Love the upgrade….did you have to press that “button”??…..LOL!

    Seriously, saw New Moon yesterday…..more “young-ins” than I expected….there were mom’s bringing their 7 & 8 year olds…..REALLY?!?

Best scene……Bella crashing the bike and Jacob taking of that shirt!…..OMG!!! HOT would not even DESCRIBE it!!

I’m happily-married and my heart skipped a flutter!!! (And I’m blushin’, just typing about it…….)

          Hi DonnaN,

Too funny! Yeah, I brought poor El Hub against his will.

What did you think of all the cutoff jean shorts action? I wish they gave the wolves something cooler to wear, like breakaway pants.

Yeah, I wasn’t totally lovin’ that fashion statement. Maybe some camo or something?

The whole Victoria sequence…..eeh….had heard that alot of her filmed stuff was left out, as the actress who played her will be replaced in ECLIPSE by Bryce Dallas Howard (M.Night Sham’s go-to-gal & Ron Howard’s daughter)….

Also, I couldn’t help but stare at the bad wig used by Nikki Reed this go round….heard she didn’t want to go through the agony of the white dye job again. Shame, cause the wig wasn’t that good…

Very impressed with the special effects for the “pack”……also the effect on Emily’s face….scary!!

            Hi DonnaN,

Camo would’ve been better… or maybe cargo shorts? Anything but the cutoff jeans!!!

I was wondering why the heck the director left the Victoria storyline dangling. Weird how they are replacing her in the third movie… I wonder what happened? I bet there’s some drama behind that story!

          • amy says

            November 22nd, 2009 at 9:03 pm

I don’t want to give too much away, but the Victoria story line will be resolved in the 3rd movie. The story behind replacing the original Victoria is that the original actress is filming a movie in Europe at the same production time as Eclipse(3rd movie). Twilight’s product company feels that she is not committed to the Twilight saga, hence hiring her and replacing her, even though the actress claims the schedule would not with Eclipse’s schedule.

I really liked New Moon. I even got teary eyed during the break up scene. I also liked how they dealt with Bella’s depression with the months going by. And Taylor was a hottie but I am still Team Edward.

    Great improvements!!!

About New Moon, my whole theater laughed like crazy on this movie. I guess that’s a complete opposite from all the screaming but this was amazing! Things ‘ woman, you are not the first one to get dumped’ were heard. Everybody kept talking and commenting out loud every scene (and that’s very unusual here!), and laughing every time Edward came on the screen…The TL scenes were very well received though, 😉 I have to say, it was one of the best nights in theaters I’ve had in a while, but then again, I’m really not into the saga.

      Hi Sonja,

I cracked up in a few places — 1.) when Dakota Fanning showed up on the screen (her red eyes were just too much) and 2.) when they first showed Edward… in SLOW MO. LOLOL!

I loved the Dakota moments the best, but the eyes were a wee bit too much.
But every sentence EC says was just ridiculous to me. If only he could just be silent and look pretty…
But TL taking his shirt off was such a memorable scene, I remember a girl next to me screaming ‘Rewind, rewind!!’..

New Moon’s definitely on my list of things to see, but I’m waiting for the craze to die down so I don’t have to deal with noisy tweens throughout the show ^^ I’d like to be able to snicker at the way-too-over-the-top moments in peace 😛

I did 🙂 and it was delivered just before he end of the week (and we left to come north for Thanksgiving). I got several of the liquid liners (Roach, Oil Slick, Revolver (which looks like a taupe on me, strangely), and Radium. I am SO much better at putting on the liquid liner now! I like Oil Slick, because it’s a soft black; the Maybelline one I’ve been using is super black and a little harsh on my super pale yellow based skin. I also got 24/7s in Yeyo (which pulls silver on my skin, but only slightly), Underground (GORGEOUS), Baked, Rockstar, and the Covet/glitter liner set. Love love love all of it 🙂

        How about you?

Just a glitter liner or two or five (LOL!).

OH! So lately I’ve been really loving on the 24/7 in Bourbon. It’s a brown with tiny flecks of gold glitter. Do you have it? It’s so pretty layered beneath so many different shades of shadow.

I have a full sized Bourbon, as well as two minis. Totally love that color 🙂 I’ve been using it on the outer portion of my eye with Underground on the inner portion. I also have been loving UDPP in Sin, Bourbon smudged over my lid, and then relined with Bourbon. Sometimes I line a tiny bit of liquid liner into my lashes to make them look thicker. Have you tried doing that with Bourbon?

YES!!!! Commenting within the comment! Finally!!!

Everything is so well organized now. No more clicking the “older post” button five million times. :watching the heavens opening with angel chorus: Yay!!!

Nope, I still won’t see the movies. I haven’t even seen the first. I’ve seen clips and my appreciation of films-to-movies went down a few notches. There are some stunning adaptions of books turned into films (Chris Weitz’s Golden Compass, Francis Ford Coppola’s The Outsiders, Hayao Miyazaki’s Howl’s Moving Castle, the Harry Potter series, The Devil Wears Prada, Confessions of a Shopaholic, Holes, Miss Pettigrew Lives for a Day) and there are some that should have NEVER been made into a movie (The Tale of Desperaux :shudder: and what I’ve seen of Twilight). The books are pretty cheesy but I admit, they’re a guilty pleasure (every one except the last one, I seriously considered burning the last one it was that bad). I’ll keep my mental images of Jacob and the Cullens, thank you.

Zena is….being Zena. In other words, sleeping eighty percent of the day, then being positively psycho by running around the house burning off Terrier energy. She’s been running around with Mr. Chicken and setting him off by dropping him so he goes, “COCKADOODLEDOOOOOOOOOOO! COCKADOODLEDOOOOOOOOOOO! COCKADOODLEDOOOOOOOO!!!” I’m starting to hate that toy. One can only stay sane for so long whilst that thing goes off. She’s been throwing the toy down the stairs too. It’s rather funny watching her fling the toy down the stairs until it goes off. His wing and tail feathers are a bit ruffled (i.e. chewed) and he’s missing an eyeball but Zena is in love with that toy. You can practically see the big pink hearts floating around the toy.

I’ve also found that trying to type anything coherent while Mr. Chicken goes off is close to impossible. I somehow keep typing the sound of Mr. Chicken. Good thing I’ve got nothing due until December! I’m just being proactive for a change. It’s funny that I only become proactive about my essays when I’ve developed essay-hatred. I cannot wait until holiday vacation. 🙂

Some people chicken wire an area (like a balcony or the area of a garden) so they’re indoor/outdoor cats can still go outside but can’t escape. I don’t know if you’re condo allows you to chicken wire an entire area, but that’s an idea if you’re allowed it for Tabs. It’s not aesthetically pleasing though.

Isn’t it funny how pets get obsessed with certain toys? Maybe she’ll accidentally break it so it’ll stop making noise (fingers crossed!).

Yeah, I thought about setting up an enclosure for him. Maybe when the weather gets warmer in the spring I’ll do something like that. 🙂

Fat chance. That’s her second Mr. Chicken and the other one only got the boot because there was literally nothing left. I think my dad took the sound box to work to annoy his co-workers when he gets bored because it still worked. She rotates toys so she’ll probably bore of it by tomorrow and move onto another toy like her squeaky squirrel. She bores easily.

It’s funny when she scares my dad awake when she sets it off at night. I’ll be doing my homework, then hear the patented “COCKADOODLEDOOO!!!” three times, and then laugh hysterically as I hear my dad swearing because he forgot to check if the chicken was in the master closet (she hordes her toys in there along with her cage and my room, depending on her mood). We’re talking 1 or 2AM wake-up call. It’s so worth having him cranky the next day for forty minutes of insane laughter because you know that Zena is giving him the “I didn’t do anything. INope, nooooooooot meeeeeeee” look.

Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a.
