I’ve often wondered how it would feel to look like a scoop of pistachio ice cream, and now, thanks to Baby Girl and this green sweater, I know. ??
That cute little bump from four weeks ago isn’t so little anymore, thanks to all the growing BG has done over the last month! I think I read somewhere that pregnant ladies are supposed to put on something like a pound a week in the third trimester… She’s 32 weeks now and about the size of a head of lettuce, but I feel like I’m hauling around a watermelon strapped to my tum.
I spend a lot of time wondering about her personality and what she’ll look like. Will she be outgoing like me, or will she be more introverted like El Hub (or a diva like Tabs)? Will her eyes be brown like mine, or will they be hazel like El Hub’s?
And what about her toes? I hope they’re long and maneuverable like mine. I can pick things up with them like little monkey paws, which comes in quite handy when I want to pick stuff up off the floor!
I also really, REALLY hope she gets El Hub’s eyelashes, because if she does, she’ll have hit the eyelash holy grail, because his are long, thick and curly (and, of course, because he’s a guy, he doesn’t appreciate them at all, sigh).
It’s fun to think about these things, but what I mostly do now is just hope for the best. When I finally get to meet her, more than anything else, I hope she’s healthy. That’s the only thing I really want.
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

Thank you, Leslie! 🙂

Karen you look beautiful! Love the green (is it grren? blue? teal?) top you are wearing in this photo! I had my baby girl at 33 weeks due to preeclampsia, she is 18 months now, and also snoozing away in her bed lol. Will you announce her name once she is born? I’m sure she will be beautiful like you and best friends with Tabs!
Kate & Zena says
You look pretty, Karen! I love that color on you! I hope your last weeks are as stress-free as possible.
Tatiana says
You look beautiful. What’s up with guys and eyelashes? My husband also has long dark lashes and doesn’t understand the fuss. At least my daughter inherited his lashes. I hope you have an easy delivery. Pretty sure baby girl will be so beautiful!

So so so happy to see this, Karen! You look beautiful!

You look great! It’s hard to believe you’re already at 32 weeks.
My brother has long, thick, curly lashes and glossy brown-black hair that falls into perfect loose spiral curls. It’s just not fair, I tell you.
Eesha says
You look great Karen and all the very best for your delivery XX
Hope to see baby Karen soon 🙂

The growth in the last few weeks is really impressive, and sadly the back pain grows with every inch as well.
You look very pretty.

As a parent of children with disabilities, I count among my friends those with kids who have chronic health issues. I just wanted to let you know that whether or not your baby is born healthy, you will still experience love and joy, and your child will, too. Sending every best wish to you and your family!
Juvy says
You’re absolutely glowing!
Renee says
You look beautiful! I know I have never met you, but you will be a great mom! And whatever combinations she gets between the two of you will be perfect. 🙂 Good luck with your delivery! And I don’t know if I speak for anyone else but don’t stress yourself too much trying to blog a lot of stuff because of us…we understand, you are pregnant! You are allowed rest! We’ll still be here when you get back, promise! 🙂
Ruchita says
Karen, you look so beautiful and radiant! That sweater is so gorgeous on you. I’m so excited for you and El Hub! Praying that the rest of the pregnancy and delivery go smoothly. 🙂

You look beautiful! Sorry I haven’t been able to comment much – I have been keeping up with your posts and on Facebook. Work has been very busy and with all of the studying I have to do I don’t have much time for leisurely things like reading and commenting on my fave blogs. I cannot wait to follow you and baby girl’s progress over the next months and years.
Chelsea says
You are the cutest scoop of pistachio ice cream I’ve ever seen!
Glad BG seems to be doing well! I got to play with my friend’s 7 month old Katherine last weekend, who is a total sweetie, and just the cutest little baby. Plus one of my best friends is due in July, and my niece I think is about as far as you! So many babies.

U look soo cute.. i like the green top..

She looks like she’s ready to pop. It’s crazy to think you still have 2 months to go! But you look absolutely beautiful! And it’s def fun to think of what she will look like, I cannot wait to see her! Have you picked the name yet?

Fingers crossed for the hubby’s lashes then! Belly’s looking good, Karen 😀

You look amazing!

You look so cute and I love the image of pistachio ice cream, even though it is not a favorite of mine. I can’t believe you are so close to becoming a mom. It is the best role ever! Just please, please get your rest. It is a little rough the first few months. You’ll be fine.
Jennifer says
Guuuurrrrrrl, you are so pregnant! But you look fabulous and you’re wearing the bump well. That’s a great color for you too.
What kind of denim are you wearing? They look much more stylish than any maternity jean I’ve ever seen.
I’m so excited for you guys. You’re just going to love being a mom. My son is definitely the best thing I’ve ever done (and we’re going through the pesky middle school years so that’s saying a lot).
I will tell you not to hold out hope for her eyelashes. Men are the only ones born with good eyelashes. It’s really a law of nature.
Susan says
You look great! I concur with Jane – enjoy the rest you get now, because the first few months can be tough. It is all totally worth it, and most important thing to remember is “nothing last forever” – not good things like tiny baby fingers & toes and that wonderful feeling of being able to snuggle them close to you; and the not so good things, like middle of the night feedings, or the tiny voice announcing they are displeased with something. So live in the moment and enjoy and appreciate it all, because time really does seem to fly once you’re a parent.

I’m loving your glow, Karen (and I’m sure that’s not all from makeup)! So many (ok just 2 so far) of my favorite bloggers are pregnant (the other one is Melissa Bender of Bender Fitness) and looking fabulous at it. Thank you for the exciting update!
Daniela says
Karen, I’m 100% sure she will exceed all your expectations and hopes.
Glenda says
This is such a sweet little cute post, Karen. She will be the healthiest baby girl on the planet, I bet! And very loved too, for sure. 😉
Btw, you look great as a pistachio ice cream, hehe.
Thanks for replying to my question the other post, it’s really nice of you. I’m still undecided between the two lipsticks, but that’s just who I am.
Best wishes for you and your cute growing family (including Tabs!)

You look great Karen!
What have been your favorite maternity clothes? Any suggestions for sleepwear or leggings? I’ve been loving the Victoria’s Secret leggings which are not maternity but thinking I should get some maternity ones for when I start getting bigger and for post pregnancy.
Also have been wanting to ask you i know there’s still some time to go but are going to talk about your must have and favorite post pregnancy and newborn stuff after baby girl arrives? I’m about 8 weeks behind you so I have really been loving all of your pregnancy related posts:)
One more thing I wanted to tell you! Have you checked out Violet bowtique? I started following her on Instagram long before getting pregnant so when I found out I was having a girl, I immediately ordered a bunch of bows! She makes the cutest hair bows/headbands.
Shadowy_lady says
awesome so excited for you Karen 🙂 I always wondered about our daughter’s looks and personality too when I was pregnant. Especially since we’re a mixed race couple. I tell you that I have hazel eyes and hubby dark brown. Our daughter got his eye colour but my eye shape. She also got my extroverted personality.
Best of luck with the rest of pregnancy, delivery and more than all post delivery 😉
Stephanie says
The color looks great on you. I agree with what everyone else has said, you’re glowing and look amazing.
Side note, I just discovered CatLadybox, which is a subscription box for crazy cat ladies. It’s really cute, they have coasters shaped like a cat head and cat mugs. I think Tabs would approve.

Let’s try this: GOSH, you ARE precious! The word “ate” slipped out…ahhh, so sorry for THAT word! 😉

Looking good! Hot mama! I’m sure some guys see you walk by and think, “What a MILF!” 😉
(Nobody says that to me as I’m wearing dirty…everything, running after and yelling at my three year old while holding the crying one year old.)
