I snapped a few pics in the city last weekend. El Hub and I went to meet some old friends who were visiting the city and stopped by a couple of bars for a few hours on Saturday night, mostly in the Union Square/Nob Hill area.
I used to live in San Francisco and walked all around this neighborhood when I worked in one of the tall buildings near Union Square. Just when I think I’ve seen ever corner and there’s nothing new to see, hello! — I’m wrong, and I stumble upon something I’ve never seen before. Every time I visit, I see the city with fresh eyes all over again. There’s always something fascinating and interesting to see in San Francisco.
If you’re going to visit San Francisco, it’s hard to pick a better time of year than late September and early October. Most of the summer crowds have come and gone, but the weather’s clear, warm (even at night!) and gorgeous. San Francisco gets a late summer and temps in the mid-to-upper 70s in this city.
Fall is my favorite time to have fun in SF!

I have never been to SF (or anywhere else in the US, to be honest), but I really want to go there some day.

Love, love, love SF! My favorite “big city”! However last time I was there to see Hamilton with a friend, there was even more homeless people than I remember (hadn’t been there in probably 8 years). It is so heartbreaking and I hope something can be done about it.

It looks beautiful. The PCH drive (starting in SF) is my top-of-list road trip vacation. I’m hoping to do it two years from now. Fingers crossed! 🙂

I am glad to see that there are still parts of San Francisco that are beautiful. I grew up across the Bay in Lafayette, but we used to go to the city from time to time, and I took my husband there back in the late 90’s and we loved it. Now, all we see on the news is the horrible homeless situation, and you get the impression that the whole city looks like a tent city in a third world country. Thank you for showing us that that is not the case. It must have been so much fun to live there back in the day!

Thanks for the lovely photos. I’ve been lucky enough to visit a few times. One of the most beautiful places on earth.

I’ve never been! My husband went once for work and didn’t care for it. However, his best friend moved out there recently so maybe we’ll get to visit!
