Gotta love lip colors you can wear with errrrthing. 🙂

Concubine, part of the new Obsessive Compulsive Cosmetics Dune Generation collection, is one of those colors that looks right at home whether you’re rocking a dramatic makeup look or something minimalist and nude.

Described as a warm neutral plum by OCC, I get more of a coral vibe on my lips (which I like!). If your skin picks up lots of buttery golden color during the summer months, it could become your new BFF.

Find it now online at sephora.com and occmakeup.com, and look for it in Sephora stores starting June 6.

It’s definitely nowhere near what I’d call plum, and it’s a little lipliney on, but a coral always gets a few points from me for being a coral 😉

Hmm…definitely not getting a plum vibe either. BUT the coral is soft enough to be a wearable almost nude pink. And that is hard to find for anything deeper than medium skin tone, so huzzah!

Oh this one is gorgeous on you, Karen! Although to be honest, I can’t for the life of me figure out why OCC calls this plum!

Omg I LOVE this color!! I kinda wish OCC made these in the old packaging so they’d be easier to apply. I’d be all over them!

That shade is an absolute stunner. I may have to finally delve into the lip tars for this one!

This color is gorgeous on you, Karen! But how did it wear? I tried OCC lip tars Dec 2012 and they feathered and bled like crazy, as if I had eaten very oily food, shortly after applying. This is not a problem I usually have.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
