Would you feel my forehead please? I think I’m running a fever…a spring fever. 🙂
It’s supposed to rain here tomorrow and, yeah, I’m happy about it because we need the water, but the sunny, warm weather we’ve been having has been such a treat.
If there were a doohickey I could press or a gizmo I could use to fast forward through the rest of winter, I wouldn’t mind that at all. Nope. Is there an app for that?
Earlier this afternoon after my hair modeling experience, I swung by the mall (and the MAC counter) in Corte Madera and walked around for a couple minutes enjoying the sun.
When it starts raining tomorrow (if it starts raining tomorrow), I have to remember that spring is right around the corner.
Perfect time to think “spring wardrobe updates.”
That’s what I told myself when I went into Anthropolgie to look at dresses and Nordstrom to see shoes!
The embroidered flowers on this Gathered Vines Tunic by Tiny at Anthro totally reminded me of the spring blossoms I hope to start seeing soon.
I liked this dress. A lot. It was comfy…but I felt a little like I was wearing a table runner from Pier One.
Speaking of comfy, not only did this HD in Paris Cabernet Dress feel as good as a broken-in t-shirt, but it was also ON SALE! Marked down to $69.95 from $118.
I didn’t get it, though. I was just window/dressing room shopping, but I leave the option open to change my mind and go back later this week.
This Bordeaux Textured Tank Dress was soft as a cloud, and I loved the color, but dagnabitt if I didn’t feel like a pumpkin when I slipped it on.
So, maxi dresses.
They’re usually way too long for me, and I feel like I’m a kid who’s just raided her mother’s closest, but this Tasmin Maxi Dress was just the right length for my vertically-challenged frame.
I think the stripes might even make me look a little thinner?! Maybe? That’s probably just wishful thinking.
It’s so hard to resist ruffles like the ones on the sleeves of this Teahouse Dress by Tabitha…
Bonus: it has pockets!
I love the teal and black color combo of this Eva Franco swing dress, but to be honest, I feel like I might be a little too “mature” for it. Maybe if I were a teenager or still in my 20s…
Last, but not least, the lovely Quinby Dress by Weston Wear.
I totally fell in love with this one!
Comfortable? Yes.
Slimming cut? Yes.
Nice little touches to make it seem special? Yes! See the cute cut-out and how the hem dips ever-so-slightly in the back?
CUTE! I plan to stalk it until it goes on sale. 🙂
Of course, I could not forget about shoes, and I saw plenty of cute wedges and gladiator sandals at Nordies.
Anyone else out there caught spring fever yet? And have you found any cute clothes or accessories to treat it with?
Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,
Karen

I like the HD in Paris one on you! Very pretty 🙂 Maybe when i’m a “grown up” i’ll be able to shop at Anthropologie… I’ve always loved their products.

You have a good eye, Karen. All these dresses look very good on you. I don’t even think I have a favorite. They are all so charming.
I like the season we are currently in 🙂 Even if there were some snow flurries, it’s better than biking in the summer heat. Plus biking in the dark with all my lights is fun.

I loved the maxi on you Karen!

Hehe, these dresses are really cute! (I think I know what you mean about the pumpkin, though ;-))
I’m thinging about digging into cuddly sweaters and skinny jeans here, because Autumn’s on the way in this hemisphere!
Erin says
all those anthro dresses were cute!

I really like how the first dress and the “Weston” one look on you!

What a fun post! Did you buy the embroidered dress at Anthro? I loved that one on you, plus I love anything with embroidery. I was just in the store in SF on Market St. and unfortunately, there were no bargains for me. 🙁

This is making me dream of spring, despite the single digit temps! Come on sandals, sundresses, shorts…
Melrose says
Definitely the black and white striped maxi dress! If you pair it with a chunky gold chain necklace, put your hair up in a top knot, and wore flat sandals, you would have the perfect summer look for a lunch out with the girls 🙂

Great outfits, especially the shoes! What camera are using here?
Keep up the great posts!

Those all look great on you! It’s still snowy and cold here but I’m in the mood to purchase spring and summer clothing. 🙂
