You Only Get One Shot 24 Times With the New Sephora Formula X Press Pods Single-Use Nail Polish System

The part of me that takes indecision to epic heights would have a field day with this set of 24 — yes 24! — single-use nail polishes.

That’s right, single use. As in one use each. That’s the idea behind the Sephora Formula X Press Pods set ($39 for 24 shades). You open a bottle, paint yo’ paws with it, and then ditch that one when you’re done.

“Why settle on one color when you can have 24? Meet the Press Pods — travel friendly, single-use manicure capsules — and play your way through a vast color spectrum with one tiny, groundbreaking innovation. The set includes a variety of polish-filled pods in a covetable collection of standout shades, including vibrant classics, elegant neutrals, and modern metallics. One capsule paints all 10 nails in two generous coats of superior lacquer. For a flawless manicure on-the-go, simply pop, press, and paint.”

Just think of the possibilities. You could be like, BOOM! I’m the Jack Bauer of the nail polish world, and I’m gonna paint my claws a new color every hour for an entire day!

Or, you could sit there, like I probably would, and vex over whether you should start with the colors you want to wear the most (life is short, why not?), or save the ones you want to wear the most for last.

Hmm…

I came this close to picking this up at Sephora yesterday, but I just couldn’t figure out where I’d start. Nail polish indecisiveness, #thestruggleisreal!!

The Sephora Formula X Press Pods are available now at Sephora stores and online at sephora.com.

Yeah, I can’t tell if I like this concept or not…what if you want to do accents with colors in the kit? Then the number of manicures is even more limited. I think I might go for this if the price were a little lower.

So we can spend 39 dollars on enough polish for 24 manni’s, or 11 bucks on a bottle that would get you enough to do probably 5 times that? The economics does not compute..

The concept is quite interesting.. I would like to have more of a mix of shades, finishes and some holo nail paints too in the collection for varying moods… 😉

I like this, but it doesn’t sound very environmentally friendly…!

I heard the application process is to difficult, the container is almost impossible to press to dispense the Polish. Pass…………

They look so cute! I saw them in store yesterday. Much smaller than I imagined. I would rather buy 1 or 2 bottles of polish I really loved though. Most of the reviews say application is very difficult and messy.

It’s cute, and great if you want to try a whole bunch of shades from their line without actually investing in a full size bottle, I guess, but…something about it just feels really wasteful! Like when Sunsweet sells individially wrapped prunes as snacks..no matter how much I might like dried fruit (and I think prunes get such a bad rap, LOL!), there is no way that it feels right to have them individually packaged in plastic…

Did that even make sense? 😛

OMG I totally agree on those prunes! Ridiculous amount of packaging waste!

    It’s a cool concept I guess. But I don’t think I’d buy this. Seems a bit wasteful.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
