Product Shout-Out: MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural Powder

December 27th, 2016 by Karen 15 Comments

This is only my favorite MAC powder of all time. No big deal, LOL. I’ve worn it for years, have loved it for years, and I’ll hopefully continue to love it as long as they keep making it.

I don’t like it when powders look powdery, and this doesn’t. It’s better for natural-looking skin than opaque full-coverage makeup, so if that’s what you’re into (the natural look), I think you’ll like it.

In other news, is anybody else craving a salad and a green juice this afternoon?? My body is not-so-subtly telling me that I ate too much junk food over the past few days.

I ate more butter last weekend than I had in the previous six months! — and every bite was glorious.

Well, every bite except for the ones of that Trader Joe’s Pecan Pie in a Jar… That ended up being quite disappointing, for the record. WAY too sweet.

Oh, well. Thankfully, there was a backup pie from Costco, which was bomb! 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I love this so much and whenever I’m at an outlet mall with a cco I pick up a different one, so I have one too light, one perfect, one half a shade dark, and one dark enough to bronze with. Mostly in the old packaging.

For a really fantastic finish I’ll put this on a brush and then hit that brush into an ambient lighting powder from hourglass.

Holy crap…you look amazing in that pic! It’s forcing me to try this powder 🙂 I have very oily skin, do you think it would still jive with me?

I bought it because of you and I love it too however my current favorite powder is Laura Mercier Candleglow Sheer Perfecting Powder. Have you tried it yet?

My body needs more better food too. I have been craving sweets and junk food too!

I used to love it, but bought the Sephora powder foundation two years ago and never looked back. It is just as lovely, but way cheaper.

Sadly, this is not the best powder for me oily skin. I bought this years ago but I had to swap it away because it wasn’t my jam. 🙁

I wear MAC Mineralize Skinfinish Natural too, but my complexion doesn’t look anywhere near as beautiful as yours. Holy gorgeous skin batman!! You are absolutely glowing in these photos.
I feel like having cauliflower and kale salads for a week now. So ready to detox. At least the speculaas are gone now, so there’s no more temptation.

Ugh this is just SUCH a gorgeous powder. I feel like powder is the most important part of a routine for me, it’s the one product that can totally make or break your look!

I think I tried this, and couldn’t find an exact color match for my skin — not an unusual problem for me!

What blush are you wearing in the second picture? That’s the most beautiful soft pink!

I haven’t tried it. I’ve been using Armani forever. I bought his loose and pressed seriously like 10 years ago and I haven’t made a dent in them. Even though I use the loose every time I do my makeup. It’s maybe 1/3 used. It still works great and smells fine so I just keep using it!

Wow, you look great, your skin is supernice, I love the natural glow in that pic.
I have very dry skin and dry little areas in my face, so I use NARS Tinted Moisturizer (which I love) since summer, finished with veeeery little transparent loose powder by By Terry (you need to try it, you’ll love it!).
But I’ll give this MAC powder a try, because I like that it’s mineral and little shimmery.

It really does look soooooooooooo nice on your skin! For me they’re not mattifying enough though. I need something that rrrrrreally soaks up that oil.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
