hillary-duff

I’m a sucker for Cinderella stories, pink and prettily packaged products like Hilary Duff’s Wrapped With Love perfume.

Huzzah to Lizzie McGuire for the floral design on the bottle. It gives it such a flirty, feminine flair that reminds me of spring.

Picture it sitting atop your dresser…

Yup, I think it’s time for another giveaway. 🙂

The prize

One lucky lady will take home a bottle of Hillary Duff’s Wrapped With Love perfume (a $38 value).

Wrapped With Love will envelop you in fruity honeydew, violet, raspberry, vanilla and white chocolate mousse, yum!

How to enter…

2ways2enterEntering is easy. There are two different ways, and you can do both of them for two chances to win.

First, you can enter by leaving a comment at the bottom of this post — in it, tell me the name of your favorite fairy tale.

You always come up with the hardest questions to answer.
😉 I’m a huge fan of fairy tales, but I usually like the originals and modern re-tellings, instead of the Disney versions. I think I have to pick Beauty & the Beast, since Beauty was brave enough to go in her father’s place back to the beast’s home. I mean, the only things she was guilty of was loving & missing her father so much and then getting distracted enough by her family to be late getting back to the beast.

Actually, a part of one of my favorite books has Rumplestiltskin in it. A woman gets into a binding contract with him to sell some sort of Mary Kay like makeup line and to get out of it, she has to guess his Social Security number instead of his name. 😀 It’s called Elf Defence by Esther Friesner and it may be hard to find, but it has some very funny moments in it.

hmm…favorite fairytale? I’m going to have to say the ones that happen after we watch a certain movie. The fairytales that we imagine ourselves in, manipulating the characters to fit our own stories and the end result becomes our very own fairytale (with the inspiration of others). Those are the best ones!

But, fairytale as far as one that is already done? I’d have to go with Peter Pan or sword in the stone. They’re pretty much out of this world! 🙂

I’ve always had a thing for Princess Aurora, so Sleeping Beauty. I also have loved ballet since I was a wee thing and I’ve also wanted to be the swan in Swan Lake, and Giselle from the ballet Giselle.

After reading a bunch of Grimm’s Fairy Tales for a class, I have to say the Little Mermaid, despite the sad ending. =(

Oh my, I have to say Cinderella, and it is my daughter’s favorite too! I can still remember Leslie Ann Warren playing Cinderella and I just used to watch it over, and over, and over again! My daughter also loves Thumbelina, which is so old, maybe no one here has heard of it, but it was my mother’s favorite fairy tale, then she passed it down to me to watch, and now my daughter loves it as well. The tape is so old that it skips and whites out when we play it, and we can’t find it anywhere in the stores or online to replace! Anyways, thanks for letting me relive some fond memories!

    Karen,
I entered the contest and everyone that I know has laughed at me saying Jack & Jill. This is I know not a fairytale but it is my fairytale in life. My husband and I are high school sweethearts never dated anyone else and dated 2 1/2 yrs before graduating. I married him 5 days after graduation. In the 31yrs that we have been married my husband has been in the hospital over 24 times, he has had many surgeries, struck by lightening, bit by a snake and viral minigitis. He has always fell down but I always came tumbling after him. So if people want to laugh they may but this is my fairy tale for not many people could go through all of this in life and still be standing. He is my heart and soul.

Prince Charming— I am adding a realing fairytale. Ever since I met my husband which was in the Library of our High School. He swept me away. It was love at first sight. We met when I was 15 and he was 16 we had never dated anyone else. That is very special to me. We went together 2 1/2 yrs through school and our theme for Prom was Stairway to Heaven. Five days after graduation we married on 6/18/78 and have been together ever since. We aos celebrate our first anniversary 2-6-76 our first date every year. He is my Prince Charming.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
