Nails Inc. New Globe Walk SNOW GLOBE Nail Polish

November 3rd, 2015 by Karen 18 Comments

Shake it like a Polaroid picture! Inside a snow globe! Because that’s what this is like.

How cute is this?! It’s a little snow globe inside a nail polish bottle, except the snowflakes are golden.

This is new $15 Nails Inc. Globe Walk SNOW GLOBE Nail Polish, and it’s available now on the Nails Inc. website.

The weather calls for a blizzard of hexagonal glitter flecks in a clear polish base. The flecks rest on the bottom of the bottle until you shake it up. Just shake, then paint, either on top of bare nails or another polish. Here I’m wearing Snow Globe on top of two Nails Inc. NailKale polishes, deep cherry Victoria and nude Montpelier Walk ($14 each, available now on the Nails Inc. website and Sephora).

If you haven’t tried any Nails Inc. polishes before, put giving them a try on your “to do” list, because they’re grrrrreat! — especially if your hands take a beating like mine do. They’re super sturdy when you wear them with a base and top coat. I get at least five days before any flakes, which is pretty good for me.

I also like the brush, because it’s flat and wide like OPI’s, so it’ll cover an entire nail in a few swipes. The smooth, opaque formula dries pretty quickly, too. Like around 10 minutes, tops, and it’s on the thinner side, so no goopy drama. Bottom line, it’s good stuff.

It’s weird, but suddenly I’m thinking about putting up a few Christmas decorations…

I think I should wait, though, at least until Thanksgiving, but I do feel the urge.

I blame it on my Target. This year they didn’t even wait until after Halloween to roll out the Christmas decorations, like this sassy trio…

LOVE THEM. Seriously, if I were a rose gold deer wearing a faux fur stole, I’d be serving so much face, too. 🙂

LOL!

Your friendly neighborhood beauty addict,

Karen

I feel like stores are pretty early with their Christmas decoration this year, some even put things out before November 1st, which is unusual.

Very pretty and festive 🙂 But I agree with Carol above me here, it’s done in a subtle way. I’m not too crazy about glitter that’s too much in your façade.

The beauty of this polish is you can do as much or as little glitter as you like.

I love the snow globe effect. 🙂 I almost never see or hear of Montpelier outside of our local area so it’s pretty cool that it’s being used for a polish name. It was an answer on Jeopardy once and the contestant mispronounced it as “mont-pel-ee-ay”. I know, very random thing to remember. HAHA!

I hear you on the xmas decorations. I was in Michaels a couple of weeks ago to grab picture frames and they had some awesome stuff in there. I literally had to force myself to walk away or I would have been browsing and picking things up, left and right! 🙂 Thanks for the head’s up on Target. Must not go in!

      Hi Kim,

So now I’m curious — what’s the correct pronunciation of Montpelier?!

OK, thanks for the heads up on Michaels. That place is dangerous, in a good way. 🙂

Oh, sorry, it’s mont-PEEL-yer (or mont-PEEL-ee-er). No French accent for our Vermont friends, who can actually say it more like Mont-PEEL-ya, depending on where they live in VT. 🙂

I know, Michaels can be crazy. And, in our store, they have the Sephora-style impulse trap in the checkout line. Of course, theirs is like 90% candy so I try not to bring the boys in there when I have to go. HAHA!

My Target had Christmas decor out 2 weeks before Halloween! My husband and I couldn’t tell if we loved or hated those deer. They did inspire my husband to do some fierce posing in the aisle with them. You would have laughed!

I still need to take down the Halloween decorations, lol. I’m going to start buying some Christmas presents this week. Those deer are cute, going to look for them when I go to Target this week.

You know me, I’m all about glitter! I’d probably spend all day shaking the polish bottle and watching the glitter fall. I’m easily amused.

Those deer are fierce. I love them.

Very cute and not over the top glittery. That will help getting it off again too! 😉

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
