So…what is the Monday Poll?
Well, it isn’t exactly a poll… It’s more of a constantly evolving (devolving?), somewhat random list of questions I’ve been doing every Monday morning for the past 11 (!) years. (It’s like a kick start for your brain.) I’ve always enjoyed reading your answers in the comments and getting my week off to a good start, and I hope you do, too.
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
It’s just my younger brother Al and I, and we have the same strange sense of humor and the same, like, zeal for life? On the big things, like politics and religion, I think we’re on a similar page.
But we’re also different in a lot of mostly small ways, too. For instance, I like pop music, and he likes music that’s too experimental and cerebral for me. 🙂
One of the bigger differences between us is how we approach our roles in the family, and this is probably because of birth order. I’m the older one, and I feel like it’s on me a lot of the time to plan things and steer the ship, whereas Al just gets to be a passenger on the ship…
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
I think for me the question is more, “When was the last time I didn’t spend the whole day in my pajamas?” Haha! See, the thing is, my pajamas spill over into my workout wear, which spills over into my regular clothes, so, technically, what I can go to sleep in, I could also wear to the grocery store, and then also to my exercise class.
Like the tank top from Old Navy that I wore to bed the other night, I also wore to work out in the following morning, and if I wanted to I could have also run errands in that tank top and nobody would have been the wiser.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
In the biggest plot twist of the year… Just kidding, it’s still me. 🙂 I’m still the one who wears the most makeup. It’s always been that way, and I suspect that it’s going to continue being that way until we’re living in Miami as the nouveau Golden Girls. I’m happy with that.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
Yesterday afternoon at a mom’s luncheon for the mother’s group I belong to. A woman came in, and she was in tears. She had a 7-month-old at home, and I guess she hadn’t gotten out in a while. I just remember that feeling being so raw and so real that I had to get up and give her a hug.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
Mile-wise, I don’t know, but it was about a two-hour drive north of where I grew up in the Bay Area, up to Davis, California, for school, so I’ve really never moved very far.
I still think about picking up and moving someplace cheaper to live than the Bay Area, because it’s so expensive here now, but my parents are here, and they’re getting older; and my brother is here; and El Hub’s job is here; and this is where most of my friends are… It gets harder when you have ties.
“Smile and the whole world smiles with you”
This is something my mom always said to me growing up, and even though I used to think it was kinda cheesy when I was younger I really appreciate it now, especially on Monday mornings. Hopefully you can find a reason to smile this morning, even if it’s a small thing, like the short walk you’re going to take on your break, or your yummy lunch!
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
My brother is 2 years older than me, and we both love language, academics, teaching, both listen to lots of different kinds of music and have similar senses of humor. There are a lot of differences too though. He’s not into fashion or makeup (on himself or on women), not particularly artistic, and he’s way better at singing and music in general.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
It’s been a while, I don’t remember!
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
My friend Kat!
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
I’m a hugger in general, but I don’t remember. A girl at s concert put her head on my shoulder a week or two ago!
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
From my town in northern Michigan three hours downstate.
Carla says
Where are you from in Michigan? My mom is from Negaunee.
Chelsea says
My hometown is still in the lower peninsula, in Roscommon County! I’ve been to Negaunee before though.
Carla says
Oh okay! It’s beautiful up there!
Barb says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike? I’m the oldest and only girl. I’ve got 2 brothers and quite honestly, not really. I’ve kind of the same taste in music with my one brother but definitely not the other. Also, both of their political views are way, way different than mine.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas? At least one day over the weekend.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup? Most definitely, me!
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug? Probably at my dad’s funeral, 3 years ago.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved? Not far at all. I just checked Google Maps and I currently live 8.8 miles from my childhood home.
Laura says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
My sister and I are identical twins so we are very alike in the looks department. We also like the same thing but not the same things about the same things if that makes sense. E,g, we both like The Avengers but my twin likes Captain America and I like Black Widow.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Two months ago when I got a migraine!
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
Me! It’s always me!
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
I don’t remember but I can remember the last time a stranger hugged me. I had just lost my job and was heading home. I stood at a street corner waiting for the light to change when I was approached by a charity worker asking for a donation. I burst into tears and he gave me a huge bear hug.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
Almost twenty years ago I moved from Montreal to Toronto to look for work. The distance is about 600 miles so it’s not so far that I can’t visit often!
Rachel says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
I am an only child! People always ask me what it was like growing up as an only child, as if it somehow has scarred me. I just say I have nothing to compare it to!
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Probably on a Sunday when I was hungover and my only movement was from the bed to the couch.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
My friend Amy and I wear about the same amount of makeup but I am more into it than her as far as trends and trying new things.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
I am not a big hug initiator and probably would never give a stranger one.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
From my home in North Dakota to Sacramento, CA for a job. I stayed about 6 years but started to miss family so I moved back! I love California though, such nice weather and so much to do!
Alexandra says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
Not really. Where I’m a mess, he’s organised; where I’m a liberal, he’s conservative, and vice versa; I like my cereal soggy and soft, he hates the smallest hint of softness, etc. On the other hand, there are these freakish similarities between us, like preferring one particular brand of juice, eggs on Sundays, rolling and sorting socks, tucking in our shoelaces, and facial expressions. And we get along just fine. 😀
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Mmm. I think it was last week. We had a long weekend here, and either Sunday or Monday was spent entirely in pyjamas.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
Meeeee!
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
About two months ago. A new colleague was celebrating her birthday, so I hugged her. I’m not a hugger.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
Does my three-month stint in the US count as a ‘move’? If yes, then all across the pond. If no, then barely a mile.
Kim says
Happy Monday!! 🙂
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike? Not at all. I have a younger sister and we have different opinions on pretty much every topic.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas? I can’t remember but I don’t believe it was any time recently.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup? This really is a shocker – I think it’s me. 2 of my friends wear no makeup at all.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug? I don’t think I’ve ever given a stranger a hug. Unless you count 20 years ago when I started traveling for work and meeting customers and sales reps (in the beauty biz, which is SUPER huggy). It used to freak me out. HAHA!
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved? Only about 30 miles/minutes away. I prefer to travel to different places rather than move there. Like you, my friends and family are here. And the boys have a fit if we talk about selling the house (when they grow up and move out). Maybe they’ll feel differently if they go farther away for college.
Leah G. says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike? My brother Josh is the most easy-going guy on the planet. He’s super relaxed. I’m pretty high strung so we’re opposites that way. We get along really well though!
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
The last time we had a snow day. So that would be sometime in March. Love snow days but I’m so ready for spring! I want to wear skirts without tights and lighter jackets. 🙂
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup? I have a friend that works in a bank and she’s super glamorous. She’s got it going on in terms of makeup skills.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug? I can’t remember. I am a hugger but my last stranger interaction involved shaking hands at the end of the conversation.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved? I live exactly 100 miles away from where I grew up.
Jaclyn Levy says
1. I have a sister and I’m the oldest. We are alike as far as values go, but our interests/jobs/philosophies are different. We respect and love the heck out of each other!
2. I’m a stay at home mom so like yesterday. ?
3. Me by far. I geek out if I run into someone wearing makeup it’s so rare! I even complement strangers. I know how long it took to do those brows so I’m going to give credit where it is due!
4. A homeless woman named Nancy on Easter.
5. I moved from Texas to Maryland right after I got married. My mom was a wreck!
Suzanne C says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
My sister isn’t my biological sister, so we’re not that much alike.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Yesterday, which is incredibly rare for me. I slept most of the day because of a headache.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
Sometimes my sister, sometimes me. Everyone else is extremely low-profile in the makeup department.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
A complete stranger? Never. We’re big huggers in my family, but I also have strict boundaries with people I don’t know well.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
45 minutes away. What can I say- I’m a mama’s girl. 🙂
Astrid says
The Monday polls brought a smile on my face for sure :D. Oh and the yummy lunch I had, which is roasted potato with vegetarian chili… and they actually put slices of chilies on top (that’s super rare in Germany, I tell you that!)
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
I don’t have a sibling… I have cousins though, but I guess that’s different, although I do have a cousin that’s quite similar to me in personality and we’re pretty close now.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Oh my… I don’t know, probably not in a very long time! Thing is, even when I’m working from home, I actually like to change to a “working clothes” and even when I’m on holiday, I’ve a major FOMO going on :D.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
It should be me, but my mother in law wins the price. She always wears a full face makeup everyday! I sometimes get lazy and just put sunscreen and lipgloss.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
It must be one of those “Free Hugs” day, during the last Christopher day in Berlin. I love them.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
To Germany, from Indonesia. I kind of want to move again, just for the experience of a new place, but I don’t know where just yet (actually so tempted to move to Bay Area).
Michele DiCola says
My only sister and I are nothing alike although most recently people think we look alike .
Never spent a day in pjs !
I am that girl who wears the most makeup ?
I met a woman and her baby in the waiting room while my niece had surgery . Somehow we hugged each other .
I moved from Philly to Fayetteville NC while my husband was in the army ; my daughter was born there .

Erin says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
Yes, we’re much alike in humor and intellect. I seem to be the only one with any wisdom which isn’t saying much. They would all also agree to that. We have many similarities.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Yesterday!
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
Excluding myself, probably my cousin Stacy and my friend Christelle. I don’t wear even half the makeup they do.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
I hugged and hi-fived at kid 2 weeks ago at Whole Foods. She started shouting at me when I walked in, she wanted to talk badly, so we did for about 10 minutes. I walked next to her cart so her mom could shop and I could take the brunt of the questions and keep her engaged. We parted with joy but about 5 minutes later she was shouting across the store for me. Her mom tried to get her to stop, I offered to come back around the corner where the kid couldn’t see me but the mom declined.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
Portland Oregon to Frankfurt Germany.
Tatiana says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike? I have two older brothers, so no, not really. My middle older brother is really book smart and my Mom always compared me to him and would say, “Why can’t you be smarter like your brother?” Because, duh, I’m dyslexic (they didn’t really have a word for it in the 60’s. I was just a slow reader.) I’m more artistic and spontaneous and used to be more adventurous. I’m also more liberal, accepting of other peoples’ faults and less judgmental.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas? Can’t say I ever have as a married adult. Even when I’ve been sick, Dear Hubs believes you should get up, shower and change into clothes. So he kinda nudges me that way until I’m dressed.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup? Probably my daughter, because she goes to an office to work.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug? I don’t. Don’t get me wrong, I like people and I enjoy meeting them, as long as I don’t have to hug someone I don’t really know. I just don’t like being touched by strangers.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved? From the Bay Area peninsula to a town SE of Amsterdam. Dear Husband got a work assignment there and I tagged along. Probably would have better memories of it if I hadn’t been pregnant and given birth there. He’s doing consulting work for a group in Tokyo and they keep asking him to move there. I keep hoping one of these days he agrees to it.
Rachel Runyan says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
I had 4 brothers, but one is deceased. My brother who is 5 years younger and I are a lot alike. We both like goth and alternative things, and both of us have a weird sense of humor. I think we’re both kind-hearted, unselfish people. My other two brothers and I are not much alike at all, although I look the most like my youngest brother.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Last month when I was sick. I don’t like to wear pjs during the day.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
Definitely me. Next would be my friend who’s staying with me.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
In January. She was an online friend I met for the first time in person, so I’m not sure if she counts. I’m not much of a hugger, especially when it comes to complete strangers.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved? As a child, across the country. As an adult, 130 miles from my hometown to the Portland suburbs.
Mickaela says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
People used to think we were twins when we were in high school, yet he’s actually two years older. I suspect they thought that, not only because he took a picture with a wig and people thought it was me, but because we hung out with each other’s friends, and we rarely ever fought as we got older. He’s the most honest and loyal person you’ll ever meet (not that I’m a scoundrel, lol, but he’s quite the honorable person).
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Christmas Day. It’s our family’s thing.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
My friend Belle is a cosmetologist; she does her makeup on the regular. I almost buy as much makeup as her, yet I wear it only about once a week. The rest of my friends all go bare faced, and we’re all in our 40s!
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
I’m a nurse. Every week, almost.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
From PA to NC
*Karen, I mentioned I don’t wear much makeup, but when I do go looking for something, I check your blog first for your input. Thanks!
Trude says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
My youngest brother and I are the responsible ones, my middle brother is the rebel, but we’re all pretty similar in terms of values and sense of humor.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
There have been many days in the last 3 months since the baby was born. But I try to at least change to fresh ones. And most days I’m the same as you, in terms of workout clothes and running errands clothes.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
Usually me, surprise! 🙂
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
Same as you, a mom in one of my groups who was having a tough time.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
Aa an adult, SoCal to Reno, about 500 miles. As a kid, we moved from Norway to California.
Karen says
Hey Trude,
I would loooove to take a break from being the “responsible” sibling! It would be nice change from the last 40-something years, lol. I love having a brother but would also love to be the one’s only job is to shows up to family gatherings and eat, LOL.
I didn’t know you joined a mom’s group. 🙂 Is it a formal thing or an informal group of friends? So glad you’re able to connect with others at this point of the journey, it helps to have the support!
Trude says
I hear you on that!! I’ve been going to two different groups, one through my hospital that’s led by a really great lactation consultant, and the other through a local store/ mom and kid classes type place. The hospital one is especially great because it’s free access to an expert. 🙂 I also recently started going to local Hike It Baby events, they’re member led hikes of all kinds, from a basic stroll to mountain hikes. It’s such a great way to get outside with others! They do toddler-led hikes too, I bet there’s one near you!
Karen says
Sounds like fun! I love being outside (well, these days, I love it when I remember to take allergy meds the night before!). Thank you for recommendation. I’ll look into it!
Give that sweet baby a kiss for me.
Stephanie Smith says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike? Yes. I have a twin brother and a two year younger sister, so we’re all close in age. We’re all liberal minded, friendly, and funny. I’m a stay at home mom, my sister is a teacher and school board member, and my brother works full time, so there are some key differences, but at our cores, we’re very much alike.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas? Lol! I don’t actually wear pajamas. I wear a bathrobe when I get up, and have been known to stay in that bathrobe until noon on Saturdays.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup? My friend Margie, she loves it. She doesn’t need it and she thinks she does, but she wears a whole face.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug? Usually when I meet the kid/spouse/parent/sibling of someone I know, I hug. I’m a hugger.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved? Not far. I’m about 20 minutes from where I grew up in central CA. When the hubs retires we’d like to move out of state, I’d like to live elsewhere.
Kate & Bree says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
My brother is 21 months younger than me and we’re rather…opposites. We share some of the same movies but he likes cerebral, metal music and that makes my head hurt.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Today?
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
I have no idea. We’re all rather bad at it, although I wear the most for shows!
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
Friday at the horse show.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
How’s Germany to Arizona? Ha ha ha. I was 2.5 years old. Thankfully, I don’t remember it much. I do remember the move from Colorado to Wisconsin though. That was a move. XD
Karen says
Hi Kate,
I think it’s cool that you wear makeup to the shows. 🙂 Is there a dress code for makeup/hair, or do you get to do your own thing?
Hugs to Bree. (Why do I want to call her “Bree-bree”?)
Kate & Bree says
At our barn shows, there’s no dress code aside from helmet and number. You could go in your pajamas if you wanted. At Special Olympics, you have to wear equestrian boots, breeches, gloves, show coat, helmet, and show shirt along with number and bracelet (it’s like a hospital bracelet but it allows you into the back to see the horses and tells people where you belong.)
Makeup is optional but years of ballet and ice skating has wired in me stage makeup for shows. XD
It’s not just you. We all call her Bree-Bree, B or B.B. Ha ha ha. If we’re really in the singsong mode, we’ll sing, “Briana.” She doesn’t respond to that though. She’ll respond to the others though!
Karen says
Stage makeup is fun, and I think of it in some ways as donning armor for competition! I know that might sound kind of silly, but I do believe that anything that helps you get in the mindset to compete is helpful — a mantra, visualization techniques or a killer hot pink lippie!
Connor and I give nicknames to all the dogs in our neighborhood. 🙂 There’s Gracey-grace, Boogs, Sadie-Sadie-Pretty-Baby… LOL! The list goes on and on.
Kate & Bree says
I do the same thing with all of the dogs. All of the horses at the NFP have nicknames! I have “names” to remember people by too like one of my online friends Lauren is Lolo (it’s mostly because she sends out the funniest Christmas cards and calls herself “Lolo Claus” when she does this. Lolo stuck with me.)
My stage makeup is definitely not like it was when I was in ballet and figure skating. It’s definitely way toned down. It’s definitely something I would have worn in high school when I did a full face of makeup (every day. How’d I do that?!) and now I just can’t be bothered to put on foundation, concealer, powder, blush, highlighter, a tiny, tiny bit of bronzer, eyebrows, full smoky eye (with eyeliner), and a soft nudey pink lip (not Cherry in the Snow pink). I revel in taking it off at the end of two hours because ahhhhhhhhh, too much makeup for me now! Let my skin just breathe!
I finally ran out of UD foundation which is thankfully a good thing because it has dimethicone in it and my skin just doesn’t like dimethicone/silicones anymore. The hunt is on for a dimethicone-free, close to vampire pale foundation. I expect it will be expensive and a laughably small pool of candidates.
Christine says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
Yes and no – we certainly look alike, though! I’ve two brothers (I’m in the middle and we are many years apart each way) and I think they are much more alike than I am to them, if that makes sense – but I think we share similar mentalities.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Probably last Sunday – there was absolutely no need to leave the house and it was rainy and cold. So I got up, put on fresh jammies, and stayed in all day.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
Probably my cousin – she can cat eye like no one’s business (and is a Sephora Rouge!) and always looks so glam.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
Wednesday night. We had a huge 400+ person event at work and the account manager for the food vendor we used stashed some mini cupcakes behind my desk for me & the team I’m on because she knew we were a bit stressed and rather tired.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
70 miles – that was during college when I decided to officially move to Chicago. Not super far, but far enough! 😉
Karen says
Hi Christine,
How did the event go? It sounds like it was a big deal; I hope everything went smoothly.
This is kinda off topic, but we were talking about kitchen faucets a while back… Thanks again for recommending the Glacier Bay faucet. It was on our short list (LOL!) but ultimately we ended up going with a Moen one instead. I’m weirdly excited about this, because as an adult I’ve never had to pick out my own kitchen faucet before.
Hoping you had a wonderful Monday!
Christine says
Oh the event…went. It was chaotic – I’m part of facilities and didn’t have anything to do with the planning or coordination of the event (thank goodness) but our team’s job was to “defend the office” as my boss put it…make sure no damage happened and to put the place back together.
New kitchen faucets are awesome! It almost makes you excited to wash dishes…almost. 😉

I’m an only child, but my parents dog has my exact personality, which is terrifying but she’s cute.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
Yesterday
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
Me, but most of my friends come close.

The last time I remember was the day after the 2016 election, i was getting out of my car and there were college girls with signs that offered hugs if people were sad.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
Nowhere, i’ve lived in the same town my whole life.

1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike? My brother and I are pretty much nothing alike… we share a love of Seinfeld, but that’s about it.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas? My last school break back in February. I stayed in pajamas all day and it was all snowy and awesome and I didn’t have to leave the house.
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup? I do. I don’t wear much, but most of my friends and family don’t wear any… I think one friend wears lipstick but otherwise I guess we’re a low maintenance bunch.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug? I don’t think I’ve ever hugged a stranger!
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved? So far, about 100 miles from where I grew up. BUT I’m about to move 900 miles away in a couple months. I’m super excited!
Amy says
1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
Yes and no! Physically, yes. Mentally, the range is from somewhat alike to radically different.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
I used to do this a lot when we lived in rural NH and I’d go days in winter without seeing anyone except the five people in the village we saw every day (who were also in uniforms or pajamas). But lately… can’t remember!
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
My older sister.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
I don’t recall, but it wouldn’t be unusual for me to hug another lady I just met. Occasionally a gent if I don’t get a creepy feeling.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
Oh my. Where to start. When I was 24, I took a Greyhound from Detroit to Seattle. We were snowbound in Fargo for two days and the guy sitting next to me taught me how to play Blackjack (without the betting). The longest moves were Boston to SF, then LA to Boston about ten years later!

1. No, since they are all male and I am female. I got the highest IQ and the truest moral compass. I’m also the only one who got premature gray hair.
2. Probably as a very small child. No matter how awful I feel, I change to streetwear even if I’m not going to leave the house.
3. Some people I work with wear a lot of makeup. One who should know better has been lining her eyes with too much black, and she doesn’t even do it very well.
4. Never.
5. Probably my infant move from Maryland to Texas. Followed by my two childhood moves from TX to CA and back.

1. Are you and your siblings a lot alike?
Not at all. I’m the youngest of six and we are all very very different.
oddly enough, even tho I’m the youngest I have been told I am the bossiest and the one who wants to steer the ship. mom and dad think I am just the responsible one that likes to plan ahead. I’ll go with that.
2. When was the last time you spent a whole day in your pajamas?
two weekends ago I was sick as a dog and spent all day in bed watching netflix. I went through a whole season of Mrs. Maisel and then about 4 episodes of Velvet Coleccion. *(ps. you would love both.)
3. Among your current circle of friends and family, who wears the most makeup?
hmm surprisingly not me. I have a couple of friends who go all out with eye makeup. as many palettes as I have, I am more of a lipstick kinda girl. once my lipstick is on, I just need mascara and I’m good to go.
4. Last time you gave a stranger a hug?
about a month ago I flew to visit my family. the person sitting next to me on the plane told me about her life story and the loss that she had experience. It touched me so much that it made ME cry to hear everything she had been through. she ended up comforting me and when we got off the plane and parted ways I gave her a big hug for being so kind to me.
5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved? oh about 2026 miles! for college. I moved from Central America to the US. That was 13 years ago. I still go back to visit as often as I can but not sure if I will ever move back. sometimes I think it will never happen, sometimes I think maybe eventually… who knows?

5. What’s the furthest you’ve ever moved?
