Spring is right around the corner, babe! Out here in Northern California we’re in that in-between stage, where it’s not exactly warm, but not exactly cold, either.
It’s winter-ish, or spring light. I can go outside in jeans, a sweater and flip-flops for a while, but once the sun goes down, the temperature drops.
Still, I can smell spring in the air…and it’s doing a lot for my soul! Everything smells fresh and clean and different — new and green, like the everything is waking up after a long sleep.
We got a lot of much-needed rain over the past week (hence the pics of raindrops in the cobwebs), but not today.
Last weekend I pulled on my (still favorite) Zella hoodie, grabbed my camera and went outside for a quick walk, and it was beyond nice not having to bundle up under 15 layers.
I’m also starting to hear baby birds chirping. 🙂
Yay! Spring is almost here!

Thank ya, Deanna!
I think everyone is a budding photographer. Do you have a phone with a camera? You can always start there. Just keep your eyes open and take pics of whatever moves you. It’s a great way photography training. 🙂

You’re welcome, and thanks for the tip! I recently downloaded the Instagram app (finally!) so I need to start playing around with it more.

I hear ya on the “spring lite.” Even in my own yard I need to have optional layers to wear. We have mature trees that provide a lot of shade and leave me quite chilly. But the sun is hot so wearing sleeves gets uncomfortable. My kids are happy to be outside again and I can always find them in the sunniest patch of our yard 🙂 Lovely photos! Learning to capture water droplets is on my to-do list.

I could stare at these for hours – have you considered making a line of MBB wallpapers/screensavers from your awesome photos and Tabs’ modelling career?

It got up to 53 degrees here today in Michigan, it was so beautiful (I mean, it’s really muddy and wet, but you can see grass and curbs again!). But tonight/tomorrow we’re supposed to get a half a foot of snow. WTF.
Beautiful pictures!
