The new Urban Decay Naked Basics Palette

Super new from Urban Decay: the new Urban Decay Naked Basics palette ($27). It’s a matte palette with neutral shades designed to complement both the Naked and Naked2 palettes.

Naked Basics includes six full-size shadows with four new shades:

  • Venus: a demi- matte soft off-white
  • Foxy: a matte light yellowish beige
  • Walk of Shame: a matte light pinkish nude
  • Naked2: a matte rosy taupe
  • Faint: a matte warm brown
  • Crave: a matte dark brownish black

Find it soon at Sephora, Ulta and select Macy’s stores, and online November 29 on urbandecay.com.

I already have Naked2, but I love the fact that this is all-matte. I do wish they would have thrown in some sort of satiny highlighter. But this would make a wonderful gift for older beauties like my mother who are looking for wearable mattes!

The lightest shade is a demi-matte, it has a little bit of a satin finish, perfect for an inner corner highlight.

I love that they’ve listened to some of us who would like to see more matte shade variety between Naked 1 and 2. Adore both palettes but matte is where it’s at sometimes and this looks like it hits the spot!

Love the size of that palette! I hate big and bulky palettes. I wish they would have added a dark brown instead of one of the beiges!

Oh I love matt shades. These are so wearable especially to work where I want minimun shimmer on my eyes. Foxy & Walk of Shame look so fab!

Adding to my list right away! 🙂

I definitely NEED to have this. I wasn’t a fan of Naked or Naked 2 because of the lack of matte shades, but considering how small and compact this is, seems like it would be a staple in my makeup bag.

Pretty! I definitely need some more mattes in my collection and this one would DEF get a lot of use! I do wish there were a bit more variation with the 3 left shades, but the 3 right ones are GORGEOUS!

I think I’m going to get this for my sister! It looks like a great starter for great value 😀 I have NAKED 1 but my sister isn’t into the darker colors, like Dark Horse. I think this gives for a great selection!

As much as I love UD palettes I think it’s the first one in a long time that I don’t want to get. I can see its versatility but I am not really a big fan of matt eyeshadows.

This evens out the lacking matte shades from naked 1&2. That’s great, only foxy’s a repromote, definitely getting this.

Nice addition to the Naked family but I’m a little disappointed to be honest. Love the three shades on the right but the three on the left are way too similar in the fact that they are highlight shades. What’s a girl to do with 3 highlight shades?

I’ll probably still pick this up as it’ll be great to use in conjunction with my Naked palette (I’ve yet to pick up a Naked 2) but alone, I don’t think it’s anything wow. If only they’d done a WHOLE Naked (style) palette consisting of only matte shades. Now that woulda’ been nice.

DUDE!!! I was totally going to go on a no buy makeup after going bananas with the VIB 20% sale. This is the pallete I need for my everyday look. My hubby is going to kill me when he sees the credit card! Also, I just got a huge haul from Singapore and Bangkok. Do I need this?!?!? YES!!

Crazy. Urban Decay really wants to rack up on some dough by coming up with these “nude” eyeshadow palettes. I dont know if this one will sell as well as the other naked palettes.

I’m gonna pass. The first 4 shades are far too fair for my NW47 skin tone. I think the last 2 colors are great though.

This is adorable. I love compact things… and am tempted to get this for that fact alone. However, I think I have most of these shades in my collection already. Also, I agree with previous commenters who didn’t like the inclusion of 3 highlight-type shades.

I think I might like this better than the 1st. It has that same awful packaging, but I still want it.

Isn’t brownish black the same shade that is in the first palette? .
