Aw, man! I wish my rotten boss would give me a few days off so I could go to The Makeup Show Los Angeles.

One of these days…

I’ve always wanted to go. They’re these two-day conferences for beauty professionals with seminars and a big exhibit hall filled with beauty brand booths and new products. Attendees get to meet, greet and network with other peeps in the industry.

The shows take place a few times a year in different cities around the country, and the next one happens to be in Los Angeles.

It’s March 28 and 29, and if you’re lucky enough to be going, you have a lot of new beauty to look forward to, including the things listed below…

Sephora Collection Colorful Blush in Over the Moon No 14, Colorful Blush in First It UP No 06, PRO Brush in 73 and Colorful Blush in Im Shocked No 09

I seriously thought the static nails were pistachios at first lol. All I could think was, are pistachios going to be the next “it” ingredient in cosmetics and skincare?

Lots of fun stuff! The MUFE primers look interesting. And I was eyeing the Bioderma too. But I am trying to be kind to my wallet this month lol.

I thought the same thing too! lol I was wondering what pistachios were doing in a makeup blog. I needed a laugh. Lots of good things to check out, oh how my wallet cries.

What a great collection! I don’t know of there are any beauty conventions in my area; I’d love to attend one if it’s open to the public. I’m particularly intrigued by the Ellis Faas lip color & the Bioderma cleansing water.

So many goodies. The Sephora blushes are really pretty. I saw that Stila balm at Ulta and I really liked it. When i lived in Poland Bioderma was the only thing I’d use for years. It’s really good.

Oh, Tabs absolutely must let you go to the Makeup Show! What fun that would be! Dying to try some of those primers and the micellar water (Sephora’s is good, but has more fragrance than my skin really likes).

I got the Sensibio from Beautylish last week! Crazy fast shipping, and way less expensive than I’d been paying for it.

I’m curious about the Stila nude balm. I just got the new Fresh Sugar nude lip balm, and I gotta say, I’m unimpressed.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
