Do you swipe on blush? Brush up your brows? I’m curious to hear what you would do if you were totally pressed for time.
I used to know a girl when I was doing theater who’s “quick and dirty” version of 60-second makeup was black liner on her water lines and loads of mascara. Another friend of mine did a swipe of red lipstick — and that was it! (She looked fantastic in it, by the way.)
For me, it’s my lash curler and mascara, and the mascara has BRING IT. I’m talking length, volume, curl, everything. Gimme all the drama, please. (Here’s my current go-to.)
If there’s any extra time in that minute, then I’ll either 1) run a clear brow gel through my brows, or 2) blend cream blush onto my cheeks.
How about you? If you had only 60 seconds to do your makeup, what would you do?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. TGIF!

This is me every morning, haha! I’d do my brow with a slanted pencil, tinted moisturiser, then cream blush + lips with a stain like YSL kiss and blush. Super low maintenance n easy!
Maxine says
60 seconds?
I would brush on tinted brow gel and use my lipstick for both lips and blush. Honestly, I just did this today before a Teams Meeting!
Have a great July 4th! I love reading Karen’s posts and all of the comments. Karen has the kindest and best followers.

Brows with the brush end of UD Brow Blade, Morphe? Baked face powder and a few finger pats of Tower 28 bronzer.
Alternatively a nude lip liner and the brows…

I’ve mastered this thanks to my toddler.
1) Tinted sunscreen moisturizer
2) One sweep of a cream shadow stick blended with a finger
3) Diorshow mascara
4) bronzer
5)Dior lipglow
quick, quick quick!

I’m with Maxine!! Berry lips, a dab on my cheeks and if there’s still time, color my brows!!

I might have to splurge on the LM Caviar mascara–curling lashes with JUST mascara and no lash curler WHUUUUT…???
Coz that would be my 60-second MU: 1) curl lashes; 2) mascara; 3) lip balm. If I could combine steps 1 & 2, then I have time for dab of concealer inner/under eyes!

If I have 60 seconds, mascara, a little eyeliner and some lipstick….and I have been know to take my makeup with me and do it at the destination lol.

TGIF to you!
I would for sure start with lipstick or tinted lip balm. (Unless I have to wear a mask, of course). Then some mascara. And if I had any time left, either blush or tinted brow gel.
And on the topic of lipstick, Sephora has a cute little limited edition set of their lip stains, 3 for $10. Mine came yesterday and I can’t wait to try them out; they come highly recommended by someone whose lipstick I’m always admiring. I’ll let you know how it works out.
Tatiana says
Only 60 seconds? Uh, sunscreen and a lip balm/lipstick. Maybe some blurring/setting powder.
I couldn’t do mascara in 60 seconds if my life depended on it. I’d poke my eye out and there’d be mascara all over my lids and on the bridge of my nose and on my waterline which would then start itching, so I’d rub my eyes and it would be all over the place. Not to mention I spend about 5 minutes combing it out so each and every lash is completely separated. I’m in awe of anyone that can do mascara and line in 60 seconds.
I guess I’m slow.

Concealer on any pesky blemishes, black winged eyeliner, tinted lip balm – done! Can I have a couple more minutes for blush and under-eye concealer though please…?!
Rachel Runyan says
Powder foundation, concealer over red areas, and lip color.
Felis says
Black liner on the waterlines, concealer and lip balm! BOOM. Although the only way this differs from my everyday “coffee run” look is that the usual probably includes filling in my brows and a single-shadow wash buffed over my lids.
Jan says
CC cream, brow pencil and, if there’s time, a light lip color. As I’ve gotten older, my brows are almost gone, so that’s mandatory.
lexi says
Brows, concealer and lip liner/tinted lip balm
Lacy says
Tinted brow gel real quick and a few coats of mascara. This has been my war paint for work the past few months with the mask and I’ve come to learn to love the low maintenance and natural beauty. Some days I even skip mascara and feel put together as long as my brows are done!
Also I’ve mastered this look at red lights on my way to work! Lol
And no I will not admit I have a separate tube of mascara, brow gel & a skinny brow pencil in my car cup holder at the ready for this exact Look…. :-p
Karen says
Ooh, that’s so handy keeping your must-haves in the car cup!
Pamela says
Well, in the days before wearing masks, I was all about the swipe of lipstick, eyeliner, mascara, blush and BB. But now that my mouth and most of my face is covered the emphasis is on my eyes. I like a gold shimmer on the inner eyes, liner and mascara and defined brows.
Nikki Wogoman says
Foundation with a touch more on dark circles and blemishes, mascara, lipstick, and a touch of lipstick as blush.
Danielle says
Tinted moisturizer, concealer, eyeliner, crayon eyeshadow, powder, blush, brow gel, lip gloss
kellly says
Concealer and mascara. If there’s time left after that, lipstick.
Moisturizer goes on when I get out of the shower, so I don’t count that as part of any makeup routine since my pandemic lockdown mode has me not putting on any makeup at all on more days than I do. I’ll put some on if I’m leaving the house later in the day for any reason but most days I’m just staying home anyway. My dogs don’t care if I don’t have makeup on. As long as I feed them and let them in and out 45 times a day, they’re happy.
Karen says
Aren’t dogs great that way? They’re so easy to please. I miss having one!
Funky's Mama says
I’m pale AF (as the kids say), so definitely blush & some kind of lippie, usually a tinted balm or something sheer. If there’s any time remaining on the clock, then a quick coat of curling mascara.
Karen says
Hey Funky’s Mama!
I would love to hear which curling mascaras you love. I always need MOAR (as the kids say, LOL!) on my list.
Carina says
Hi Karen,
I find it very interesting to read all the answers 😉
My everyday Make Up needs never more than a few minutes. And I am known for doing it during the few stops at red lights in the car on my way to work 😉
Concealer for the under eye area if needed, Cream Eyeshadow, Mascara and Lipstick on cheeks and lips – if I have time left I would ad a touch of powder bronzer in the socket of the eyes…
Karen says
Hi Carina,
Me too! Everyone’s answers are definitely inspiring me. Perhaps a series of 60-second looks will be up next!
Carina says
Uh.. yes. That would be a treat 😉
Sierra Allia says
I’m doing mascara and lipgloss and maybe some blush
