Shades of Green

November 23rd, 2009 by Karen 14 Comments

I really want an eyeshadow palette made up of these colors!

BTW, to make a yummy salad: chop pears and avocado; toss into a bowl of butter lettuce torn into bite-sized pieces. Squeeze a lime, sprinkle sea salt and pepper, drizzle olive oil on top and toss.

      Hi Anna,

Oh yah! I love those… especially when they’re extra crisp.

I’ve never had a salad with pear before, I need to try it. Avocado is really yummy and good for skin and hair. I love the new blog update, Karen!

I love to wear green eye shadow, especially since my eyes are green. I did see a nice palette with those green veggie tones. At ULTA, they carry Napoleon Perdis’ line and there are about 6 or 7 different palettes. One of them has four tones of green. . . . . Your photo put me in the mood for some homemade guacamole! How about that green. Louise

I’ve been on an obsessive pear-eating habit for the past few weeks, and those are probably the prettiest green pears I have ever seen. Bartlett, right? I was introduced to Bartlett pears this year and love them, although the Comice will always reign as the best type ever. 🙂

As for avocados, my dad got me a teeny avocado once; it was half the size of my fist! Absolutely gorgeous inside. I too would love a palette with those shades of green.

      Yup, Bartlett!

You know what I love about pears? The texture!

I have an avocado story for you: once El Hub and I were running in Hawaii and we saw a HUGE avocado on the sidewalk. It was the size of my head! I guess it had fallen off of someone’s tree. I almost picked it up to take it home, but we were about two miles away and I didn’t want to run all that way with a big a$$ avocado. I should’ve driven back to pick it up, le sigh.

Try MAC Photo Realism Quad and/or Milani Earthly Delights Quad. Both great for greens!
My question is what color lipstick looks best with green on the eyes????

I have some green shades in my kitchen too. I just bought some green apples and pears and also some green bananas ( I hate them when they are too yellow and soft).

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
