In the future!
In the future, I predict that MAC will release a different new musically charged piece of makeup every month, starting this month, and they will do it for the next two months after.
Um…I’m not really going out on a limb there, because, uh, yeah. MAC Future Forward. It’s their latest musical collaboration, and it encompasses three LE items (yeah, it’s a small one), a different one of which which will be released in each of the next three months. Each one is a collaboration with a different singer. There’s one for Justine Sky, one for Dua Lipa and one for Lee Hi, and this was the perfect excuse for me to add some new songs to my running playlist, which has been in dire need of new tunes for months.
I mean, I love you, Lisa Lisa, but you can only listen to Head to Toe so many times before it starts driving you nuts.
“U Don’t Know,” Justine Skye
“Be the One,” Dua Lipa
“Breathe,” Lee Hi
American R&B singer Justine Skye did a pastel purple with pink pearl Iridescent Face Powder ($27, coming April 13th to select MAC locations and online Justine Sky Iridescent Powder[/caption]

Today I wore Justine’s powder on my cheeks and Dua’s gloss.
Ooh, sparkly! 🙂

Justine Skye Iridescent Powder ($27)
The Face Powder goes full tilt sparkle! It’s SUPER shimmery, so if you like to shimmer on your walk down to the corner store for a pack of gum, or wherever else your travels take you, you’ll probably have a lot of fun with it. It’s designed for cheeks and your face, but I bet you could also use it on your eyes.
I’m more likely to use it as a lid color, frankly, because I feel like it’s a little too much glitter for my cheeks.
Dua Lipa Cremesheen Glass ($17)
You know how much I love the Cremesheen formula, so I’m all about the way this mightily moisturizing non-sticky gloss feels on my lips, but I really can’t see the supposedly colorful sparkles. It’s basically a straight-up clear gloss.

I think that both of these pieces from MAC Future Forward are pretty (and I LOVE the boxes), but I don’t know if I’d feel a pang in my heart if I missed out on them…
About the future, I do know one thing for certain. There will be a plus-size tabby trying to get up on my chest tonight.

The holographic trend is out of control and I’m loving it!
It’s crazy! Fun but crazy!
So different from what other brands are doing! Again, not me, but can see why these are fun items to have x

Hi Eleni,
Yup, MAC loves to partner with up-and-coming musicians and people in fashion. I think it’s really cool.
Already starting from the packaging, I guessed there were something very sparkly inside those boxes 😀 I think that the Cremesheen Glass is fun to wear but the Iridescent powder is the most intriguing piece here.
