A New Shocking Development: Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Shock Me Pink

Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick in Shock Me Pink, $20

Because a girl can never have too many hot pink lipsticks!

Well, she probably could, but…naw. I don’t think so. 🙂

This is another one of the new shades recently added to the Smashbox Be Legendary Lipstick line. Shock Me Pink is a bright blue-based neon pink with a creamy finish. Like the other Be Legendaries, it’s unflavored, unscented and smooove, with a 4-hour wear time.

I like to wear this one with shiny black liquid liner when I’m feeling feisty and want to stomp-walk into rooms.

It’s available now online and at Smashbox counters, Nordstrom stores and Ulta for $20.

In other news, Pasta Pomodoro. Do you ever go there? What’s your go-to dish? El Hub and I went tonight and just got back. I’m not exactly bummed out, but I wish I’d ordered my regular go-to dish, which is usually pasta tres colores. It’s got like spaghetti in it, veggies, and I get shrimp on top, but this time I decided to try something different (I think it was the Sicilian pasta), and it wasn’t all that.

Whatever… It was edible, and I didn’t have to cook it, so yay for that! 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Ugh! Just woke up and it shows!! For a minute there I read that you liked to pair this lipstick with black liner on your lips. And I was really puzzled as to how you could pull it off. Then the duh! moment arrived of course.

I also like to pair this kinds of hot pinks with navy blue liner 😉

This shade is a tiny bit too barbie pink for me. I have been loving Hollywood Cerise lately instead.

And yay for going out, not having to cook and not having to do the dishes as well! Personally, I always try to find something in the menu that I’ve never had before.

That’s pretty. I’m not much of a lipstick girl- I do wear it but since I normally do a lot of color in my eyes I keep my lips toned down. So my lips are either neutral or I just use gloss.
I have one pink lipstick, I think… hmmm maybe I’ll wear it this season.

Though shocking pink lippies are not my thing, I’ll bet you look stomp-a-rific, especially paired with the black liner. 🙂

I’ve never been to Pasta Pomodoro but I’m incredibly particular about my red sauce so I often get a cream sauce or pesto when eating out. Which is why I don’t often eat at Italian restaurants, even though I love pasta. 🙂

Smashbox makes one of my favorite pinks ever so I’m going to have to check this one out. I may have already tried it on, I can’t remember. #middleage

I rarely eat pasta out because once you’ve lived in Europe for a while standard American pasta is icky.

God, now I’m craving Farro salad.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
