Right now out in New York, Fashion Week is in full swing. Here’s a gallery with some of the looks (face charts) MAC’s makeup artists have cooked up for the shows so far.
these are really cool – thanks for pointing them out – though i am no longer in mac lust i can totally play with the looks with similar products / colors – YAY!
so sad i am in nyc and have done or seen anything fashion related in terms of fashion week BOO! i think they are all hiding really good under the tent lol
even sadder is the temptation – i work on 35th street and 7th ave – just minutes from bryant park
ahhh… today is tuesday street fighting class night lets see if my makeup application stands the test of true sweat again tonight lol
sorry i am a little delirious its 10 am here and still working on my first cup of coffee
Me too. It’s weird for me to be thinking of spring colors just as fall in setting in, but it gives us something to look forward to when the weather gets rainy and cold.
well the class i take is called street fighter at crunch fitness
it basically encompasses many different forms of martial arts like brazilian juijitsu, capoeira, shokotan karate, and many other forms all in one class – its set to some crazy loud music so you really get in the groove and can kick some major butt! its rather stress relieving cause i let out all my pent up stress from work and life in general there lol i picture whoever is my enemy of the day in the reflection of the mirrors and i totally throw all my kicks and punches towards my enemy – god i come across violent don’t i!
i promise i am not !
its not at all like regular kickboxing nor tae bo style classes its really very different – i was a capoeirista for two years but i kinda quit too much commitment for my lifestyle – this class totally works for me!
its fun has help me lose weight and makes f’or massively toned arms and legs
some basic gymnastics are involved which even makes it more fun !
i was doing hip hop for a while – but i just couldnt keep up lol popping and locking styles dont work for me lol abt a year ago i went for a class that was called hip hop with my fiancee it turned out to be Krumpin’ let me tell you – i was sooo utterly lost – and here i thought i had rhythm
i say if you can find a crunch fitness that offers it try it! if you click this link on youtube this is the instructor that gives the class in nyc hes really great and these clips dont do the class any justice ! http://www.youtube.com/user/bkhan777
Thanks for sending the vid. I totally want to go to class now! I have been working a ton and sadly my fitness is not as it was a few months ago.
I used to go to Crunch when I lived and worked in SF. It’s a great gym! Your class sounds like something I totally would like. I’m not violent, either, but I find hitting a heavy bag unusually satisfying. 🙂 I used to do kickboxing classes when I was in college and I would totally envision my ex as the bag, LOL. That thing would get pummeled within an inch of it’s life.
I just do general hip hop. My teacher’s style is kinda on the rough side — lots of floor work, and often a crotch grab or two, ha ha ha. I can’t pop and lock for the life of me, either. I am also really terrible at gliding. I can usually fake the rest, though!
I’m definitely about the smokey eye thing going on. Need to brush up on my skills. I *LOVE* the looks I see here. They’re so mysterious and cool.
Hi Karen,
Thanks for posting the look! I’ll definitely have lots of fun playing with them 😀
I’m so happy MAC is posting all the looks they did this year on the net. It’s such a cool idea. Thanks for posting them here 🙂

I love these looks. Nadine Luke is crazy talented, too, so it’s cool to see a look from her.
Hi Shockingpink,
Me too! The smokey eye is always a challenge for me, too, but I think one thing that’s helping me get closer to getting the look is blending!
Hi Dao,
You’re welcome, hon! How are things your way?
Hi Brittany,
Sure thing! I like to see the face charts, too, along with the inspiration behind the look.
Hi YadiQ,
I love your city! I hope to live there for a lil’ bit someday.
SO, I’m totally intrigued by your street fighting class. What is it like?!?!
Hi Tiffany,
I was wondering about that, too. The only thing I can think of is the MAC Pigment that’s named Blonde. Hmmm!
Hi Lydia,
LOL, its definitely an interesting use of color. Dunno if I’d ever rock that eye in public, but the cheks and lips are cute!
Hi Daya,
I like that one too! You know I have a weakness for pink lips!
Hi Glosslizard,
LOL! I know! She cast spells and rocks fierce makeup. It’s all in a day’s work.
Hi Mrs. Lynne!
*waves* How have you been?
Hi Elle,
Me too. It’s weird for me to be thinking of spring colors just as fall in setting in, but it gives us something to look forward to when the weather gets rainy and cold.
but isn’t that blonde’s gold? They listed a redhead one too – maybe it is a new product?! If so they better show us brunettes some love too!
