MAC Flighty Product Photos and Swatches

April 21st, 2011 by Karen 48 Comments

Whatever Tabby wants, Tabby gets! That’s right, Tabs threatened to swipe the living crap out my ankles if I didn’t take product pictures and swatch the new MAC Flighty collection, ASAP (damn cat).

He’s especially excited about the new Big Bounce Shadows ($16.50), a line of whipped mousse cream eyeshadows with a fluffy texture and pearly finish that MAC’s adding to their permanent line.

The MAC Flighty collection bounces onto MAC counters May 5 in North America and June internationally.

What say you? Perchance a flight of fancy?

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Karen! Does High Esteem have shimmer/is it metallic or is it just a dark, matte gray? Thanks! <3

Why are they call Big Bounce? That name is just so weird. I can’t wait to see how you use these in a look Karen! And also how they compare to my HG- Benefit’s creaseless creams.

I really like Spread the Wealth! At least, I like the way it looks in the jar. The swatches seem a little underwhelming to me. You should totally do a look with these.

These look super interesting. What’s the texture of the cream shadows like? They look rather dense and, for lack of a less disgusting word, “moist” for being called a mousse shadow.

I know that a lot of people are excited about this collection, but I’m actually more interested in the colored mascaras than the new eye shadows. I’ve already got way too many eye shadows in my collection and I hear that these crease easily and aren’t long-lasting. I hope that’s not true, but they look a little too liquidy in the pot.

I’ve heard from a couple of different blogs and MAC Artists that the Big Bounce shadows are actually Limited Edition. Which, depending on their quality, could be a good or bad thing.

I have to say I am a MAC addict, I’m a huuuge fan of their new stuff….for the most part. I have to say that I have been very disappointed in this last spring release not quite cute, this most recent, and this surf baby……cream shadows for a summer line release, really MAC? I feel these will be an excellent color base, however to use alone, and for greasepot lids like mine, umm..NO!
Their eyeshadows…grey, teal, white, yellow and pink? I was expecting more of a metallic and pastel line, and again I am a little disappointed. I will buy some of the surf baby, just because I always buy a portion of the limited items and hold onto them. I’m a HUGE fan of the theme quads, I eat those up, even if I don’d care for the colors or they are duplicates, I generally stock up on 2 of each theme quads. Well Power to MAC and better luck next product launch!!

Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick.
