I Think We Have Enough Glitter for Now

OPI’s The Living Daylights ($8.50) from the 12-piece Skyfall collection. So sparkly!

Even though Timothy Dalton’s probably my least favorite Bond, I have good memories of this film. When I was a kid, I watched it with my family at the now defunct Union City Drive-In Theater.

I miss drive-ins… They were a lot of fun.

And I have bought OPI’s Every Month Is Oktoberfest, was dreaming about that shade ever since I saw it, it’s truly gorgeous.

Have you found a polish remover that works well with sparkle polish? I have the worst time trying to get these types of polishes off.

      Hi Marla,

I’ve found that taking a long shower first helps to loosen the glitter’s grip on my nails. Right when I get out of the shower, I grab some cotton rounds and this nail polish remover from Sephora:

SEPHORA’s Instant Nail Polish Remover is the only one that works for me at least. It only takes a few rubs and it’s out like a light. 🙂

I love the color but I very rarely use glitter nail polish because it’s so difficult to remove. But I’ll make sure to use the tip you suggested above.

Totally agree with you about Timothy Dalton being the least liked Bond. Sephora’s instant nail polish remover is the best to remove glitter.

I use cotton rounds with glitter polish, but I’ll have to try the shower thing. Thanks. I always felt sort of bad for Timothy Dalton because it was pretty common knowledge that he was a place holder for Pierce Brosnan. My hubs and I used to go to the Union City drive in, back before it became a strip mall. Sigh.

There’s still a drive-in where I live! 😀 You can see bats fly overhead when the sun starts to set, and LOTS of stray furbabies (my nickname for cats). As for this polish… We DO have enough glitter! Its pretty but not my cup of tea.

I love the song from this 007 film.

About Makeup and Beauty Blog

Welcome to Makeup and Beauty Blog
Hi there! I’m Karen, your friendly neighborhood beauty addict, and I’m a Bay Area girl who hoards brown eyeshadow and covets coral lipstick. Every morning, I wake up and say, “I’m going to do something other than a smoky eye today.” Then…I end up doing a smoky eye anyway (most days). When I’m not putting on makeup, taking pictures of makeup or writing about makeup, which I’ve been doing daily since 2007 (!), you’ll find me hanging out with my hubby (“El Hub”), my four-year-old daughter (Connor Claire) and my torbie girl cat (Pretty Girl Rosie, a.k.a. PGR).
