7 Ways to Win a $50 eGift Card From Sephora! (Ends Monday)

February 7th, 2015 by Karen 322 Comments

Win a $50 Sephora e-gift card from Makeup and Beauty Blog

Rise and shine, morning glory! Guess who actually got some sleep. Yup, yours truly, so I feel about 900 times better today.

It was pouring rain last night, but the sun is out again this morning. It looks like it’s going to be a fantabulous day. I might even have a cup of actual coffee instead of Throat Coat or Theraflu.

Heck, I may even venture outside… Ooh! — dare to dream, LOL! 🙂

In other news, what do you think about this for a side project: a 6-foot-tall wooden kitty condo wrapped in chicken wire for the deck, so that Tabs can chill out for short breaks under the stars (and I don’t have to worry about him running into any hungry coyotes)? I’d need El Hub’s help to cut the wood because I’m not a Miss Power Tools, but what do you think? If you were a tabby…would you like a kitty condo like that?

Must plan…

Good luck in the giveaway. I’ll talk to you soon.

Win a $50 gift card from Sephora

  • One (1) Sephora eGift card containing $50 sent to the winner by email (international readers, you may opt to receive $50 sent by PayPal instead).

    • Valentine’s Day: thumbs up or thumbs down?
    • What’s your current favorite makeup look?
    • Have you ever built anything with power tools?
    • Something you’re building up the courage to do?
  • You can enter in up to seven ways to boost your chances of winning.
  • The giveaway ends on Monday, February 9, 2015 at 11:59 PM (Pacific Time). 🙂
  • Full terms and conditions are available in the widget.

      Hi Agata!

I think so too. He loves spending time outside, but I don’t know if he’ll think it’s too small. I don’t want to make it too big, though, because we don’t have a lot of room.

I’m definitely feeling better, thank you. How are things going with you? What are you up to this weekend?

Well, his choice- no outdoor condo or a small one 🙂 I know he has big needs though, lol!

Other than obviously working, I hope to go to the gym and I have to pick up a few props from Hobby Lobby for a blog post/shoot. I am super excited about it! Oh and packing my husband for his trip to Florida- he will be gone all week ;-(

Did I tell you we are going to Vegas in a month? I am so stoked for this! Also getting my hair done and cut next week, super excited for it too!

Oh my word. I have tried to learn to read music & for some reason, it just doesn’t stick! Fortunately, I can learn by ear. I used to sing in a choir & also a smaller ensemble at my previous church & I miss it…singing by myself in the car, while quite entertaining, is not the same as singing with others.

I don’t particularly care about Valentine’s day…I never celebrated it as a child, nor did anyone around me, so I don’t have any real feelings about it. Same goes for Halloween: never celebrated it as a child, so it has no real meaning for me.

As I’m growing older, I’m finding that the holidays that I celebrated as a kid are still the most important ones to me.

It sounds clownish, but it’s actually a very fresh, very pretty look (I think, lol). 😀

I’ve really been loving my Naked on the Run palette. I received it for Christmas but just started using it recently. I used to just buy every new palette that comes out even tho I’m mostly comfortable sticking to a more neural eye look. Occasionally I’ll add a pop of color but I don’t get crazy with color all over my eye. So now I have a bunch of palettes that I’ll barely tuck into bc they’re all bright colors. Oh well! At least now I know only to buy palettes that I’ll actually make use of!

I can read music! My mom started me with piano lessons when I was about 4. I wanted to quit many times, but she wouldn’t let me, and now I’m grateful I stuck with it! It’s cool to be able to sit down and play through most any song (although sometimes slowly and badly).

Absolutely no to Valentine’s Day. It just seems like the flower industry, the candy industry, the jewelry industry, Hallmark, and every single restaurant got together and said “What can we use as an excuse to make people spend yet more money they don’t have?”

I’m happily married, and have had a great dating life. I ain’t got no issues with Valentines. What’s not to love about love! If you don’t have a significant other, go celebrate the love of friends or family with them!
I have built pre-made furniture with power tools, but that’s about it.
I am enjoying the more natural look that’s in style now. I still do HAC, but I’m keeping my eyes simple. But I am loving dark lipsticks, which is totally a first for me! 😀

We had a cat run at our first rental, and our kitty loved it! Since then we’ve had 6ft fences at all our rentals, so we’ve just let him roam around the yard. He loved the cat run when we had it though, becaus it meant he could let himself out whenever he wanted (we didnt have to be at home to do the door!).

But it’s not every day you can show someone special just how you feel and Valentine’s day allows you to do that. Whether it’s your family, friends or yourself.

Valentine’s Day… I am not a fan. I feel like it’s so forced. I’d rather have cute little notes or acts of love done randomly, not just on a certain because we’re told its cute. I can’t wait til it’s past Febuary 14th.

So many years of depression left me pretty apathetic about just about everything. It’s on a larger scale because of her many cats but they all loved going out there to soak up the sun when she wasn’t home to keep an eye on them. They *really* live out in the sticks with tons of woods and wildlife so it gave her peace of mind. 🙂

I’m searching for a good serum/skincare regimen that corrects hyper-pigmentation and acne scars, any advice?

Love Valentine’s Day, always have, even when I’ve been sans boy or man 🙂
I always give my girlfriends chocolates and I always celebrate, even when I’ve been single.

I think Valentine’s day can be for everyone you love. Not just couples.

Not a huge fan of Valentine’s day since it’s right before my birthday, making it very hard to go to a restaurant of my choice,

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
