Greetings from WordCamp San Francisco, ladies. I’ve had about eight cups of coffee (it was free), and I’m feelin’ WHEE! Has your coffee or tea kicked in yet?
WordCamp is a one-day conference for people who use the software I use for Makeup and Beauty Blog. They talk about plugins, which are little programs that add new features; security; search engine optimization and then load you up on swag like buttons and stickers.
I’ve got my laptop here in the conference room. Weird… I’m actually using WordPress at WordCamp.
FREAKY!
How are things with you? The surf patrol reports some nice breaks. Care to catch a few waves with me?

I wish Tabs would let me haul him around like this…
Do you know the words to this song?
Hope your weekend got off to a good start. I just got a text from Tabs… He said to be sure to tell everyone “hi.” 🙂
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen
Hi Karen!
I’ve been following your blog for almost a month and i finally found the courage to say hi (I’m a little shy, can you tell). I just love your blog and though I don’t wear make up often I’m learning tons of useful stuff from you. Just keep up the good work. And please say hello to Tabs for me =)
Hi Nina! It’s okay to be shy. I’m shy sometimes too. 🙂 Tabs says “mrow!” — which loosely translated means “hey, girl.”
Awww, Lisa Loeb, my celebrity alter ego. Yes, I know the words…
Have fun at WordCamp! It sounds like fun. 🙂
I totally see it! Aww, now I want a celebrity alter ego…
Hi Karen,
Have fun at Word Camp! and also that you caught up on that much needed sleep.
Hi Reese,
So far it’s been pretty good. As for sleep, I managed to get a whopping six hours last night… WOO HOO!
How’s your weekend going so far?
I love that little kitty. The couple just found a kitten while backpacking across the USA and he just chillaxes with them. I love animal lovers

I really, REALLY wish Tabs would chill in a backpack. I’d take him everywhere. 😀
Have a great weekend!
Word camp, what a fun day! 🙂
Hee hee! I <3 my gamer!
It’s been good so far! Hope your Saturday is chugging along!
This is a great article! I love the cat, I have one just like it! I love Lisa Loeb too, what a great trip back!
I remember that Lisa Loeb song! And wow, the music video was done all in one take.
I really wish Cargo was still at Sephora… I don’t get free shipping from Ulta. *pout*
It was also allegedly filmed in her apartment, too. I wonder whatever happened to the kitty in the beginning of the vid!
Sick apartment. And yes, I was wondering about teh kitteh too.
Heya K! I hope WordCamp was a blast!
The bestie and her family drove over to visit us here @ home. We had Thai food for lunch and then browsed the First Saturday Arts Fest. I bought some earrings an antique-y multi chain necklace and a brownie. We had fun.
Now im just chillaxin’ before I go off and make some green tea tiramisu! 🙂
Green tea tiramisu?! That sounds like an oddly appealing combination.
I am obsessed with all things green tea, particularly japanese matcha.
Ive made green tea cupcakes using mochi flour (which can be made using regular flour too). Ive also made a green tea cake made in a rice cooker.
This is my first time making the green tea tiramisu … its chilling in the freezer now. cant wait to taste it!
I’m drooling now. Let us know how it turns out!
I wish to have my own mini fridge so that I can store all my cosmetics & skincare products!!!

Dear Karen
could you pleeease make your links open in new tabs? It’s very annoying that I have to leave your site to visit a link you recommend (and that’s a compliment, just so you know 🙂 ).
Hi, Swissfairy. Have you tried right clicking the links? It opens a menu where you can choose “Open Link in New Tab”.
Hehe… I said Tab. 🙂 Have a good night.
Hi Karen. I knew that but thanks for the quick answer anyway. 🙂 I just thought it would be so much more convenient to not have to right click (which really sucks on an apple laptop, by the way). And on most blog templates it’s just a tiny setting you’d have to change..
xoxo
Thanks so much for the bridal thing link!!!

ARGH, how did I miss this post? Was WordCamp worth it? I’ve been tooling around with wordpress but I feel a wkd of power using tips would motivate me to design more. Was it geared towards bloggers or designers?
