How you doin’, Caturday?!
I’m low-key thrilled right meow because of this unexpected discovery I found on the bottom of my Trader Joe’s New Hampshire shopping bag, which I got in one of the Trader Joe’s 1-2-3 Mystery Packs before Christmas.
It’s a — wait for it! — recipe for a maple bacon sundae. ???
How cool is this? I may never have seen it if it hadn’t been for my coworker, who also got the same bag in her Mystery Pack. She was maneuvering her New Hampshire bag sideways into the trunk of her car one day to make it fit, and that’s when she spotted the recipe on the bottom.
I swear, this bag keeps on giving…
I’m into salty-sweet combos, so I would totally get down with this sundae in a heartbeat, but when I told El Hub about it, he was grossed out and compared it to putting mint chocolate chip ice cream on ground beef…which, yeah, makes my stomach turn. But I still feel like the vanilla and bacon would work together in a sundae, because the vanilla is like a blank canvas, right? Hmm… What do you think? Yummy? Disgusting?

I’m all over this.
Connor has a dance recital next week, so I’m off to take her to rehearsal now. What are you up today? I hope you’ll have some time to yourself to relax.

Thanks for the link about temps for cats being out in the cold! My car never goes out, but with temps in the 20s and 30s right now I’m always wondering when I see neighborhood cats around if they’re actually safe. Good to know!

Yes! I worry about the kitties around our area too. 🙂

It’s been awhile since I left a comment. Today is Bruce ands my 23rd wedding anniversary. We are going to our favorite NJ restaurant. I had a pretty low-key holiday. It’s tough to celebrate too much when you’re unemployed. Zack is home for his winter break and goes back in two weeks. It’s great having him around but I think he’s eager to start 2nd semester. So far, he did really well and I hope it continues.
I hope all is well with you. Looking forward to a new decade!
Be well!

That bacon sundae sounds A-MAY-ZING! I think the key would be getting really high quality vanilla bean ice cream.
Thanks for the link about 50s face. So much happened to my face at 48-50. Permanent fine lines in my forehead, worsening of crows feet, saggy jowls, and and saggier hoods on my eyes. Menopause made my skin go berzerk this last year, and has just settled this last month or so. My face lost a lot of it’s roundness, making me look older. It’s really weird seeing a new face for the last couple of years.

That Atoderm stick is legit! I found it at a local Walgreens and had to try it. It works great under a matte lippie!
