April 17th, 2009 by Karen 13 Comments

I just realized I no longer have a tape player in my house. Kinda tragic, really…

      Hi Yadi,

Do you know how badly I want to play that? I can’t even begin to tell you!

I used to have one in my ’95 Honda Civic but I think my dad replaced it with a CD player…

Y’know, ironically, I do have a tape player that can hold two tapes (it’s sad, I know).

I think I have an old boom box somewhere that plays tapes – I have no idea if it works though. Even more sad – I have old vinyl records that I don’t know WHY I’m saving, I can’t play them!! Maybe for the treasured album covers. LOL!

I still got a tape deck in my car. It has a CD player too. So I’m not that behind in technology. We still have a boombox in the garage that can hold 2 tapes.

omg…i had the jordan knight tape. i looooved that song! when i was…14, 15 (?), a few friends and i got to go to a nsync concert (dont tell anyone!!) and he opened for them. i distinctly remember looking through binoculars (we had nose bleed seats) just as he was humping the stage. he had a really nice butt 😀 i drove my best friend crazy with that song (give it to you). she said that the music in the beginning sounded like circus music.

Oooohh..The Cure. I honestly don’t think I have a tape player either, now that you mention it. I used to have one in my car, but then I got a newer one with a cd player.

Wow I’m speechless! I can’t believe you still have them! If I asked my 13 year old what these are, he’ll say: “Give me a sec mom, I’ll have to google it..” 😀

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
