I’m Friends with Benefit Hervana — My Partner in This Face of the Day

What’s shakin’, turkey bacon? What have you been up to today? I did some housework, went for a quick run, took care of a few other little errands, and watched a couple movies on TV (but no Muppets yet). And, of course, I played around with makeup, per usual.

I call this here look my “I plan to sit on the couch and watch Clueless on TV” Face of the Day, and that’s exactly what I used it for. 🙂

It’s a big time Benefit look. Just about everything I used is from the line, including the new Benefit Hervana blush, which I really like.

It’s just an easy look with pink cheeks, lips and eyes and a touch of taupe along the lash lines. Purrrfect for watching movies on the couch with your cat.

EYES
  • Benefit Creaseless Cream Shadow/Liner in RSVP (lids)
  • Benefit High Brow (brow bone)
  • Benefit Velvet Eyeshadow in Where There’s Smoke (upper and lower lash lines)
  • Benefit Bad Gal Waterproof Liner (upper and lower waterliners)
  • Benefit They’re Real Mascara (upper and lower lashes)
CHEEKS
  • Benefit Hervana boxed blush (apples)
LIPS
  • Benefit Full Finish Lipstick in Lady’s Choice
  • Benefit Ultra Shines Lipgloss in Foxy Lady

Oh, Tabs also helped me with this. He suggested the taupe. 🙂

Hope you’re having a nice weekend so far.

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

Hervana does look lovely on you; however, I’m not a big fan of Benefit’s square box cardboard packaging. =/

I love the design of it! and it looks nice on you~

I’ve never bought a full size Benefit blush, they’ve been on my list to try for ages. maybe they’ll come out with a min set like they did with their stains and High Beam, so people like me can afford try them too ;3

I set a reminder for Benefit’s sneak preview sale of Hervana! I can’t wait to buy it!! Did you apply it to the apples of your cheeks or did you also extend higher?

Hmm. Colour me intrigued! I was wondering how well Hervana would translate on medium/dark skintones, but it delivers such a lovely flush to your complexion – unexpected, in the best way possible 😉

I may just finally pull the trigger on a Benefit blush with this one. I’m pale & cool-toned, and this looks like it would complement me. It seems like many of their other shades are too warm.

I’ll be in Paris next week and in my beauty-shopping-spree plans there’s a stop at Sephora so I’ll get the chance to look at Hervana closely. It looks like something I could wear.

Tabs and Taupe — best combo ever!

the blush/powder seems a bit cool for me …. but with a nice warm cream base, it will def work!

Def agree w/ Nina; Tabs has great taste. My cats tend to lean towards more pink colors, which I do not care for. Got to get them lessons with Tabs!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
