Hello and happy Caturday, my friend!
Just a quick hi before we head to the city to meet a couple of friends visiting from out of town.
Wow… This was a challenging week. I know I haven’t been around as much as usual, but we’re only just now getting back into the swing of thing around heres. Connor was fighting a virus and missed a few days of school, but she’s back to her charming, sassy self. I hope you had a good week, and I hope you’re doing something fun this weekend.
Whatever you’re up to, I hope it involves coffee, because I’m all about my coffee this morning. It’s giving me life!
- Props to the artists who worked on this woman’s zombie makeup, which was so spot on that the hospital staff thought it was a real-deal medical emergency!
- How Emmy-winning makeup artist Nicki Ledermann (who also worked on Sex and the City, among other projects) got in Joaquin Phoenix’s face to apply that iconic Joker makeup for the new movie.
- A look at the science behind skin care superstar ingredient, hyaluronic acid.
- Cooks who endure grueling conditions in hot kitchens break down the beauty products they rely on to get through their days.
Music to get your chill fall weekend started!

Have a good one today. Talk to you soon.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Hope you have fun in The City today. My trainer is out of town for a family reunion, so I finally gave in and joined Dear Daughter at her CrossFit gym. I almost died. After the AMRAP WOD we finished with four minutes of burpees. The last 30 seconds I could not get up off the floor. Lol.
FOUR MINUTES??? Dang! I’m impressed you did that for 3.5 minutes!
The first minute was ok, the second minute harder. I cannot tell you how slow my burpees were for the third minute. I think I managed to eke out only one or two in the fourth minute and lay prone, groaning for the last 30 seconds on the timer.
My DD on the other hand is a beast.
Happy Caturday! I played at the circus gym for a little bit (I’m hula hooping in our student showcase next week but I did aerial too) and then showered and took a nap with Jiji and Hettie. I hope you have a good time in the city!
That is so cool. I want a circus gym!
The chill hop! Love! The animal friends are so cute too. Good workin music.
I’m glad to hear that Connor is feeling better. Hope you had a great visit/trip to the city. 🙂
