“Is that another cat looking at my zinnias!?”
No, Tabs, it isn’t. It’s just a nosy crow.
The front yard garden is basically all set, and it’s reasonably deer-proof. There are new potted zinnias, petunias and salvia to go with the three dwarf citrus trees Tabs planted a few weekends ago.
Tabs did all the measurements for the spacing between each of the pots and the ground cover, making sure that every plant and rock are in exactly the perfect place. This way he doesn’t have to take more than 10 steps between each interesting landmark.
He really does seem happy with the way everything turned out. It’s a very cat conducive environment now. There’s the front grassy lawn in the condo common area, which is perfect for snacking, and then after you fill up on greens, you can nibble on a zinnia leaf for dessert
The petunias are mostly decorative. Tabs doesn’t nibble on them, but neither have any deer, which was one of the design priorities.
Overall, the garden turned out really well. Now Tabs can add “landscape architect” to his long list of purr-fessional skills. 🙂

Karen

Let me know if he finds peace in his busy schedule and takes appointments. Tom, my inherited cat, would probably love to have his garden redesigned. So if in an upcoming Europe tour there is a time slot, maybe Tabs could fit him in?

Tabs has done a smashing job of it. Now all you have to do is wait for a phone call from Architectural Digest, wanting to do a feature on your garden.
