Can you guess which of these looks was done by a real, live human child? And by “child,” I don’t mean my inner child. ? I mean the other child who also resides at this address. (The two-year-old one.) HAHAHA!
Is it look one, two, three, four or five? I know, it’s quite a mystery…
I was inspired by the visuals for the MAC NICOPANDA collection (which is available meow, BTW). There’s something very “Matisse meets Jem and the Holograms” about it…

It’s cray but I love ❤️ it.

The colors are mostly pastels, mint green, pink and violet interspersed with darker shades like navy blue, gray and a dark plum, which I like because those are colors I wear all the time, although normally with browns.
I get a cool, edgy, artsy-fartsy theatrical performance vibe, like this is makeup that androgynous club kids who are tight with the bouncer and never wait in line might wear.

So, the theme isn’t exactly my gig right now (my scene is Club Toddler in My Living Room), but I’m feenin’ hard for the packaging, because the second-grade me who loved all things Hello Kitty is going bananas ? over the panda heads.
I would’ve traded all of my hologram AND scratch-and-sniff stickers to get hold of one of the lipsticks or glosses, and, funnily enough, those are my favorite things from the collection.
Yeah, the panda head is major, but the glitter glosses and lipsticks I’ve tried (the purple, the dark blue and the burgundy) are all pretty smooth, even with my flaky lip situation.
As for the face products…the glitters in the face kits are a little gritty, but if you mix them with something like Fix+, they’re doable, and the blush with the panda face on it is SUPER light (better for pale skin).

OH, AND THE STICKERS!? Yeah, second-grade me again. She pops out once in a while. 🙂 The stickers are cute. They’re tokidoki-ish and sooo sparkly. You can wear them on your face, stick them on your Trapper Keeper binder, what have you…
The teal-into-black gradient lashes are also cool, but I’ve had a tough time putting them on my lashes. Of course, that may be due to the fact that I’m out of practice.

Overall, it’s a fun little collection! Grab a lipstick ( —> the light purple) or gloss ( —> the white one) if your second-grade you is going bananas like mine is.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. If you guessed look three, winner-winner, chicken-dinner! 🙂

Can’t believe you said “Winner winner – chicken dinner!” I thought that was only UK thing!!
Hey Sarah,
Aww, really? I had no idea that was a UK thing. I’ve heard it a few times here across the pond. 🙂
She is a pro! How many lipsticks were harmed in the process?

Believe it or not all of them survived the artistic process! I kept them low in the tubes and she was cool with it. 🙂
Haha I love Connor Claire’s dual-lipstick technique! As well as the pink eyebrow. SPOT ON. 🙂
This is a super-fun treatment of color – thanks for bringing the idea into the real world for us! Love it. And am totally into the blackened lippie, of course, haha. Might have to try and transition some of these ideas to the stage!
Hi Shannon,
I think the blue/black lipstick and gloss would look super cool on stage (might be distracting, but in the best possible way). Only thing is if you get any on your teeth… RUH ROH!
Good job, Connor! Such attention to detail 😛
Hi Gayle,
She’s got a good eye. The pink eyebrow was all her idea! 🙂
Hope you’re having a great weekend so far!
Haha!

This post made me laugh so hard!! I love how Conner Claire is double fisting the lipstick tubes – she needs to do a 5 minute makeup tutorial for us!
I hope everyone is having a good day so far!
