Wet N Wild Color Icon Trio

June 15th, 2010 by Karen 11 Comments

Wet N Wild Color Icon Trio in Cool as a Cucumber, $3. It’s one of six palettes in the Color Icon Trio collection, and each comes with coordinating shades for the brow bone, crease and eyelid.

Have you tried any of these? What do you think?

I remember Wet N Wild used to a staple here at drug stores but now it is impossible to find! It is nice to see that they have expanded their line but I can’t find anything other than some nailpolish and liners. Boo!

i find wet n wild to have quite some gems for such a dirt cheap drugstore line! i have one of these trios in knock on wood, and i love it! i plan on getting more, probably all of them! haha =]

These trios definately pack in a TON of pigmentation! I have this in knock on wood (pinks and brown) and love it. I was super surprised to find so much pigmentation in such a cheap product! Highly recommend this and am also planning to go back and purchase more especially since i heard one of the trios has a slight stila kitten dupe! 😀

These are amazing! I have two palettes with the 6 eyeshadows (Vanity, Lust) and they are super pigmented for drugstore! Highly recommend these 🙂

Dont have the trios but I do own the palettes (6 colors, lovely pigmentation). I must say W&W has amped up their quality in the past months! The shadows are awesome!

Nice to hear that Wet N wild is so legit… I would think they would just be snuff because of their price. How is there other stuff, besides shadows? I should give them a try.

their other stuff is pretty good, too! some of the things i really like are:
      – lipsticks (especially the new megalast ones that apply with a semi matte finish)
      – lipglosses (anything but the cheapest ones called megaslicks though, don’t like those; i especially like the mega plumps for a nice sheer but good quality gloss)
      – blushes (great pigmentation as well! super soft!)
      – mega glows (pans of i think 4 strips of color; great multitasking product!)
      – creme eyeliner (the one in the pot. there’s only two shades =[ pity, since i find these rival my mac fluidline any day)
      – eye pencil in taupe (great cheap eyebrow tool!)
      – lip liners (the one in #666 is a cult fave!)
      – nail polishes (if you don’t have a particularly hard time with polish lasting, then these are great! i personally love all the nail polish lines!)
      – liquid eyeliners (i have one in black, and it is really really black, and doesn’t budge!)
      – eyeshadows (of course, most people know this already =] IMHO probably the best drugstore eyeshadows you will ever find!)

as you can see, much of wet n wild’s products are really good! the only things really i would pass up are:
      – pencil eyeliners (too hard)
      – mascaras (none are particularly impressive, IMO)

i’ve never tried any of the foundations/tinted moisturizers, so i can’t comment on those. (if anyone else has, let me know what you think?)

hope you try out more of this line! they’ve really stepped up their game!! =D

I have the ColorIcon palette in Greed. 4 of the 6 are very pigmented, while the other 2 are just a bit disappointing. But for $5, I think it’s a great deal ^^

I’m in love with them! In the trios, I have Sweet and Candy and Walking on Eggshells. I also have Lust and Greed.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
