Saturday Surfing

September 18th, 2010 by Karen 11 Comments

Hi, good lookin’. How’s it going? What are you up to this weekend? I’ve been living it up leisure-style today. First, I slept in, then I caught up on Project Runway, and now I’m watching Cats 101 on Animal Planet (I want a munchkin!).

Some days, like today, I just feel like letting my mind wander, you know? I’ve been watching the tube, surfing the web, reading and hanging out with Tabs and loving EVERY MINUTE OF IT! I almost wish today would never end, le sigh…

Speaking of web surfing, you know what we do on Saturdays, right? Last one in the water is a rotten mascara.

This makes me wanna dance!

You best believe I’m in love, baby!

Enjoy the rest of your Saturday!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I took the night off from work. Had a baby shower this afternoon (it was really cute!), and going to a party tonight. My skin is being crazy and i’m breaking out. Ugh.

Mine does that when I’m stressed, not exercising and/or not getting enough sleep. 🙁

What are you using to fight the breakouts?

<3 Janelle Monae. Her music doesn't fall into my usual listening tendencies (okay, so maybe I don't have any other artists in my entire iTunes library that sound even a bit like her,) but she's just… amazing. Love, love, love!

P.S. Those munchkins are SO cute. Echoing your statement!

I really love the bright aqua and deep purple lips mentioned at The Cut 🙂 I like to wear both of those colors on occasion.

I can totally see you in those brights!

I like the idea of them, but I don’t have the guts to go out in public with crazy bright lips.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
