Topshop Highlighter in Horizon: Available Now at Topshop Stores, Online, and Wherever the Curvature of the Earth Makes Distant Objects Appear to Fall Out of Sight…

Say hello to the dawn of an epic glow as far as the eye can see! — a glow that spans the great expanse of non-glowing-ness from here to eternity. Or the horizon, whichever comes first.

Topshop’s shimmery, bronzy powder highlighter in Horizon ($16) has a mirror-like shine that likes to belt bold tunes in the spotlight, not whisper quietly in the wings… It’s like Celine Dion, except instead of wanting to command the stage, it wants to out-diva whatever else you might be wearing on your cheeks.

And you don’t have to go to the ends of the earth to find it (Get it? Horizon? Sorry…), because it’s available now at Topshop stores and online. 🙂

P.S. Happy Tuesday! It hasn’t stopped raining here in two days… And that’s actually not a terrible thing, although Tabs is none too pleased about it.

That is so pretty! I love Topshop’s packaging, too. It looks sort of similar to Bobbi Brown’s Sandstone, what do you think?

Happy Tuesday! I spent my morning in Jury Duty (blegh!), but back to the grind, now!

How far did you make it into jury selection? I was picked once for a trial! It was when I was working in law so it was kind of exciting.

I was empanelled 😛 haha which was disappointing, because the case sounded like it was DRAAAMAAAAAAAAAAAA.
I’m curious Karen, did you go to law school? I’ve been thinking about what path I should take now that undergrad is done and I’m thinking about either law or hospital administration. I wanted to hear your opinion on law! 🙂

Jury duty is something I think everyone should do once. It’s very interesting!

I didn’t go to law school, no. I took the LSAT, applied, got in, and ultimately decided it wasn’t for me. It was working in law firms that sealed the deal. I just couldn’t see myself doing that for the rest of my life. I figured if I wanted to go to grad school it would have to be for something that I really wanted to do, and ultimately, I didn’t. I would’ve ended up with an advanced degree, which would’ve been fine (still a life-long dream of mine), but I don’t think I would’ve been happy. IMHO, law school is something you really, REALLY have to want in order for it be worth your while. If it’s something you’re serious about I suggest working in a firm for a year or two to get the feel of the people and the culture. If you can see yourself fitting in, then go for it!

This is super pretty, would be perfect for the holiday season. That’s the time when I feel like overboard shimmer and glitter is OK! The packaging is really pretty too!

Wow, that is some in your face glow. Not for the subtle makeup, I reckon.
I am more into a demi-matte finish on my skin, probably because I have been shiny all through my teenage years.

Nothing subtle about this at all! But when used in a controlled way it’s very pretty.

Do you have access to Hourglass? You might like their Ambient Lighting Powders if you prefer a subtle highlight.

      Happy Tuesday to ya!

No, you can’t get Hourglass in Germany/Europe directly, but now that Sephora started shipping here you can order it online.
I wanted to try them quite some time now, but it is an investment and I would love to see the shades in person before I decide…
I will place an order some time soon, and maybe order some of their Ambient lighting blushes too, just in case 😉

The highlighter looks super nice for a holiday party. Isn’t it so sad when you see the kitties looking out the window on rainy days?

Oh gosh, yes. I have a sad kitty looking outside my window right meow! Umm, and he might be wearing a bold statement necklace. 🙂

Do your kitties watch for you to come home? Tabs does that sometimes, and when he sees me, he starts mewling. Poor sad tabby!

Oh yes…Tulip either sits in the front window waiting for me to come home or is sitting on the sofa in front of the door going to the garage. Jazmine just comes running when I open the door. Both of them meow at me until I feed them. Then Tulip will meow until I pick her up. Tulip is a big baby…always wants to be carried around the house. If only they made kitty bjorns (just like baby bjorns).

I just recently started using highlighter and I have enough to last forever. Since I’m a little older I don’t like to go too nuts. I really like the subtlety of IT Cosmetics highlighter in the vitality palette that comes with bronzer, blush, and highlighter.
This really is a pretty shade but super shiney.

      Hi Majick,

If you like your highlighters on the subtle side then you also might like the Hourglass Ambient Powders. Have you tried them yet? They’re pricey but super pretty. You can get that glow without the high frost. I use them all the time!

Tehehehe, diamonds in the sky. Ya know, I could fry some chicken on my face in the summer time. This is beautiful, though. Seeing as how you shine so brightly AND can rock this, perhaps I should try it out? I did purchase the Hour Glass Ambient Lighting palette & I’m really enjoying playing with it & learning the best ways to use it 🙂

Maybe do something at a counter near you first, since Topshop is a little hard to find. Just so you can try it on and see if you like it. Do you live near a Bobbi counter? Her Shimmer Bricks are similar, although you really gotta control the powder. The BECCA ones are also fabulous too! I think you could do either Opal or Topaz.

And lol, fried chicken. I haven’t had it in years, but I certainly miss the breading. Mmmm…

Hey Karen, I have 1 ambient powder and I treated myself to the blush palette since I liked the diffused heat blush. The palette is even prettier than I imagined.
