Rise and shine, morning glory! And give it your all, too, because I sure could use a little help this morning in the rising and shining departments, if you know what I mean. I feel like I had too much coffee and tea yesterday, and now I have a caffeine hangover, or something like that. I’m not sure there is such a thing, but I feel like my brain cells aren’t awake yet. “Sure, you can get up, girl, but we’re sleeping in!”
Please bear with me today if I say something that doesn’t quite make sense, or if I go off on weird tangents.
Well, weirder than usual. 🙂
Oh, speaking of tangents, El Hub and I did go to that movie last night, Super 8. In a word: fascinating! Not so much the movie itself, although I did enjoy it, but just how authentically Steven Spielberg it feels. He produced the film, but J.J. Abrams directed, and in many ways it seems like a tribute to Spielberg’s ’80s movies like E.T. and Raiders of the Lost Ark — sort of a throwback to the Golden Age of movies with the spectator as a wide-eyed child, overwhelmed by sound and spectacle, people frantically running around, and lots of fast camera close-ups on faces during big revealing scenes. I grew up on a steady diet of that stuff, so it was fun and, at times, nostalgic to see another talented director faithfully imitate the style so well.
In the film, a group of middle-school friends circa 1979 are making a low-budget movie of their own, a zombie flick, and low-budget doesn’t do justice to their resources. All they really have is a commitment to making a good picture and their own belongings to use as props. Plus, the town they live in as the backdrop, and it’s while filming one scene that they decide to use a passing train to enhance their movie’s “production value.” Of course, that’s when something BIG happens and the story starts rolling. They find themselves caught in the middle of a catastrophic train crash with secret Air Force cargo, etc. etc. [INSERT ALIEN HERE].
I think the movie itself feels maybe a tad too long in the second half, but I really enjoyed it. Highly recommended, especially if you fondly recall Steven Spielberg’s older movies.
Hmm…
Okay, so I know that none of that had to do with makeup or beauty. See, I warned you about me today. 🙂
While I go try to get my brain cells out of bed, please stick around for a bit. It’s…

Describe the most elaborate/theatrical makeup look you ever wore and what it was for (a big date, Halloween, a play) — you get the idea.

I’m eating breakfast on my porch =)
The Actress whose makeup I really admire and to me it always looks stunning and just right is Aishwariya Rai – Bollywood. She always looks so gorgeous and effortless.
I think Natalie Portman and Anne Hathaway always look stunning. They are classic beauties.

My friends and I like to make really low-budget movies for fun!
I think I’m going to have to go see Super 8!
First movie I ever saw was little mermaid. lol!
Today is going to be a wonderful Saturday 🙂
I’m pretty sure the first movie I saw in the theater was “The Little Mermaid.” I still love that movie.
So glad it’s the weekend! yippee 🙂
It’s the weekend…gloriousness!
I’ve been feeling super lazy this morning too. I barely had energy to do 10 minutes of jumping rope for my exercise, with the tiniest bit of weights after (5 min.). I’ll take what I can get, and call it a day.
I’m not sure of the first movie I went and saw, I feel like it was The Lion King of something 😛
I think the first movie I ever saw in theater was a Bollywood one – “Karan Arjun”, maybe.
YAY Sephora!!

You crack me up! I have to say, I really need to
a) get off my butt and start working out. Mostly because your reviews of sports bras make me feel like a sloth. Perhaps a little less QVC Friday Night Beauty and a bit more Wii? lol
b) gaah I haven’t been to movies in WAY WAY WAY TOO LONG!
I remember seeing the very first Toy Story movie in theaters with my dad!
I’m excited for the bogger collection coming out Tues!
Today I plan to do absolutely nothing but watch dvds of Sex and the City and read magazines. It’s been WAY too long since I’ve done nothing.
I didn’t watch that many movies growing up, but I remember when my mom took me to see Terminator 2 at the theater. Not sure she realized that it was an intense action film when she picked it. She usually gets freaked out by those kinds of films, so I remember having to calm her down during the movie even though I was the kid who probably should have been freaked out!
I seriously want to see Super 8… I’m fairly sure the first movie I saw was something along the lines of The Lion King (or similar)
I know for a FACT that my lil’ sister’s was Babe. After the first 10 minutes, she wouldn’t stop screaming “WHERE’S BABE’S MOM?!!?!?!”
Am headed to the mall later this afternoon. Will definitely be hitting up Sephora.
I’m excited for Super 8!
Hey !! Thanks for doing this awesome giveaway !! The first movie I remember seeing is the First Jurassic Park, only because when the T-Rex came, I screamed so loud and cried that my mom had to take me out of the theater and calm me down. I think that should be a lesson to not take a 5 yr old to go see a dinosaur movie that isn’t in cartoon format.
I’m really excited to watch super 8! It looks really interesting
Definitely excited for my trip to visit my fiance in Kansas. It will also be our son’s first airplane ride! Super nervous! But it’ll be worth it. Just gotta survive the airports!
I’m pretty sure the first movie I saw (in theaters) was Who Framed Roger Rabbit. The next one was The Little Mermaid (which is still one of my favorites!).

The first movie I remember seeing in theatres was… The Lion King, I think? Perhaps Toy Story? I must have been about 6 years old, and went with my dad to the $1 movie theatre (it now seems absurd that I’m paying, like, 150-170% the price for IMAX/3D movies, now, bahaha).
I’m not really sure which movie I first saw in theaters but I do remember going to see “The Little Princess” with my best friend. She’s Indian and we both thought it was so awesome and magical when Sara told stories about India. I think it might a lot to her 🙂
I rememer the matrix being my first rated R movie.
I’m looking forward to going to my best friend’s birthday today! I’m baking cupcakes, filled with vanilla cream frosting and topped with chocolate kind of like hostess. I guess I should probably get started on those.

My friends and I made a short film as a sort of book report on Macbeth in 8th grade. It was a blast!
I was in The King and I and they had everyone do their makeup in this really bizarre way to make the white actors look more “Asian.” I was one of two actual Asians in the production and so I got to do my makeup however I wanted. It was super weird. They had to make their brows black and angular and do weird dramatic unflattering eyeliner. Everyone was required to fake bake and have black hair as well. I was like “Uhh I don’t think that’s what we look like” and the director said “But from the audience, it looks great!” Not so much …
i was very iffy about super 8 because the trailer had a very m. night shyamalan feel to it and we all know he’s butchered his own films for years now… but i actually really enjoyed it!

I soooo glad it’s finally the weekend! Time to relax 😀
Here’s a random comment for you: I helped an 89 year old woman carry bags today. She informs me that she just got out of the hospital, even though they wanted her to stay in there…but assures me that she is not crazy, it was anxiety. She then introduces herself as Dora the Explorer. I cannot make this stuff up lol.
I’d love to be a makeup artist! Unfortunately, I suck at putting makeup on other people.
I totally bought two 50 Reps bras yesterday at lululemon. I couldn’t help it; they were on sale! 🙂
The first movie I ever saw was Titanic, and I saw it in the movie theater. My mom said I loved it and I just remember sitting on my mom’s lap and singing along to all of the songs.
Nom nom!! 🙂
The celeb with the best style for me would have to be Emma Watson. Her style manages to be both edgy and presentable, plus, how adorable does she look with that pixie cut?! Her makeup is always flattering and never overdone.
I’m watching my favorite 80s movie right now, “Just One of the Guys”!
eh not really dying to see super 8

I remember seeing ET in the movie theater in my town — my mom let my sister and me go alone and we felt so grown up. Great memories!!

Going to a graduation party for a great guy who was born at 3lb 2oz. Has been so much fun to watch him grow up.
I’m sure I saw other movies before this one but I vividly remember seeing Jaws and being scared to pieces. My brother and his friend were sitting behind me and my BFF and they kicked the backs of our seats at a crucial moment and we screamed our heads off. Brats! I still am paranoid about going into the ocean and that was a million years ago.
I helped my friends make a movie for Spanish class and it’s currently on YouTube. Embarrassing is an understatement.

As for my “any comment”…
I’m active in a local theater ensemble, and one of my favorite shows to be in was “Cabaret.” I was a Kit Kat Girl and did a lot of dancing/singing. We were dressed in sexy/skimpy lingerie for the show (which was interesting for dancing in) and our makeup was very vixen-ish with dark eyes, red lips, heavy black liner. It was my favorite makeup that I’ve done for theater to date. However, wearing cake makeup for the stage is NOT gentle on sensitive skin – I had to take a hiatus from makeup for a few days to give my skin a break. But it was worth it.
Need to hit the books ASAP! But not before getting my daily dose of MBB 🙂
I painted my toe nails a pretty glitter hot pink. 🙂
i really want to see “super8”, thanks for the review.
I think Megan fox has the best makeup! And watched Super 8 movie yesterday, pretty good. The kids were funny!
Ooooh. During my internship for my first year undergraduate studies I volunteered to scriptwrite and create a short film for a master’s student’s project (Who’s a financial advisor), along with the other interns, at request of our supervisor. There was a professional filming/production company assisting us, and although the storyline/script didn’t go as I wrote it (Due to the lack of co-operation and experience from the actors/actresses involved), I’m pretty pleased with how it turned out, and I definitely learnt a lot about filming! It’s definitely not easy.

Hi Karen,
The first movie I remember everseeing at the theater, was Walt Disney’s “The Jungle Book”! My mother took me to see it, growing up in Texas. It is still my favorite Disney cartoon movie! 🙂 My favorite movie to date is “Fast Five” with my two favorite men in it!!! That movie was the business! Have you seen it? I love wearing makeup but have never wore anything way out there. One day I want to go to a True Masquerade party, you know like the ones they had in the real old days, in London. I think that would be totally awesome, just like winning this would be.
I was wondering, do you announce the winner or just notify them via e-mail or both?
Thank you for sharing,
Vicki

I was almost in a movie. A friend who worked for a camera shop in the mall was making a movie. I don’t remember what the title was or what it was completely about. It was many years ago. I was to play some sort of native woman whose costume kept getting skimpier. In the end I am my girlfriends decided not to be in the movie. I wasn’t showing all my assets. Thanks.

I’m excited for Super 8…but I think I may have ruined it by reading about it on Wiki 🙂
So I was the Wicked Witch of the West for a play and I didn’t get to pain my face green… but I still needed to be frightening! So I used a light base to make myself very pale. Then, I started the eyes with light green under my eyebrows and dark dreen on my lids. Camo green went in my creases, then a loose black pigment to the corners of my eyes– blending that outward and over the greens created a dark, scary eye with magical green. Some the the green and black I blended under my eyes, giving me deep-set, scary eyes. Thick black eye liner and black lashes completed the look while dark purple lip gloss tipped me from hooker to evil witch. One of the crew girls turned around to ask me a question and shrieked!

Okay, so random comment huh?? I have three cats: Sophie, Logan, and Toby. Sophie is a sweetheart. She’ll wake you up by purring all over your head in the morning. Logan is a hyperactive, stereotypical boy-cat. He’ll run throughout the house, bouncing over everything (you included) and end the night by cuddling up next to you and purring up a storm. Toby is the odd one in the bunch. He eats for comfort and is frightened easily. He’s constantly getting into the randomest places and he has the loudest meow you’ll ever hear. Well, except for Logan! I love my cats!

I’m excited about Super 8 because of J.J. Abrams. I’m a huge LOST fan 🙂
Wanna watch a movie! I’m going with my boyfriend on this coming monday!
The first film I saw was age 4 – Disney’s Cinderella – and I cried my eyes out. Next was Bambi (cried again) and so on through the years even including The Sound of Music. I cry at anything really!
SO excited for this giveaway! Just discovered your blog today and I haven’t stopped reading for hours!

The first movie I remember watching is The Land Before Time when I got it for my 7th birthday, and my friends and I sobbed hysterically. I still cry every single time I watch it.
Just saw Super 8 this afternoon. Once I started comparing it to ET in my head, I couldn’t stop. But the FIRST movie I remember seeing was Goonies at the drive-in in my parents “wood” panelled station wagon. I probably had neon shorts and a headband on, too.

I love Sephora but my budget cannot take my love of makeup.
Yay sephora!
In high school, my brother had to film a video as his final project for Spanish class. The goal was to show what he had learned that year. We filmed what turned out to be a semi-racist, stereotypical movie about construction workers eating at Taco Mundo. I think the only actual spanish words in it were taco, mundo, cerveza, bien and gracias… but it was HILLARIOUS! It’s been 8 years, and their teacher still plays it every year for her classes!
The sun is out! YAY!
I saw Super 8 last week and I liked it as well. And you’re right, it does have the classic Spielberg feel. Last night I went with the hubs to see Green Lantern. He’s a comic book nerd, and well, I’m a good wife like that 😀
“Make-up Games” by Topolino got me into makeup when I was in high school. I never wore anything that intense, though!
I turn 30 next week!
The first movie I can remember going to see was “The Long Hot Summer” with Paul Newman and Joann Woodward. It was at a drive in theater with my parents and I was a child. I just googled it and the movie was from 1958, which would have made me 3 years old!
I helped my friends to film a low budget movie adaptation of the All American Girl book by Meg Cabot
yay giveaway~
Either Star Wars III or ET was the first movie I saw.
Super 8 looks like it would be cool to see!
X-Men: First Class is a pretty good movie
I must see that movie!
I would love to do movie makeup!! Or music videos, red carpets… the possibilities are endless!!

Lazy Saturday!
I think E.T. was the first movie I saw in the theatre. I was probably around 7 or so. I remember my mom sobbing during the movie…
I was on a jury for the past 2 weeks and am now procrastinating catching up on work. About to clean the bathroom next.
i just cant wait for harry potter!!!!!
So glad we are finally having some great weather in the bay bay!
i remember one of my first movies was a fantasy type. like “the labyrinth” or something… had humans, was set in a fantasy land.
i remember CRYING cuz i got scared!! hahaha and then a sweet boy (it was a field trip for a summer day camp) told me later “if you had sat next to me, you wouldn’t have been scared”. HOW SWEET!! and we were like, 7 hahaha
I better win this one!
The first movie I saw was Bamby and I cried my life away when his mama died, my mom had to get me out of there cuz I was scaring the other kids! haha!
I got invited to a pre-screening for Super 8, and I’m so glad I did because I wasn’t sure I would have seen it otherwise. It turned out to be a great film. Wasn’t Elle Fanning amazing in it?!
^^; I went to watch X-MEN: First Class instead of Super 8.
I just caught up on the pretty little liars premiere and was thinking how great everyone’s make up looks…especially lucy hale!!
I saw Super 8 with some friends, we didn’t really enjoy it unfortunately…it was just E.T. recycled…with more special effects and a bigger alien? We really liked X-men: First Class though!!
E.T. was my first movie too..
i just watched the first three x-men movies with my friend

My classmates somehow scammed our 12th grade English teacher into letting our final project be movie adaptations of the books we’d read. We mashed up TLC’s A Dating Story (is that still around?) with Pride & Prejudice. Unfortunately, several of our male friend actors couldn’t make the day of the shoot, so I played a narrator part that had been written specifically for a flamboyant guy friend of ours. I stuffed my hair under a cowboy hat and put on a Jersey accent.
i need to buyyy somethingggg
I just watched an old 60s movie, Valley of the Dolls. While the movie itself was pretty bad, the make-up was incredible! (By Ben Nye)
I always loved playing with makeup, but most of the time I just put on eyeshadow and lipstick on my BFFs when I was young.. nothing fancy. But I had taken some drama classes in high school and done a LITTLE bit of theater makeup on myself, with some basic principles.
When I got to college, someone in my freshman dorm (a guy) wanted to go as Mephistopheles from “Cats” for Halloween. He asked me if I knew how to do that (theater makeup). I said sure, get me a photo (fake it till you make it!!). I copied the pattern with black and white greasepaint, some pencils and powder and it only took me about a half hour. He WON the costume contest at the party he went to. WOO HOO!!

For Halloween a few years ago my boyfriend went as a zombie. I had to work (boo!) but I did all his makeup – I was pretty proud of the bloody, bruised mess I created. I dropped him off at a friend’s party and let him find his own way home. Apparently when he was getting a cab at the end of the night it took a little work to convince the driver he didn’t actually need to go to hospital :p
Hey, Karen!! Super 8 was filmed in town 5 minutes away from me… my father’s hometown, actually. Everybody around here is pumped for the movie. Its pretty cool to pick out parts of town that you recognize in the film… Have a good weekend!

Haven’t been to the movie for a while now
My favorite movie is Slapshot.
You know…I can’t remember the first movie I saw. But I can tell you the one I just watched. 🙂 Despicable me. “Oh, no that book was destroyed accidentally….maliciously.”
I remember my parents taking me to see a care bears movie when I was 4. I don’t remember the movie, but I remember walking into the theater for the first time
The first movie I remember watching was Aladdin. I recall watching Mission Impossible over and over and over again when I was a little girl.
The last movie I saw was Thor. I’m really excited about Green Lantern and Captain America too.
I’m watching a movie!
I think Jennifer Lopez has the best makeup except for her eyebrows they lately seem too dark and thick

My greatest makeup inspiration has always been the ladies of old hindi films. I hope to one day perfect the eye makeup of Sharmila Tagore or pull of Zeenat Aman’s glowy-skin-with-heavily-kajaled-eyes look.
I saw “Super 8” last week on my 36th birthday with my husband and two daughters! I loved it! It felt really real to me, the little goofy blonde kid that was always the zombie that got killed was my favorite! We watched “Mr. Popper’s Penguins” yesterday, two movies in one week, that’s a lot for us! It’s hard to find movies that are for kids, and yet have enough to interest adults!
I remember going to see the Little Mermaid with my mom when I was a little girl. I can’t remember if its the first movie I saw, but it was the most memorable.

The first movie I remeber seeing in the theater was Disney’s Fox and the Hound! Sooo cute!
The most elaborate makeup I ever wore was for a play I was in when I was about…. I don’t even remember, like 12 or so. The King & I. I was one of the little princesses. Keep in mind that I grew up in a small city in West Texas, so there weren’t a lot of southeast Asian actors around for the roles. Those of us who lacked proper facial structure had to make up for it with all kinds of makeup tricks. It took my mom half an hour to get everything right– liquid eyeliner and shadow in a contouring shape, plus bronzer/blush and tons of lipstick, even fake lashes for some kids. It was a blast getting to play with all that makeup and getting to look completely different for a couple of hours every night! And the amazing costumes and sets… I was OBSESSED with Thailand for a while after that, the clothing and the architecture and the history and the food, and I still hope to visit someday.

With that slight ‘cat lash’ winged eyelash look that I’m seeing on Natalie Portman these days, too…sigh. Anyhow, she (and Ms. Portman) definitely have my fave makeup looks…’specially now that Natalie is a spokeswoman for Dior! Have you ever helped friends film a low-budget movie?
In 10th grade I my friends and I made a little film re-enactment of one of the final scenes in the novel “A Tale Of Two Cities” for our big midterm project in English class. We did the scene of the guillotining of Sydney Carton. We filmed in my friends’ back yard, but it was winter so we had to do it outside in the snow, and our fake blood kept freezing (not to mention the hands of the guy holding the camera!). My boyfriend at the time played Sydney, and I played the woman in line with him who kisses him at the end (I didn’t want anyone else kissing my boyfriend!). He did his speech and then walked around the corner of the garage (where, presumably, the guillotine was waiting for him). My other friend was off-camera and she clanged a shovel on a rock off-camera to make the guillotine noise, and then splashed a bucket of fake blood onto the snow. The film ended with the camera zooming up close on it. It was truly a masterpiece. 🙂
What’s the first movie you can remember going to see?
Hmm. Maybe Disney’s “Little Mermaid”? I was in 3rd grade and I remember that my friends and I friends were really, really obsessed with that movie. We had all of the lyrics from the movie memorized and would randomly break out into song in the middle of class.
Which actress strikes you as having consistently the best makeup?
Angelina Jolie, because she is one of the few actresses who consistently does not wear too much makeup, and she has naturally beautiful features.
Have you ever thought about working as a movie makeup artist?
Oh god, no. I’m not even that good at doing my own makeup! 🙂
Describe the most elaborate/theatrical makeup look you ever wore and what it was for (a big date, Halloween, a play)
Two years ago for Halloween I was a geisha. I did the entire face look with white paint, red lips and eyes, etc. It took half an hour to do. My dad actually helped me with most of it. It was a big hit at the party that night! (I also had an authentic kimono that my friend had brought back for me from japan.)

Oh, wow! I haven’t even heard of Super 8, but after watching the posted trailer, it seems like a definite must-see! It’s been a while since there’s been a movie with a such a theme starring kids! & the fact that there are kids in it definitely makes me less intimidated to watch it! 😛
I love sci-fi flicks, and will definitely be seeing super8. My favorite of all time has to be Mars Attacks, classic!
for some reason i’m so overly tired today!
I always wanted to become a makeup artist.
I love Sephora!

i know SS through family, so i’m really excited to see this!
My first theater outing was for the mid-80s rerelease of Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. My grandmother was pretty adventurous, taking a four-year-old to the movies, but I’ve never had a huge problem sitting still at the movies. (Mainly because I’m rather picky about what I pick to see, haha!)
i can’t wait to see anymovie. i plan on a movie everyweek!
Quite random, but the first movie I remember seeing at a theatre was Sweet Dreams, a movie about Patsy Cline – which, according to Wikipedia, came out when I was 2! My mom must have wanted to see it and dragged me along with her! 🙂
Hope I win this one!

My friend and I filmed a bunch of “previews” for fake movies once and created a video collection. One was a Jr James Bond flick… I was a bond girl: Lacey Droors
Well, I’m not sure about the first movie I saw in the cinema… I’m gonna guess Jungle 2 Jungle, Air Bud or Zeus and Roxanne… but maybe I’ve seen films in the cinema earlier, I don’t know :P.
And for low budget movies, no, I haven’t done those, unfortunately :(. I mean, there have been some ideas from friends, but we never got to make it. With one friend circle when I was about 11 or 12, we planned to make a horror movie AND its parody (In the trap of the vampire and In the pants of the martyr… they rhyme in Hungarian :P)… and with my high school class, we were always planning to do a BIG action-comedy flick with every one of us having bigger roles… but we only got to shoot one or two scenes and to write some scenes. I would have been an assassin in it, it would have been so cool :P.
The first movie I remember seeing in theaters was “Beauty and the Beast”. Except it must have returned to theaters several years after it was first released because I only would have been 2 the first time 🙂
I remember watching Pocahontas in theaters when it first came out. It is the first movie I remember watching, but probably not the first one I saw.
I went hiking at Lake Berryessa yesterday. Totally taking advantage of this wonderful weather we’re having
Would love to win this! I haven’t won a thing in my life and this would be a lovely thing to win.
mmmmm, ribs for dinner!
hello! I am hungry right now
loving the toy story movies all over again, just had a pixar movie marathon yesterday! 😛
Last night I watched the chick-flick-on-crack; Letters to Juliet, and yes–there might have been a moment or two when–cough, cough–I teared up. Just a little. But throughout this shameless movie the one thing that stood out most was the beautiful “I just drank red-wine and it stained my lips” lip colour on the actress Amanda Seyfried. Wouldn’t I just love to know what the heck she was wearing…gorgeous!
Thanks for the giveaway–with any luck I too can go to Sephora and find something that makes me half as kissable as Amanda Seyfried! 😉
I just got home from the beach!
Just finished eating some delicious cheeseburgers my hubby made… In a food coma checking my Google reader while he plays call of duty!
How Exciting! I Hope I Win!!!…
Hi Karen, are you a Filipina? 🙂

I remember very distinctly the first movie I saw in a theater. I was about three or four and I went to see Pocahontas with my grandparents. About twenty minutes in I ran out screaming and crying because the movie scared me so much!
Craving for pasta.
When I was in Fourth Grade, my friends and I had to make a film of a book for school, so we made a movie of Harriet the Spy. I ended up playing Harriet and I decided to give myself freckles (I really liked freckles for some reason). They ended up looking like huge brown craters on my face. I looked pretty hilarious in that movie!
wow! i love your sports bra posts as i have been looking for a good one myself! =)
loved the movie. saw it last night
The first movie I remember seeing in a movie theater was the Disney classic Snow White.
Went to my first Kryolan makeup store the other day. So crazy; there were pots of fake blood and vomit on the walls! But their makeup was really pigmented, I was so impressed!
I would buy Nars Amour with this money 😉
the weekends pass by way too fast =(
I think Emma Stone always has beautiful makeup! I want to steal her style! Thanks for the interesting post!
i can’t even remember the first movie i went to, lol!!
i was a make-up artist for quite a few years and worked for some great companies. i still do free-lance on the side and always thought it would have been cool to work on a movie.
hope you had a great weekend 🙂
The first movie I saw was Lady and the Tramp with my Dad. I couldn’t wait until it came out on DVD so I could see it again.
it’s a 100 degrees in texas, yay me
I remember in sixth grade we had different ‘theme days’ during homecoming week, and for 70s day I plastered bright blue eyeshadow across my lids and bright pink lipstick on my lips. My mom wanted to pass out I think, haha. That look was definitely not 70s, but I just wanted to bask in the glory of being able to wear makeup that wasn’t in a flesh tone to school for once!
I’m so sick of school. I need retail therapy
I can’t wait to see Super 8!
MY LAST TWO FINALS ARE TOMORROW!!!

I think that Dianna Agron and Mandy Moore always have the best makeup! They always look so flawless!
Thank you so much for this I LOVE sephora and right before my bday too? THANK YOU:)!!!
We have to wear the craziest, heaviest makeup in operas…. I wouldn’t dare wear it out in public, I’d look like a total nutcase!
I actually notice the dewy flawless skin of the actresses rather than their eye or lip makeup.
I always love Megan Fox’s makeup! It’s pretty simple yet really glamorous! Thanks for the giveaway! (:
I loved Super 8!! I saw it last weekend and am totally in love. It’s definitely in vein with other classics like ET and The Goonies. So stoked about it.
I also really loved reading Emma Watson’s recent interview with Vogue. She’s one person that I think always has a beautiful and classic look.
Love Jessica Alba’s make-up; love the soft, smoky eyes she pulls off and the beautiful glow her skin always has!
I hope I’m not too late! :]

I went to watch Super 8, and really liked it, too! Totally reminded me of E.T. and Cloverfield.
I cannot wait to see Bad Teacher!! 😀
The first movie I can remember seeing is TItanic, haha. One year I dressed up as a geisha for Halloween, but in hindsight, I could have done a lot more in terms of makeup and costuming.
Wow this would be amazing to win 🙂
