February 22nd, 2010 by Karen 10 Comments

Rise and shine, morning glories. 🙂 It’s Monday, no matter how much I wish it weren’t (le sigh!). What we need is a miracle to skip Mondays entirely, maybe one like Philosophy’s Miracle Worker Miraculous Anti-Aging Moisturizer (I mentioned it last month). With any purchase of it, Philosophy’s throwing in free deluxe samples of their new Eye Hope Cream. Here’s a sponsored post with deets on the offer. – Karen

Good mornin’ Nina! You’ve been up with the chickens, I see. 🙂 If you’re new to Philosophy you’ve gotta try the Purity Made Simple face wash. It removes makeup and cleanses skin gently, but thoroughly. How’s your day going so far?

My day is surprisingly good …. got a lot of stuff cleared out of the way during the quiet early morning hours.

Im now enjoying a cup of tea before I tackle the rest!

        Hows your day going?

PS – I actually have a sample size of Purity Made Simple in my sample stash — I believe ill break that out later when I get home and give it a try. I love my Biore but I think my skin needs a break from it….

Nice! I like starting early sometimes — that way you can get what needs to get done without any interruption, and your day begins with a good start. What tea are you drinking, by the way? I’ve been all about green tea with honey as of late.

My day has been good so far, thanks for asking! I woke up early to get some stuff done, too. I’m hoping to meet all my writing deadlines by 3… we’ll see (*crosses fingers*).

I hope you like Purity Made Simple (aka PMS, ha ha). It’s fantastic at removing makeup and cleans without stripping. It doesn’t have foam, which can take some adjustment, and it smells kinda herbal..

How are you doing with your deadlines? Most of mine are done but there are a few stubborn stragglers that remain to be … deadlines!!!

            LOL @ PMS 😛

I was a little late… like 45 minutes. But I did it!! I have about two hours of stuff left to do and then I get to run five miles, LOL! Sounds like a pain but I’m looking forward to it.

Are you home from work now?

Do you think miracle worker miraculous anti-aging moisturize is good for oily skin? i love their serum products but i found hope in the jar is too greasy for my oily face.

First of all I am in my early 30’s and I haven’t much experience in anti-aging creams. I just more recently took an interest in moisturizers and eye creams after I decided to quit tanning and rather preserve my youthfulness.

I use “Visage Complexion Moisturizer” by Shielo, which I found in my salon in NYC (but its cheaper at shielo.com). I use in the morning before I put on my makeup, and then I use this at night. My skin always feels so soft, more soft than I think it ever did. I can’t give any testaments on its firming or anti-wrinkle ability, but I can say it does make my skin glow and my complexion look healthier.

It has a good price compared to everything else on the market and I believe it is best to start moisturizing when you are young rather than waiting until the signs of aging have already begun. Prevention is key!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
