Just in Case You Ever NEED Your Toenails Clipped at the Airport…

September 25th, 2010 by Karen 20 Comments

When I was waiting for my flight out of San Francisco, I passed something I’d never seen before in an airport at a little spa called Xpress.

They offer the usual spa services like massages, manicures, pedicures, stuff like that, but also something that was a regular kick in the pants. They’ll even clip your toenails…for $15 (on top of the cost of a foot massage). Fo’ serious! You REALLY gotta have scary long toenails to spend $15 to have ’em cut at an airport, LOL! I’d rather wait till I arrived at my destination and buy a $3 pair of clippers.

Hmm, I wonder if the TSA ever orders people to do it. Yeah, that would be a little embarrassing. 🙂

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

P.S. Zzzz… It’s just after 11:30PM here, and tomorrow’s the day of the big show. Time for sleep!

Me neither! I might’ve done it if I didn’t already have my toenails done. 🙂

No kidding. I don’t even want to think of how long some of those toenails are.

You’re so funny! Come to think of it, I can never relax before a flight. I’m fine once I’m in the chair and buckled in, but I’m always paranoid about not being able to get on the plane on time!

That’s funny. It’s probably for men with pedicure envy. Ha!

If you look closely at the top pic you can actually see a dude laying down and getting his foot massage on! I should’ve asked him if he paid the $15 for the toenail clipping service, ha!

Hahaha-that’s funny! And you can only get then clipped if you get them massaged first!

Weird, right? What if you just wanted a plain old toenail clipping without the massage? They should hook that up, LOL!

Isn’t that normally included in a standard pedicure? Weird.

Can you imagine the discussion that must have taken place about pricing this service? Should it be a flat $1.50 per toe or should we tier it based on the size of the customer’s toe claws? Aw, to heck with it. Let’s just charge them 15 bucks and call it a day. Yeah, and make them get the massage too. 🙂

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
