10 Days of Giveaways: Comment to Win a T3 Featherweight Dryer!

September 25th, 2009 by Karen 263 Comments

The giveaway is now closed, and I’m contacting the winner by e-mail. Good luck!

t3 featherweight dryer

It may not have been wrenched from a stone like Arthur’s Excalibur, but the T3 Featherweight Hair Dryer feels that enchanted to me. When it entered my life two years ago (like mana from heaven!), it changed my life forever!

This thing isn’t merely a gizmo or an electronic doohickey. It’s mythic — an object worthy of flat-out worship. 🙂

t3-giveaway-i-can't-live
Why? Because of how much time it saves.

Drying my mane with my old broke-ass hairdryer used to take me 45 minutes, at least, but the T3 cuts that down to 15. 15!

To me, it’s one of those rare beauty products that totally lives up to the hype.

Every half an hour it saves is an extra half an hour to sleep, to plot world domination or to drool over, say, Agent Ballard.

agent-ballard-you-so-foin-1

Not only does it dry hair like greased lightning, it’s super quiet (shhh…) and barely weighs a thing.

This month the T3 line celebrates their five-year anniversary, so let’s join the party with a giveaway!

The prize

Thanks to the good folks at T3, one lucky lady will take home a T3 Featherweight Dryer ($180 value).

How to enter…

2ways2enterEntering is easy. There are two different ways, and you can do both of them for two chances to win.

First, you can enter by leaving a comment at the bottom of this post — in it, tell me why you’d like a T3 in your life. 🙂

I use some of the time it saves me to watch brainless, mind-numbing reality television — the kind of television that’s good for my soul.

Second, enter by following me on Twitter and retweeting (RT) the following message:

I’d like the T3 because my hair is longer than Rapunzel’s (ok, slight exaggeration) and it would cut my blow dry time in half which would give me more time to chase my 3 year old nephew around my room to stop him from putting on my blush. 🙂

I don’t just want, I NEED the T3 in my life! I have super thick, wavy ethnic hair and I have to spend hours blow drying and then flat ironing to get it to look decently smooth. I just invested in a really good flat iron not too long ago which helped cut down my flat iron time, and having a professional hair dryer would complete my morning hair drying regiment. The extra time saved would be extra time my fiance would NOT be asking “are you ready yet?”

I have been lusting after a T3 dryer for a while. My thick hair takes forever to dry and I’d love to reclaim that time and be able to exercise more, pack a healthy lunch, sleep, hang with friends, or any other of the more valuable uses of my time I can think of.

I have hair down to my waist that I have to wash every morning (or it’s gross :-/) and I have to dry it every morning because it has no even texture…some parts of my hair pouf, others curl, and others stick straight out when I let it air dry. This dryer would mean I could eat breakfast more often lol

There are three ladies in our home: myself, and my 8 and 5 year olds. In the mornings now, not only does mom have to do her hair and face, but so do the mini-me’s. I’m certainly not complaining here: I think every young lady should know the in’s and out’s of great fashion and beauty. Being raised primarily by my father, I was a late bloomer. 🙂 The down-side? Sometimes I feel like I don’t have enough time for my own beauty routine. A T3 would be a GREAT addition to our mostly-female household, and may give mom a few more minutes of primping! 😉

If I lose any more, I’m gonna have to cough up a hair ball. What more fantastic way to save what I’ve got than minimizing my time under the gun! The T3 is the Abe Froman of hair dryers. Hey Karen!

Honestly… this is embarrassing… umm… I am still using this hair dryer that my little sister got when she was four. It is a mini-Conair Little Mermaid print dryer that barely fits in my hand but I haven’t had any problems with it for the last 10 years! It still blow dries my hair okay and does not give me any frizz!

But, I would LOVE to try a T3! I have heard many great things about their flat irons but you know, there are so many models to choose from in the hair tool department, I never knew which one to get!

This would be a great way to try something new and amazing!

    Thanks a lot Karen!
You are a fantastic person and I thank you for creating this blog for us! 😉

Let me be the 1st to say that watching a 1 1/2 year old run around a room he’s not supposed to be in (Mommy & Daddy’s) while I’m trying to blow dry my hair, especially with such a short cord, is NOT easy!!!

I’d really love this for my mom. She started losing her hair after her first perm, which went awry. She can’t rub/brush/blow dry or it’ll cause her to lose more hair and it’s been like this for over 30 years. I’ve never even heard of the T3 but I figure if it’s really that lightweight, maybe I can make her feel better about her hair loss.

I have a ridiculous amount of hair on my head. We’re talking hair model amounts. It takes HOURS UPON HOURS for it to dry. Unfortunately, I really suck at using styling tools, and I’m really skinny (don’t hate me — I eat and eat but always end up losing whatever I gain within a couple weeks) so I think a lighter hairdryer would really help me cut down my drying time. Pleeeeease?

I would LOVE the T3! Not only is my hair in an awkward growing out stage (and a weird, thick, wavy mess…) I don’t have a lot of time to style- I’m 37 weeks pregnant and my in-laws are due in town the DAY AFTER my due date. I’ll need to have something that can cut down on the styling time, make me feel like a human being and is relatively quiet so I don’t wake up the baby (or the husband, who works nights…or the in-laws…) Please help, Karen!

Love, Love your blogs. I would love to win a new dryer because I just turned 50 and I need all the help I can get. I had breast cancer 9 yrs ago, yea, I am a survivor, and I lost all my hair. When my hair grew back, it was curly and frizzy and then 2 yrs later became straight and fine. Now, with age, my hair is thinning and like I said I need all the help I can get. I’ve always had long hair, up until the chemo and grew my hair back to my shoulders but it doesn’t look as good as it did when I was younger. I’m an so hoping that this dryer will add some oomph to my aging hair. I’ve often thought many times about purchasing this dryer but unfortunately its not in my budget.

    45 minutes? Karen it takes me about an hour and 15 because I have to section and the only way my hair doesn’t look afro-tastic is if I use a large round brush. If I had eight arms and wasn’t cramming in the last few minutes of sleep before my 9am class in the morning, I wouldn’t mind it but obviously that isn’t possible.     reasons why i NEED a T3;
-i have been using my dad’s hair dryer, which he uses to dry paint on canvas. MY HAIR ALWAYS SMELLS LIKE PAINT. the fumes are probably dangerous too.
-i share a bathroom with my little brother, and he’s always asleep when i get out of the shower, so i end up waking him up with the LOUD PAINT-SMELLING ancient hair dryer.
-i really hate my hair right now : ( i had to cut off my dreads, so now i have a total hack job of a bob, and if i dont dry it it looks like i stuck my tongue in an electrical socket.

I have the T3 curling iron, and I love it. I wonder if the hair dryer is just as good as my curling iron?!

I have broken way too many dryers too count. Why does my long hair get caught in the dryer turning the dryer into a smoking fryer.

oh my goodness, i’ve never wanted to win one of your giveaways more! i’ve been wanting this blow
dryer forevvvver and got 10x more excited about it when i read your review. i take so long to get
ready, everyone’s always mad at me and that makes me upset cause i really try not to drag so much
and make everyone late for everything. the two things that take up my time is my hair and makeup.
i have really bad skin i’ve been trying to clear up for years so i’ll just have to wait on that one,
but a better blow dryer would help me save time. im nauseous in the morning (its been that way since
i was in kindergarten) and it makes me feel much worse hanging my head upside down to dry it.
it takes forever and it takes even longer because i have to take frequent breaks because i can only
hold my dryer for so long til i can’t stand the pain anymore. i know the t3 will take better care of
my long (close to my belly button) frizzy hair than my cheap conair with a broken straightening
attatchment that falls off every ten seconds. i used my cousins t3 dryer once (not this kind though) and it left my hair so silky i harldy needed to straighten it. not at all the way my hair turns out now- dry frizzy poofy- horribly ugly. i can’t afford to buy a new dryer, and i wont get one
for christmas becuase my father could buy it but he’s a drunk selfish prick who spends his money on
various alcohol and tvs for his room and his garage and dvd players to match. he hasnt bought me
clothes in years, he wont even buy my little sister clothes. he hardly goes grocery shopping and we
frequently don’t have bread and basic essentials. since he’s so selfish my mom spends the
little extra money she has (she works at target) on me and my sister making sure we have food and
shampoo to wash our hair etc. so i’m not even going to ask for it from her, i don’t think she can
afford it and if she can i’d feel too guilty and have her take it back. i got so excited when i saw
this giveaway, but now im kind of mad because i really feel i just got my hopes up. i’ve never
won any of your giveaways and reality is setting in, i’ll keep my fingers crossed anyway.
again, never wanted to win a giveaway more and i would be sooooooooo extremely happy and grateful if you
picked me! i hope i’v entered this in time. i don’t know what time PST is and i wanted to do this
earlier but i’ve been sick for a week now and i’ve been puking and passing out all day. i wish i felt
better already. please pick me karen, i’d love to win this, it would make my life so much easier and everyone else wouldn’t be so angry with me all the time. sorry, i know there’s spelling errors (and like i said im sick so i hope these sentences make sense, i know i’ve written a lot and sorry if i repeat but this is really hard to type at the moment but i need to get my entry in, i have to try)
but i’m starting to feel worse and i want to get this in on time (whenever that may be). please please
pick me and give tabs a hug and kiss for me, he’s such a handsome kitty, how lucky you found him. unfortunatley, my mom hates cats (how is that possible???), but have a good day and don’t get sick!
i don’t know about you but everyone’s getting sick over here.

I wake up at 5am to teach 36 15 year olds about the world at 7am. All 37 of us are grouchy and awake earlier than we need to be. The blow dryer would be awesome to have because then I don’t have to wake up AS early to get to them and if I’m happy everyone is happy! =)

Plus I’ve got that sorta wavy sort of not wavy Filipino hair! An awesome blow out is a must to start the day off all fly =)

I’m so glad I saw this in the 11th hour! My hair dryer finally went kaput this week and I’ve been using a TRAVEL dryer … I would love to have such a nice replacement dryer! Thank you for your consideration. 🙂

My old hair dryer broke recently and now only works on the ‘cold’ setting, which takes forever, not to mention that I have very flat hair so this T3 could really help me get some volume!

If I had a T3 in my life, I’d be able to dry my long hair much, much faster with much less frizz that I get now with my other hair dryer. Man, with my amazing frizz-free hair, I’d be able to concentrate on more important things.. like school! studying! and homework! aha…

It takes me 2.5 hours to wash, condition, blow dry and then I have to follow-up with a flat iron to make my hair manageable. It takes a big chunk out of my day. If you can achieve your lovely hair in 15 mins then I want in on time saving too.

I’d love to own a T3. I’d use my extra time to read more Makeup and Beauty blog of course (ha ha!). Seriously, I’d use the time to do more volunteer work – I’m training to be a meditation instructor and would love some extra time to train emergency responders in my area. Thanks for offering the giveaway!

i would love the t3 blow dryer because the blow dryer that i have is cheap as hell and it takes me seriously an hour to blow dry all my hair but with a good blow dryer i can get more sleep 😉

I’d like a T3 because I don’t currently have a hair dryer so my hair just naturally dries … frizzy.

Hi, I’d like a T3 because I have very thick hair and it usually takes me a long time to make sure that my hair is dry. Usually I’m too lazy to, so I avoid taking showers at night, because whenever I do I end up giving up and going to bed with still-damp hair (and then I get a cold…). With the T3 I wouldn’t have to worry about it and I’d prolly spend less time damaging my hair with the dryer.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
