MAC Haute & Naughty Lash

May 30th, 2010 by Karen 15 Comments

MAC Haute & Naughty Lash

Wow, the tube for the upcoming MAC Haute & Naughty Lash mascara looks so…blingy.

I wonder if the funky cap has anything to do with the 2-in-1 dual wiper system that’s supposed to add definition or volume on demand. Available fall 2010.

What do you think about the packaging?

i think i get it by looking at the pictures. when the cap is still on the top of the tube, the brush has less product and is longer and fluffier. When the purple glittery cap is slid down the tube, more product is put onto the brush, making it more volumizing. Just a theory. Looks interesting.

Huh. That is so weird! If I had read it anywhere else, I’d have assumed it was fake — on a scale of one to crazy, this is prolly about a six.

So, of course, I can’t wait for these to hit shelves 😀

Ooh… is it bad that part of me wants this mascara SOLELY for the packaging? I love me some glitter & bling!

I can actually see how it works (in theory since I obviously haven’t tested it, lol…). It’s the same applicator brush, but with inner and outer wands. For the volumizing portion the mascara comes out as is. Like somebody above mentioned, there’s more product left on to create a more dramatic lash. If you choose definition instead, the applicator brush has to be squeegeed through the outer volumizing wand, scraping off a lot of product. Hmmm…so far I’m not sure I will invest in one of these, probably going to wait for reviews (although the packaging is very cute!).

Wow another MAC mascara on the market. I would like to try this one. Who doesn’t like both volume and lengthening?

I’ll reserve judgment until after we can actually see this in action. Although I love the bling!

The wand is cute, but I’m a bit weary of MAC’s mascaras, unfortunately. /:

This packaging misleads me into thinking these are going to be actual glitter mascaras. not too sure if that would actually be a good idea (i mean probably ugly and definitely painful) but that’s what the packaging makes me think of

Nordstrom has it available on their website and the swatch is just a plain black. So hopefully no glitter! Haha.

Love the packaging! I’m a sucker for pink and purple but I’m gonna have to wait for reviews before I invest in this one, especially since it’s a MAC mascara and those are usually a hit or miss for me.

Ok so I finally decided to spend the dough and try this mascara after the girl at the MAC counter going on and on about it and OMG was she right!!!! I could do without the little wand but the big guy does amazing steriod type things to my lashes. This stuff takes the normal 10 minute process down to like a minute for me, only 1 coat is needed and I was asked if I was wearing fake lashes while at a salon this weekend. A++++++ for me!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
