes, lips and cheeks in sunny shades of bronze.
  • The kit includes sample sizes of Longwear Powder Eyeshadow in Thanks a Latte, Creaseless Cream Shadow in Bikini-Tini, Hoola Bronzing Powder, Watt’s Up Soft Focus Highlighter, They’re Real Mascara and Ultra Plush Lip Gloss in Hoola.
  • Thumbs up for Hoola! — both the eyeshadows and the gloss. Love, love and love! love
  • They’re Real Mascara and Watt’s Up are pieces I’d use in a pinch, as opposed to regularly. Among similar products, Becca Shimmering Skin Perfector in Moonstone and Chanel Le Volume Mascara seem to work a little better for me.
  • The shades in this kit should be neutral enough for warm- and cool-toned gals/guys with pale or medium skin tones, but darker damsels may crave deeper colors.

With this well-priced kit — a boon to babes with pale or medium skin tones — Benefit gives us yet another fun way to sample some of their sun-kissed shades.

PRICE: $32
AVAILABILITY: Coming next month (from mid to late December) exclusively to Sephora stores and sephora.com
MAKEUP AND BEAUTY BLOG RATING: B+

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. Sometimes after a long week, nothing beats 30 Rock reruns, veggie pasta and a glass of white wine. Am I right?

Nighty night. 🙂

Ah!!! You have GOT to stop showing me things I want! 😀
They’re real mascara is perfect for me. I have very long, medium thickness eye lashes, and it coats them perfectly and doesn’t clump or smudge. I have constant problems with mascaras that smudge b/c my eye lashes reach up to almost my eye brows, so if it smudges it creates a lot of problems. And the plush lip glosses are amazing-non sticky, nice sheer color, more balmy than shiny. I’ve been wanting to try the Hoola collection, since I’m fair to medium, so this will be awesome.

I like how cute it is, and how it would make a nice gift for a similarly makeup obsessed friend!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
