Sending You Sunshine…

A purple ranunculus (thank you, college level botany classes, for your gift of knowledge)

Just in case you need some today.

Yesterday I had to make an emergency vegetable run (yes, that’s a real thing), and I saw these pretty flowers at Trader Joe’s.

Spring is not far away, my friend. I’m just sayin’. Hang in there. 🙂

You know, I swear, if it weren’t for Trader Joe’s, all I’d ever eat are those mini Babybel cheeses and microwave popcorn…

In other news, what did you do for your makeup today? I went with purply brown cat eyes, mrow! 🙂

Have a great day today. Talk to you soon.

Help! I’m trying to find a makeup website that launched March 1, 2015 and is Korean I believe. They advertised all over with a picture of bright lips that changed colors from the inside out starting with yellow on the inside to red on the outside. Did you see anything like this? It was all over my pop up ads until now that it has launches and I can’t find it by searching google. Any help would be great!

Thanks for the flowers, Karen. We are having another terrible day in Mi- rain, snow, sleet, you name it! I am glad it’s supposed to be in mid 70s in Vegas next week 🙂

I am so excited KWMichelle is your reader of the week! She’s going to be so excited when she sees that! She is such a wonderful person and she has mad makeup skills!

Those are beautiful, Karen! 😀 It’s been raining non-stop for three days here in my corner of Texas, so they’re a welcome change.

I used the Cinderella eyeshadow palette today to make a navy blue smokey eye 🙂 “Stroke of Midnight” eyeshadow comes up navy on my skin!

You were right about the eye gloss, Karen. I wore it to the gym last night and felt totally badass!

Pretty flower, Karen! It’s still too early for flowers here in Montana. 🙁

I haven’t done my makeup yet. I’m running at noon and will totally doll myself up afterward! Any suggestions?

So jealous. Yesterday was pretty nice, mid thirties and sunny, but today my drive to work was treacherous and my car is covered in a thick layer of ice.

Grump! I was really lazy with my eye makeup today. Just Chanel Stylo Waterproof liner in Khaki Precieux.

Oh those flowers are so beautiful!

I kept my makeup simple today. A wash of pink cream eyeshadow, paired with a shimmering peachy pink blush and lips.

Thank you! I needed this today. It is currently gray and raining right now. The only good thing is that it will wash away some of this snow! Those flowers are absolutely gorgeous. The variety of colors in nature is amazing. Happy Tuesday!

Thank you for your thoughtful gift of sunshine and beautiful flowers! It is gray where I am and more snow is expected. Spring has to be coming soon….I am contemplating a TJ run for tomorrow before the storm. 🙂

Karen, I needed..really..needed..to see those beautiful flowers today. It is snowing and icy and cold in west Michigan. BUT I am scheduled to have back surgery..actually a fusion in my lower spine, and the pics of those beautiful flowers made me smile. I needed that happiness in my life today. Thank you!!

Isn’t it amazing that flowers make you feel more happy instantly? I have a few that should bloom in the garden soon, I’m crossing my fingers that they will!
I bought callas from Trader Joe’s last week, they’re still so pretty. There’s nothing like flowers to make my living-room more welcoming!

Neutral eyes with Blue liner for a pop of color on the lower lashline and a bright lip (MAC Star Quality Lipgloss).

I love the mini Babybel cheese, too. You’re never too old to get a kick out of rolling that wax. 🙂 Your flower pics are beautiful and reminded me that I had a dream last night that I was walking somewhere and all the cherry blossoms were out. Come on, spring!

From January to March I wish I live in California. It has been in the teens and twenties for most of the winter and we are expecting up to eight inches of snow here tonight. Spring seems so far away, so thanks for the pretty flowers.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
