Two Ways to Win $215 in Perricone MD!

July 16th, 2009 by Karen 207 Comments

perricone-top-3

Do ya ever get the itch to try new skin care stuff? I have my favorite fallbacks — the products I run back to when my face freaks out — but I’m a product junkie at heart. I’ll use any excuse to try a new cleanser, treatment or moisturizer, le sigh!

I’ve been wanting to check out Perricone MD and their cosmeceuticals. Perricone’s a high-end line of facial cleansers, moisturizers and anti-aging treatments, and prices range from $30 to $300 per item.

Which is why I think it’s time for a giveaway. 🙂

The prize

One lucky lady will win a prize package worth $215 in Perricone MD.

The prize includes…

  1. A bottle of Advanced Face Firming Activator (a $120 value). This bestseller’s a lightweight, non-greasy anti-aging treament formulated with alpha lipoic acid (an antioxidant) and DMAE (dimethylaminoethanol, an organic compound found in many anti-aging supplements). Perricone claims this bad boy will reduce the appearance of fine lines, wrinkles and enlarged pores.
  2. A bottle of High Potency Eye Lift (a $95 value). Also a Perricone favorite, this eye treatment is said to repair advanced signs of aging around the delicate eye area while also minimizing deep lines, wrinkles and under-eye bags.

You know what my problem is? I break out like a 14 year old! Ever since getting pregnant with my first child last year, my skin backslid 15 years. But, I have very dry and sensitive skin and am starting to show signs of aging. I can deal with acne. I can deal with aging. But they shouldn’t exist together!

Acne (even while in my thirties) is pretty well controlled with Retin-A even in the hot humid Texas summer. I’ve noticed those little lines crinkling around my eyes – it’s starting to bother me. I found your blog while looking for eye cream reviews on the web. I’m also obsessive about the skin on my chest in preventing sun damage – it has got to match my face and not have the dried out leathery look later in life. Huge fan of sunblock. And I’m ok with being Casper.

And I think that’s also what’s causing the minor zit/blackhead here and there since more stuff *sticks* to my face because of that.

I’m 29, and I feel like I’ve got pretty good skin. People think I’m younger (sometimes up to a decade), and I would really like to keep it that way, but just by taking care of my skin. It’s not that I’m worried about wrinkles, so much, but more that I don’t want them prematurely.

My biggest skincare concern I’d have to say is … too many! My skin is quite sensitive. If I skip a step or add something new to my daily ritual, I’ll get a mad reaction. My skin freaks out on me like Aunt Flow! I can have oily skin one week and super dry skin the next. The worst case was when I had an allergic reaction to a toner and started flaking. Not only was a my face drying up, it also burned! It got better after a couple of weeks. I had to wear Vaseline on my face at night and aloe during the day. I guess the real major concern is maintaining my face on a whole.

My biggest concerns are my nasolabial folds (lines from bottom of the nose to the corner of the mouth) and marionette lines (lines from the corner of the mouth).

This skin aging is due to my insufficient sun protection when I was younger. I now hope to have a product that can help firm up my skin. 🙂

My biggest skincare concern now is definitely sun damage. I’m pretty young at 23 and for the most part (other than the stray pimple and uneven skintone), I have pretty nice skin. But 23 long years of playing outside in the surf and sun, (most of the time without sunscreen) has started to take a toll. Of course, I’m the only one who sees, but I’ve noticed very tiny fine lines on my forehead and under my eyes as well as sunspots.

I’ve never worried before, but I’ve been religiously applying eye cream! Hopefully my good Asian skin genes pull through! =(

My biggest skin concern is acne scars. I’ve never broken out much—except for the spring of my freshman year in college. Unfortunately I developed acne scars from that period of time and have never been able to get rid of them. I also still have occasional acne and semi-oily skin in the summer, but those are more fixable problems.

Nowadays it seems like I can’t find a moisturiser that works well with my skin, coz it’s either not hydrating enough or it leaves my skin oily and breaks me out. 🙁

Sun protection/damage! I’ve got the whole scottish-and-irish-ancestral-complexion thing going on, complete with mad freckles, a high resistance to sunscreen (I couldn’t find a single brand which would last more than thirty minutes last summer, plus I hate how greasy they all leave me), and the utter inability to tan, and it’s starting to show (when I’m only 23!). I’m not about to give up on the great outdoors, so I just have to figure out how to take the best care of my skin possible.

I could also use an awesome non-greasy moisterizer.

My biggest concern (among the many!), as I am getting older, is the sagging in my jawline and that my eyelids have started to “hood”. The “hooding’ is particularly depressing as my eyes have always been my best feature. I am constantly trying new eye creams, looking for one that will actually help with this problem, but I do not have the money available to try the more advanced formulas, like Dr. Perricone. I have often wished that I could afford to try his products, as all the reviews that I have read make it sound like these products might really help. Thank you, Karen, for offering the chance to win them!

My skin wasn’t too bad in high school, but in the last couple years (I’m 22) my face has gotten super-sensitive, dry while still oily, with zits! I can’t figure it out! Last summer I started an acne line (and it worked!) but when I run out I have to stop using it because it is so drying and irritates my skin a little. And now I’m concerned about aging. Ugh! To all you out there with effortlessly beautiful skin: Be thankful! You have it so good!

My biggest skin concern is finding a good daytime moisturizer with UVA/B protection. I’m super worried about wrinkles, so I figure this is the best way to prevent them, but it’s been a hard search. Everything I’ve tried so far is either too drying, breaks me out, feels like there’s goop on my face, or makes me look ashy, and to top it off I seem to have reactions to some sunscreens. Who knew that finding such a basic product could be so hard.

I am 28, and starting to see crepeiness under my eyes and fine lines around them! Also, the sun damage of my youth is becoming more and more obvious. I need all of this to GO AWAY!!!

My biggest skin concern is redness and finding products to help calm down my sensitive skin.

My biggest problem is acne scars! They may not cause phsyical pain, but they sure cause emotional pain.

Perricone is so great, I love it! My biggest skin care concern would be breaking out, I hate that!

I’m looking for something to handle my stupid rosacea. It’s mild, but I live in South Florida and it looks like I have year-round slight sunburn. EWWW GOD. Like one of those stupid Campbell’s Soup kids. 🙁

I have several things going on with my skin right now — uneven skintone, mild-to-moderate acne, and acne scarring. I am also very concerned with keeping wrinkles, age spots and fine lines at bay.

My biggest problems are acne and dryness. Plus I’ve gotten a lot of sunburn throughout the years so I want to prevent early wrinkles. Thanks for the giveaway!

I would like to find a product that evens my skin tone and banishes hyperpigmentation left after a pimple heals. Thanks for the contest!

Hyperpigmentation from Melasma!! Absolutely bums me out- and I can’t seem to make it disappear at all. Lots and lots of sunscreen for me because the sun makes it worse. Help!

My biggest concern is my sensitive skin! I have eczema and some products make that act up on me.

I have mixed skin with oily and dry parts, and I want a good moisturizer that will stay on and doesn’t smell funny.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
