A very cool musical piece created with a bonsai tree

Not exactly sure what’s going on here, but it’s hella funny

My favorite G-Stef vid; btw, have you entered the MBB Gwen Stefani Makeup Challenge?

Enjoy the rest of your day!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. I had such a great time watching How To Train Your Dragon last night. Just an adorable, touching movie for kids and grownups alike (I even got a little teary).

I’ve always felt like Dreamworks played second fiddle to Pixar in the animated movie department, but this film changes that for me. Shrek (the first one) wasn’t just a fluke. They’ve got game. If you wind up seeing it this weekend, let me know what you thought.

Hey! A bit random but I’d love to know your opinions! I’m thinking of doing my 1st Mac haul soon! I’m thinking of buying:
    – Nude lipstick.. something like creme d’nude or freckletone
    – Blush (thinking of Pinch O’ Peach)
    – Fluidline Blacktrack
    – Rubenesque paint pot

Let me know if you have any other recommendations or if these are good choices! Thanks! 😀

All of these are great items.

A few more you might want to think about:

High Tea lipstick (a fantastic shimmery pinkish beige nude, looks good with MAC Clear Lipglass on top)
Nyphette Lipglass (my fave MAC nude gloss; see swatch/review here)
Viva Glam V Lipstick (a shimmery neutral pink)
Technakohls in Graphblack and Brownborder (fantastic for the waterline; see review here)
      Cream Color Base in Pearl
      Arena Eyeshadow (see review here)
Cream Color Base in Pearl (review)
Prep + Prime Loose Powder — this photographs beautifully; I use this in my FOTDs! See review here.
Also, check out this post featuring MAC Must-Haves.

      Hope this helps!

I wanna see that movie! The dragon is cute and I just wanna huggle it (even though it’d probably eat me, but hey that’s what I’m seeing the movie for, right? So I can tame it?).

    That LORAC deal is tempting…

We just got back from lunch at a Malaysian Place and grocery shopping – were making Mediterranean Lamb Shank for dinner later …

I have laundry to fold but that can wait! I must check out that LORAC deal – I like LORAC A LOT!!!

It’s really good. Totally worth the full price of a movie ticket!

Malaysian food sounds delish… I’ve never had it before, but I’m intrigued.

We just got back from a late lunch/early dinner. Also went for a short hike in too! 🙂

Whatcha up to tonight? I think we’re just going to chill at home.

Malaysian food is salty/sweet/spicy which, to me is the perfect combination!

We stayed home last night — watched Law and Order SVU (one of my guilty pleasures!!!) and read.

We also made Lamb Shank for dinner – omnomnomnom!!!

The Chanel nail polishes look so pretty regardless! I am totally feeling the turquoise color! FYI – “Cool” is my favorite Gwen video too! Any idea when the Summer collection is coming out?

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
