Is There a Benefit Product You Can’t Live Without?

February 25th, 2010 by Karen 70 Comments

Dear Benefit:

I would if you ever discontinued Creaseless Cream Liner in Birthday Suit ($19).

So don’t. 🙂

Yours in perpetuity,

Karen

On me (NC35) this shimmery champagne cream shadow is like getting three extra hours of shuteye, and I can even apply it without a brush, haaay! Ah, to be a lazy makeup beast…

How about you? Is there a Benefit product you can’t live without?

Creaseless Cream Eyeshadow in Sambady Loves Me and Sippin N’ Dippin! They are so great for lighting up my eyes. Birthday Suit is a big winner too!

I do love Benefit, but haven’t used a product of theirs that I can’t live without.

If MAC discontinued the MSF Natural, I would throw the hissyfit of all hissyfits!

I luuuuurv dandelion. It’s the perfect pink with *just* enough warmth. Perfect for a natural flush. I actually lost mine about a year ago 🙁 boo! Someday soon, though, I will replace it. That stuff is muy awesome. One of my favorite things about benefit in general is that their products give such a natural “glow” to your face. Love it!

Also, have you tried the depuffing action eye gel? That stuff is FREAKING MAGIC. I think it might be my favorite product of all time.

    Oh Karen,
I wore this same shade on my lids with soba as my crease – a little UD bourbon on my lower lash line lots of mascara and I looked awake while moving into a new house! I’m a NC42 and this also works very well on my skintone. Yeah I couldn’t live without their creaseless shadows. LOVE birthday suit, honey bunny and skinny jeans (a must for me when i do grey smoky eyes)

I am loving the Silky Finish lipsticks by Benefit (OK, I only have one, but I love it and plan on getting more colors!). In my opinion, it’s a cross between a lipstick and a lipgloss, which I love. I would be very disappointed if they discontinued this product.

I’m new to benefit – thanks to you Karen, but I use a cream shadow almost everyday. I have it in: honey bunny, recess and for this summer sippin’ n dippin’. I also bought Coralista but am waiting to use it once I’m tan. I’ve tried a couple of their lipsticks though and they aren’t my fav. I’m holding on to thrillin’ brazilian and hoping that I like it for summer, but I’ve already ordered a Smashbox coral lipgloss just in case.

Benefit already discontinued my favorite product, a lipstick I actually bought THREE times and used ALL of each tube (this is unheard of, for me). It was before they changed their formula and went for the three-girls line. (Hate both developments, by the way. Why did they change their formula? It was awesome! Now it dries out my lips and smells like my grandmother.) Anyway, the shade was “um, um, uh…” (no, I haven’t forgotten, that’s really the name). I’ve been searching for the perfect dupe ever since, and no luck, alas. Anybody have know of a good dupe for this color?

I have three Benefit products that I use regularly — BeneTint and PosieTint — they last FOREVER!!!

And the Creaseless Cream Liner in Strut – which I can use as a good smokey eye base or even by itself with just a bit of highlight.

I reach for these three things almost everyday!!!

Honestly I don’t use that many benefit products, but I do love Posietint… it’s such a sweet pink, and pigmented enough that you don’t need tons of layers, but not so pigmented that it’s easy for blush n00bs (I can’t believe I just wrote that xD) like me to make mistakes.

IMPORTANT QUESTION about Birthday Suit! Does yours smell kinda… off? I actually tossed one because it had a weird smell, and then I repurchased and… the SAME weird smell was there, just fainter in the new one. I have a couple other creaseless cream shadows (Skinny Jeans, Recess, Bunny Hop) and only Birthday Suit has the weird smell!
