Super cuteness launched this month at Maybelline. These $3.99 Color Show Nail Polishes are new for summer.

The three on the left are Color Show Polka Dots — available in five shades, each with black and white glitter in hexagonal shapes of different sizes that sort of look like dotted nails, and all have a sheer base that dries to a matte finish.

The one of the far right is the one doing its own thing… That’s Color Show Holographics Nail Polish in Alluring Rose, one of four new holo shades designed to change colors in the light.

They’re all available now online and at drugstores and Ulta.

I love the orange one! It would look great over a bright summer orange base shade! Love the Jade and Blue ones too! In fact, all of them! haha

I’d love to see what they look like on your nails! I saw them in the drugstore and the large glitter caught my eye but the base looks…weird..and milky…

They look good! I’d love to see them on your nails. I wonder how easy it is to get the glitter where I’d like them to be…

Okay, I’m totally into the polka dotted ones. I think I might have to pick a few up. I especially like Blue Marks the Spot.

Really pretty .. but I’ve noticed when glitter is large .. it doesn’t tend to sit flat on the nail. I do really love Blue Marks the Spot though.

Those polka dots are pretty wild! A bit young for me, but they’re super fun looking. I wonder how they build (since they’re so sheer with one coat).

Speaking of nails, check this out (August 2013 cover of Nails Magazine). I thought it was awesome. 🙂

I have a couple bottles of Maybelline Color Show polish in Coral Crush. It’s a really good polish, last a long time on me. Polishes with speckles and little dots remind me of the way bacteria looks under a microscope, not a fan.

How do you get the dots off. I used polish remover and the green came off but NOT the dots!!

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
