Girl – love me some P&J. Some of their glosses are on sale on Beauty Habit.com – I’m finally going to order more P&J product. It’s LOVE!

I want to test out those Two Faced glosses – they sound lovely!

FYI – did you know that there’s a new Dior tinted moisturizer?? I just grabbed a sample at Sephora today. I’m hoping it offers good coverage and even though it’s only offered in 3 shades – the #2 which is good for medium complexions is a nice color on me! And I had the hardest time trying to find a suitable LM tinted moisturizer. I think this may only be at Sephora??

Yeah, I did. I’ve got a few TM’s to test so I haven’t gotten around to trying it. I loooove the Hydraction one so hopefully this one will be just as good! Let me know what you think of it once you take it for a spin.

Im sitting here trying not to be tempted …. the Hubs and I are going to go buy some dutch ovens @ Le Creuset this coming weekend and ive earmarked my play money this week for that. Plus – theres a CCO in that outlet mall too ….

Maybe if I “just look” ill be okay …. 😀

Oh, lovely! I’ve always like the look of Le Creuset but have never taken the plunge because the pans are so pricey. Do you think they make a noticeable difference in the taste/quality of the final food product?

I have a Martha Stewart version from Macy’s – that does the trick. I believe Giada de Laurentis has her own line at Target too. I don’t know if Le Creuset makes a real difference but it would be nice to own. Yeah right now my wallet can only afford the lower priced dutch ovens!

I told the Hubs that there are versions out there that are in the mid range of prices. But he says we might as well get the real thing … hes paying for most of it, I believe.

Plus – he would much rather shop at an outlet mall (roomy, outdoorsy, theres space to sit outside etc etc) than go to a mall or even Target. He hates those places (and I love Target a LOT!!!)…..

Im a HUGE fan of one pot cooking …. thats why ive always wanted a dutch oven. I also am the designated dishwasher at home so one pot means will work to my advantage.

I dont own one yet but ive seen my friend make a stew in one, and make a cobbler in another. I was awed. I dont think it affects the taste per se but I did notice that there is no “metal” aftertaste in the food she made.

Plus they colors are so prettyyy!!!

I want the green and the yellow pots. Maybe a big and 2 mid sized. 🙂 They also have red and blue …

Theres another brand (whose name escapes me at the moment) – and theyve got gunmetal. That brand is a little pricier than the Le Creuset.

Me too! I have made a leek/potato soup and a chicken and brown rice meal. I have yet to make a cobbler in mine.

My cobbler recipe is pretty easy – fresh berries (or peaches) tossed in some sugar and splenda at the bottom of a pan. Then I mix up flour, sugar, milk and 2 eggs and pour it on top. Sometimes ill make up a crumble when im feeling particularly industrious.

Ive a feeling my easy cobbler will work on the cast iron pot!!!

Definitely will have to try Lip Insurance once I run out of MAC’s Lip Prep + Prime! I wonder if it will be too drying.

I’d like to check out that Urban Decay palette but I’m a little wary of the shadows mixing in with the glosses. Besides they’re having a Nars artist come in my local sephora and I’m sure my budget will be toast afterwards…

That Shu Uemura Gem Glam Collection looks so enticing and fun. It just makes it more disappointing that the makeup line is being phased out of the U.S. I read on The Beauty Girl that we’ll still be able to buy everything online (http://thebeautygirl.com/?p=3210), but isn’t going to the makeup counter to see everything up close and try before you buy part of the fun? Bummer.

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a.
