Two Ways to Win Mission Skincare

November 20th, 2009 by Karen 122 Comments

mission-skincare

Good mornin’ and happy Friday, babes! Looks like we made it. 🙂

This week took a lot out of me, but now I feel great. How ’bout we kick things off with a giveaway?

Mission Skincare’s high-performance beauty products for face and body were created by athletes, for athletes, but you don’t need a wicked serve to appreciate the line.

Co-created by tennis goddess and Glamour mag Woman of the Year Serena Williams, the antioxidant-rich products are paraben-, preservative- and cruelty-free.

The prize

Five lucky ladies will each win three goodies from Mission Skincare by Serena Williams (a $48 value):

  • Active Daily Facial Cleanser ($40): A quick-cleansing foaming face wash (works in 90 seconds flat!) that removes makeup and impurities while nourishing and renewing the skin
  • Pomegranate Lip Balmer SPF 15 ($4): This long-lasting lip balm (in Serena’s favorite flavor) contains cocoa butter to hydrate and broad-spectrum SPF15 to protect; it’s also paraben- and preservative-free
  • Pink Lemonade Lip Balmer SPF 15 ($4): Also paraben- and preservative-free in sweet-smelling pink lemonade

How to enter…

2ways2enterEntering is easy. There are two different ways, and you can do both of them for two chances to win.

First, you can enter by leaving a comment at the bottom of this post. In it, tell me about your plans for the weekend. 🙂

One word: fun! Tonight, I’m heading to a Warriors basketball game (three cheers for hot dogs!), and tomorrow I’ll be in line for New Moon.

Second, enter by following me on Twitter and retweeting (RT) the following message:

My weekend begins on a somber note as I leave work shortly to attend the funeral of a dear, dear friend, Chuck. He will be greatly missed and greatly remembered. Tomorrow I will spend the day with other friends who will mourn his loss with me, albeit in a more relaxed and cheerful way as we sit around and share our memories of a wonderful guy.

Sunday, I’ll be cleaning house, and awaiting to hear if my man “bagged a buck.” Open season of deer hunting always fills me with a mild dread but he and his friends/family are safe hunters, following every mode of precaution in the deep woods.

To all, have a safe and lovely weekend.

My weekend started on a Thursday – waiting in line for the special preview of New Moon for FIVE hours. Today, I’ll be roaming the quieter malls with no theaters so I don’t hear “OMMMMMGGGG EDWARD WAS SOOOOO HOT!”. Saturday, I assume I’ll be sobbing in the theaters watching The Blind Side! Sunday… paint ball birthday party at 11:30 in the morning. Oh what a hectic weekend but it’s so worth it!

Please enter me in the giveaway. This weekend I’m going to be cleaning the house for the holiday. Find all the dishes I need for Thanksgiving dinner. Then relax and watch some videos. Thank you.

I’m glad you have an exciting weekend to look forward to. I’m not into the vampire thing goin on right now but please let me know what you think of the movie. 🙂 As for my weekend, I don’t have any plans because this terrible weather just seems to make me feel sort of “blah” & it gives me a bit of anxiety. I hope to have a somewhat relaxing weekend since next week is Thanksgiving & things around here will be pretty hectic. I haven’t done any Christmas shopping yet & after Turkey Day I’m gonna need to get on the ball! I’m definitely not starting on Black Friday, though.. Ha!

Hope you have a great weekend!*

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
