G’morning! Got glitter on my mind today because I painted my nails for the first time in weeks yesterday (FINALLY), and I used Smith & Cult Vegas Post Apocalyptic. It’s a clear glitter base with mostly lavender glitter flecks in it, but also some holographic blue, pink, yellow and green flecks as well.
Yup, this is my idea of holiday nails. 😊
I don’t really do traditional Christmas color combos like red and gold anymore because one year everyone I ran into (SERIOUSLY, EVERYONE) assumed that whenever I wore a red/gold mani, it was a shout-out to the San Francisco 49ers, which was fine…but that wasn’t what I was going for. I must’ve said, “Christmas nails, not 49ers nails” three thousand times, ha ha! So, yeah.
This particular glittery polish isn’t on the Smith & Cult website anymore (boo!), but there’s a super similar color called Take Fountain, which I think might actually be the same polish with a different name.
Also, I think A Little Lovely looks very cool, too…
ALL TEH GLITTER! AAAAAH!

OK, now we’re off to get our Christmas tree 🎄 and to decorate the house.
So…how long do you think it’ll take before Tabs 🐱 attacks the tree…? One day? A week?
What are you up to?

I need that nail polish! It looks gorgeous!

Ooh, I adore glitter polish but have a heck of the time removing it. Do you have any special tips for removal. My daughter’s method which is waiting for it to chip off is not an option for this girl.
Thanks!
I think Smith & Cult changed the name of that one after the mass shooting in Vegas and they got grief for another name around the same time. I’ve never had anyone say 49ers in connection w my red and gold manicures. Maybe my friends aren’t such huge football fanatics. Wonder if “WARRIORS” would come up if I painted them blue.
And yes! UC Davis veterinary program is the best!
My daughter went to UC Davis to study veterinary science but she changed to political science pre law. They are one of the best veterinary schools in US. Sadly our beloved cat Blaow has liver cancer . He’s 15 years old and we’re giving him palliative care. We have been baking Tilapia for him everyday. Hopefully some of the healing properties from Tilapia will give us some extra time with our cat boy!
Did you know that tilapia skin can also be used to treat human burns? I remember seeing something about it a couple years back and your comment about them using it on cats and dogs reminded me. I’m glad docs are able to help the animals. It was so sad how many animals I’ve read about who had to survive the fire by their own resources. 🙁 I’m glad they’re able to get help now for their wounds.
