Girlfriend, THIS IS TOTALLY A THING. People are getting their scalps injected with Botox to make their scalp perspire less, and therefore help their blowouts last longer.
As someone who used to pride herself on how long she could tolerate going between hair washes — seriously, there was a time in my life when I could gleefully go six days without washing my hair — this may have appealed to me more at one time than it does now.
If nothing else, I would’ve SERIOUSLY considered it, but I don’t think I would have gone through with it because I don’t like needles… They freak me out. Also, knowing me, if I did get a scalp injection, it would probably leave me with a twitchy left eyelid for six months. I would’ve been better off just living with 12 pounds of dry shampoo in my hair, which is what I used to do.
Now, I’m an everyday hair washer… Yeah, I know, but my hair isn’t dyed anymore. I’m transitioning back to my natural color, so I don’t really have to worry about hair color fading, which is one good thing about growing out your grays. I’m also kind of addicted now to that clean scalp feeling. Granted, I don’t shampoo every night. I alternate shampoo every other day with a conditioner wash, which is still more hair washing than I’ve done in years…which just goes to show you: NEVER SAY NEVER.
Anyway, tangent city, HERE WE COME. ?
Now, back to the question at hand… Would you ever get Botox in your head so your blowouts could last longer? Inquiring minds want to know!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
P.S. Happy Good Friday. TGIF.

While I love me some dry shampoo, I am also unapologetically #TeamCleanScalp. Women can be a multitude of things!

Absolutely not they say u shouldn’t wash your hair everyday because u stripping the natural oils from your hair which causes all the problems we have frizz brittle etc. As for the botex no frigging way at the time of my accident 24 yrs ago I have a brain injury called white matter shearing of the brain by the brain stem I had three options have brain surgery with 50/50 chance I would be in wheelchair no thanks second option was having botex injections my dr said I absolutely say a big no to any thing to do with botex and third option I choose was to live with the chronic pain fibromyalgia and all my health issues since. Don’t do it I hate needles too lol.

Nope. If I was going to get Botox it would be to get rid of my wrinkles! I have to wash my hair on the days I do spin (2-3 times a week) so the other days I try not to and just do dry shampoo.

I’m with Rachel! If I got Botox it would be in my face, but I can’t be bothered. Of course, I can’t be bothered to blow out my hair either!

If I botoxed for wrinkles then what the heck maybe. But im with Carol b- fibromyalgia and a fear of needles not a great combo lol I have bangs so dry shampoo and bucket hats are my best friends.

If you told me my hair would be straight rather than super curly well then yes I would do Botox
Lol ?

I’ve never had a blow out, so I guess no. I wash my hair every day because I cannot tolerate a sweaty, itchy scalp. And it drives Dear Husband crazy when I scratch my scalp.
I can’t imagine how much that would cost since you pay for botox by how much you use. And I’m guessing you’d need much more than if you were just having your “11’s” injected.
There’s a part of me that’s curious about botox, but I’m one of these people if something can go wrong it usually does with me, so I’d end up with a permanently droopy face or something.

I’m a super sweaty person, especially when I work out so this is really tempting but owwwww
I’ve been getting away with every other day washing witha pretty thorough routine (especially since I’m doing baths instead of showers for a bit because of the broken foot – I need a shower chair! I do two washes, the dpHue vinegar rinse, and conditioner, and the R+Co dry shampoo mist on off days)but I’m sure once summer hits I’ll be back to every day. I also find dry shampoo irritating to the scalp if I overdo it.

I remember how painful it was to get a Novocain shot into my scalp as a kid so no way. Also, never had a blowout

No, I really have to wash my hair daily. I can’t stand the look or feel of “dirty hair”. My hair is not thick or dry so it looks really bad if it’s not washed and styled. Plus, I use a lot of styling products so the build-up needs to be cleaned. Like others have said, if I was going to do Botox, I’d do it for wrinkles. 🙂
