What do you think of these shoes? Yay or nay?

if the strappies stopped before the ankle..yes. As they are, no…the top would fall at a weird place and make my legs look like fence posts lol

    I say Nay.

I also think I’m starting to get old. These just scream Dominatrix to me for some reason.

Oh. If movies were shoes and they could bear offspring, these would be the love child of Gladiator and La Cafe au Folles.

    Just sayin.

If they were comfortable, I would say yay because they are kinda cool looking.

Since I would imagine they would be extremely uncomfortable no matter how many insoles you put in them, I’d have to say nay. But they are cute!

Yay! I love strappy tough looking shoes. I would prefer a thicker heel or even a wedge!

There aren’t many Gladiator styles I think are attractive & I like these. I still will have to say Nay! They look like they would be terribly uncomfortable and a major pain to get on and off.

They definitely have some attractive detailing like the metal hardware, but I don’t like how high the top two straps are. I imagine someone would have to be six feet tall in order for these shoes to not visually shorten the leg line (sorry, been watching too much What Not to Wear). They remind me of ankle boots and even though the “ankle boots with short skirts” trend was in this past winter, it is usually a faux pas for 95% of women’s body types. Also, they remind me of some “granny boots” I had when I was 10. Way too 80s. I say nay.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
